Dark Extraction Spawn Time

If there is a targetable body and we go thru the animation of spawning Extracted Essence.......GIVE US THE PET!!!!! Tired of  Non-Spawns!

It should animate much faster, and the check for the viable corpse should happen instantly. Shame for such a unique, class defining skill to just fail to do anything 1/3rd of the time you try to use it.

The thing I hate most is watching a body fade as I raise my arms. Targeting one too late sucks.

Yeah. This has been a longstanding request/gripe. It got worse during invasions when they cut down the despawn time of defeated mobs to cut down the "clutter."

Also it'd be great if the extracted pet matched your own color scheme.

This is frustrating to all hell, years later. It can even be a fresh corpse that was defeated 2 seconds ago and a good chunk of the time nothing is summoned. Is there any surefire way of getting Dark Extraction to give the pet?

I have never noticed it not spawning if I select an appropriate body.

there are always times it won't spawn when i select an inappropriate body, such as one that I know I defeated some time ago (risk of disappearing) or one that despawns on death like ghosts.

 

I guess its just one of those things that you need to keep a track of when you see its cooldown coming back up. If you are in the middle of a spawn you can be sure there'll be a fresh dead body soon otherwise be careful!
