How to do more damage with Ill/Cold? Need help with build

Hi guys, trying to improve on my Ill/Cold. I recently changed from /Ice Mastery to Mace and was wondering how I can improve on it. With forcefeedback, I can get perma hasten and perma PA but I'm a little concerned about my defences and survivability. I would really appreciate any advice on how to make this build better for endgame content.

Thanks so much for this. How do you feel about your damage? both single target and AoE at end game? Is it still decent without proc spamming?

Not a real review, I simply glanced at it but I'd warn you to turn OFF the FF proc in Disruptor Blast which is way skewing your global recharge.  

 

Also the BU proc in Tactics is overstating your final to-hit in powers, such as Benumb.

What are you finding your defenses and damage to be too low against? What are you trying to achieve that your ill/cold is currently struggling against?

Dammit you're absolutely right. Its extremely hard to achieve decent uptime on PA. I'll have to rethink my whole thing. And thanks for the input on achilles on sleet and gaussian on tactics. Back to the drawing board!

Cold is a great set, but other than Arctic Fog, none of its powers protect you. And if you're 1-slotting the shields (and not taking Glacial until lvl 49), you're not helping your team much either. Why is it you're taking Cold?

 

Slot Spectral Terror with an Accurate Tohit Debuff set, not Will of the Controller. You want to enhance Spooky's -tohit, not his fear.

Never had any issues its soloed pretty much everything i wanted it too, great on teams (who doesnt want a /cold) I dont really use much beyond PA/sleet/heat loss, the rest are just mules for recharge and ranged defence.

IME an ill/cold with no procs, but lots of recharge still tears through single targets (especially tough ones) as quick as pretty much anything in the game. A proc focused build is almost unmatched.

 

I don't think you'll ever turn it into an aoe powerhouse, but I don't see why that matters much. In a team you can off-tank and provide cold buff/debuff, which makes you pretty desirable even with less than stellar aoe damage.

 

I run multiple builds for my ill/cold. The solo focused shares little in terms of powers, slotting goals, or playstyle to the teaming one.

I was more in it for the set bonus as I wanted the recharge and range defense. I am fully banking on PA tanking my hits for me. And yeah I took glacial super late, but probably shouldnt have, although I am aiming to play this guy in 50+ content anyways.

I have fixed my build and went for non-proc based. I tested on pylons and managed to get sub 2 minutes without much effort (only T2 agility alpha and T2 degen interface) so I think its working out great! Thanks for all your help.

 

Which Interface Incarnate do you reckon works best? Currently running degen

 

1 minute and 20 seconds pylon now 😄 with T3 alpha and interface only

For interface I went Radial Degen.

Radial reactive would be really good too.

Combine a lack of damage immunities plus any true healing present to use on Phantasm then add in a dash of pet AI resulting in target focus issues as well as no taunt himself I can understand skipping especially if slotting gets tight.  That's not to say he's terrible not by a long shot.  The duplicate he creates is does have immunities and draws aggro/taunts therefore adds to damage output and helps keep stuff off you and cover any gaps left by PA.
