SWTOR might be moved to maint mode

Recommended Posts

I've been watching this since it developed.

Something like 40 developers have moved from Bioware to Broadsword. Which is supposed to be half of the dev team. They've claimed several times that development will continue and that the game is not going into maintenance mode.

I guess we'll see though.

Well, then they said they will finish patches x, y, z but nothing about new development.  It is poorly done spin.

Forty employees is about 30 employees too many for maintenance mode. Of course there's nothing stopping them laying of those 30 once the promised patches are in the game.

I'm trying to be optimistic and take them at their word. I hope you're wrong, but I'll be surprised if you are.

I didn't expect SWTOR to survive the sequel trilogy before Disney yanked the license to do something more closely tied to their story.

But I'm glad it did.  SWTOR (and a little STO) got me through the dark times after the CoH shutdown.
