Would it be possible to add an options to the P2W vendor to allow us to disable common and uncommon salvage drops?  It gets really monotonous trying to keep space in my salvage inventory while farming or even just doing trials and task forces.  Plus you get to a point where this stuff isn't even needed anymore.  Would just be a real nice quality of life feature to be able to disable them from dropping.

He wants rare salvage that sells well, clearly.  ;)

I thought that was obvious, but I guess some people need it spelled out for them.  LOL

But disabling common/uncommon drops doesn't mean you get more rare drops, it just deletes them out of existence. Which is a bad thing for salvage, since everyone uses salvage. You really want Luck Charms to be 500k a pop again?

They can't go over 10k for common, I think 100k for uncommon and 1 mil for rare.  Well until the extra 10 million that the devs put on sale are gone at least.

Me disabling my commons and uncommons won't cause that to happen, and frankly you get to a point where common salvage is just useless.  They aren't worth the time it takes to delete them mid farm/tf/trial/whatever.

It will if everyone does it,

and common salvage is used in every IO recipe. Do you plan on only making one character with one build that you never change?

What farm are you running where you get more than 172 pieces of salvage a run? No, seriously, it sounds insanely lucrative. I'd love to give it a shot.

Personally, I delete all common and uncommon salvage drops once there's no more room. Opening up the market interface and dropping stacks of salvage, limited to 10, to get maybe 1k inf out of each just isn't a good use of your time when you earn almost 100k inf for killing one boss (on a finished character, once you slap on double inf).

So the effect on market supply is 0. You're not getting my commons either way, they're vanishing in the ether. :P

As for the hypothetical slippery slope argument ? It's hard to believe people who would normally sell their salvage would suddenly disable it if given the option. It just makes no sense!

If "everyone" does it then everyone wills top doing it to make some of that influence, and then there are plenty floating around again and prices return to normal, and everyone stops and then prices go up and some people decide it's worth collecting again, and the cycle repeats.

But if the stuff isn't getting into the market either way, as was stated with the idea that they either delete it or simply do not collect it to begin with, then they aren't going to be doing anything to hold the price down either way.

If we can set ourselves up to not collect inspirations of some type or not collect recipes, then why not be able to set ourselves up to not collect salvage?

Insert standard disclaimer about not knowing how much work it would take and if it's too much work then I wouldn't bother, but if it's a relatively quick fix?  I see no harm here.
