Predator Day Job status not returning when interrupted by Caregiver/Pain Specialist Day Job

Issue: Predator Day Job status not returning when interrupted by Caregiver/Pain Specialist Day Job

1. Enter Recluse's Victory from Atlas Park's City Hall on a character that does not yet have the Predator day job.

2. Observe the Predator day job in the status bar.

3. Ascend to the top floor of the base and approach the resurrection pads until the Caregiver/Pain Specialist day job appears in the status bar.

4. Move away from the resurrection pads and move about the base.

Results: The Predator day job does not return to the status bar once the Caregiver day job status discontinues.

If you exit Recluse's Victory back into Atlas Park and return to Recluse's Victory the Predator day job status will appear as expected.

Verified that the same occurs in Warburg, Siren's Call, and Bloody Bay.

If you approach the Black Helicopter in Warburg, Siren's Call, and Bloody Bay will get you both the Pilot and Predator day jobs statuses to appear. When you leave the area of the Black Helicopter, the Predator day job status will remain.

Dumb question: since you're in a PvP zone and all you need to be is in a PvP zone for the Predator day job, then shouldn't both the Caregiver/Pain Specialist and the Predator day job icons be active when you are in the resurrection pad area in the PvP zone? Or am I missing something?

You are not supposed to be able to earn two day jobs at once.  That's the way it was on live, anyway.

This is also like in Striga or DA with the base portal inside the grave yard - you have to move away from the portal to allow the Mortician day job to kick in.  Otherwise, you only earn Monitor Duty.

@Oubliette_Red, this got me thinking about RWZ and the hospital in the base - wondered if it did it there too.  In RWZ, standing in the hospital both icons for Caregiver and Vanguard Recruit appear and you lose Caregiver when moving out of the hospital area.  However, logging out in the hospital area ONLY awards credit to Caregiver - Vanguard Recruit did not even start the progress bar, despite having the icon next to my toon's name.

Standing by the base portal in RWZ, you only get the Monitor Duty icon.  Moving away from the portal, and it switches to the Vanguard Recruit icon.

So your situation seems to be only in PvP zones where the icon will not return.  And it seems RWZ might have a bit of screwiness too.

Right. My mistake. Thanks for the reminder.

Another doubled day job is the base portal location in First Ward, standing near it nets you the Survivalist and Monitor Duty. I'm okay with the doubled-up day jobs, whether they are intended or not, I have no clue. That the Predator status doesn't return unless you leave the zone and return is a bigger issue though.

Are you sure you're not earning Predator even tho the icon is wrong? Because there are a bunch of places were the icons are wonky, like Pocket D. They've been wonky since live.

I don't *think* you're supposed to be able to earn more than one at a time, but again, they've always been wonky so I wouldn't be surprised if there are places where you can.

There are a few places this can happen.   In First Ward with Mortician & Scavenger, PvP zones, etc... Pretty much anywhere where two day jobs can happen.

Just because the icon isn't there, doesn't mean you won't earn credit.  Sometimes, logging off for ~10 minutes, coming back will show progress.  If that's fine, then you can logoff again.

Mission doors can sometimes interfere as well.  Worst example of that is if you are in the vault in Pocket D on the left side (facing out), when you log back in, you enter via a door that's on the other side of the wall and get Clubber Day Job instead of Banker.
