I was bidding on a lvl 30 Steadfast Protection: Resist/Defense recipe. I had 2,000,000 down and tried to change it by highlighting the first 0 and changing it to a 5 to make a bid of 2,500,000. But the game helpfully inserted the 5 between the 2 and the 0 for me instead of overwriting the 0, creating a bid of 25,000,000... and I clicked the bid button before I noticed the game-induced error. Naturally I won, but had a fit when I realized the amount of the bid. Would the player who sold this recipe for the indicated amount care to help me reverse this? I would be ever so grateful...

If I got it, sure I'll refund.

"the game-induced error"... The issue may have been between the stick and the headrest. It definitely wasn't the game that inserted rather than replacing. Many of us have been there. Take comfort in not having made the biggest Black Market mistake ever.

fwiw, I'm well on my way to replacing the lost funds as I got a nice hi-value recipe on my next ITF and sold it at a fair price. Yes, I know I should've looked carefully before bidding on the Steadfast Protection recipe but I had been on a bidding frenzy and all had been working just fine up to that point and I was positive that I had highlighted the 0. Pretty sure the fortunate one who sold the recipe to me will not be coming here to read my post and refund his winnings, but it was a shot in the dark at best. Thanks to you who responded, even the ever-so-helpful "stick & headrest" guy. You're a gem.

See you in the funny pages!

My biggest was in the quantity ordered, as opposed to over-spending for the item.

10 Nucleolus instead of just 1. That was about 4 years ago, when it kind of hurt, despite having the inf available.

I just emailed you some influence and i "sarcasm" accidentally added a zero.  Spend in good health.

If you read through some of the topics of this forum you may never worry about losing 25 million to a fat finger bid again.

My worst case was doing some market work after I had just woken up and wasn't really awake enough to be doing it with care. I added both an extra zero and put 10 in for quantity instead of 1. It teaches us lessons!

I was flipping purples last year and what was supposed to be a lowball 15m per purple bid turned into me buying 20 something purples for 150m a piece. Total loss probably like 2 billion

I think my biggest error is relatively insignificant -- buying a bunch of converters with an extra digit or two in there by mistake and only realizing after I've hit the Bid button a few dozen times.

This booster mishap was probably my most significant win:
