TrishaTwilight
Every other EAT gets some kind of status protection. Permanent or not (or with extensive IOs to be permanent). Warshades, to my knowledge, are left out in the cold here. Peacebringers: light form (not perma without money/IOs) and white dwarf form Arachnos Soldier: Wolf Spider Armor and Bane/Crab Spider Armor Arachnos Widow: Indomitable Will Warshades: nothing other than Black Dwarf. It seems weird to hamstring just warshades with this concern. Sentinels exist and none suffer from this weakness. Support characters still deal with these, but they (theoretically) are less in the mix getting targeted or swept up by the AoEs of status effects. I think it would be a nice QoL upgrade to give Warshades some kind of protection in human form, even if non-perma like PBs unless you slot for it specifically. Eclipse could be a good option to provide some status protection, for example.
Psyonico
As you stated, Warshades get status protection in Black Dwarf. Additionally, you can toggle on Black Dwarf while mezzed. 1 What this team needs is more Defenders
Laucianna
And where Peacebringers get a bit of status protection, Warshades Eclipse includes Psi damage 💛 I would suggest getting the Sheer Will accolade and the Clarion Destiny to help though, and have some Break Frees on hand for dire times 🙂 1 ❤️ Kheldian Guide ❤️ 🎖️ Friday Fashion Contest 🎖️ 🗒️Character Wiki🗒️Friendly reminder that no matter what anyone or anything is saying, you ARE loved AND valued in life no matter what. Wavicle
While I agree with Psyonico that your logic is flawed, I also agree that Warshades ought to have a small amount of Mez Protection in Eclipse. Peacebringers ought, similarly, to get a little Psi Resistance in Light Form. Ukase
So, I feel your pain, OP. Like, literally. My warshade just got stunned a moment ago. But, it's only level 10 atm, because I'm going very slowly with it. For me, this entire game is like the rock/scissors/paper game. The mez is the paper. The WS is the rock. You know the Dwarf form has status protection, but you want it in human form. So would I. And so do I. But, if I did have it, I'm afraid what they'd take away to give it to me might be more than I'd want to pay. I suggest a good offense and prioritize target selection. It's not what you want to hear, but it's my best advice.
Greycat
So you mention support characters. You can deal with mez like some of them can - get the control in first. You've got Inky Aspect, a PBAOE stun. (You *are* taking that, yes?) You have teleport inherently. Even if you want some other travel power generally, you will *always* have this in your toolkit. And which, on arrival, gives several seconds of "untouchable." Which is typically where the alphas and mezzes will fire off at you. Those two together open quite a few possibilities - on top of having several seconds to fire off mire and nuke, or mire and eclipse. Plus, of course, the goodness of Extracted Essences, which are fairly easy to get multiples of and provide not only offense but something else for the enemy to mez instead of you. I don't disagree with Wavicle - throwing some mez protection in Eclipse wouldn't be amiss, it'd be in line with the power, and it's got a "cost" already in needing enemies around to do anything - but as someone who's mained a 'shade, you've already got quite a toolkit to deal with things.
