My attempt at a fast-moving granite tank.  Since you can have Granite as low as Yin TF there is no issue with being defenseless. As granite is the main source of defense for this build it should always be used when fighting. Base Speed: 50.85 mph Granite Armor: 40.82 mph Granite + Rooted: 27.94 mph

Is this a build you are really going to use, or to see what can be done? i just wonder where are your attacks?.

The days of just standing taunting have long gone.....hopefully.

It has plenty of attacks. Yes originally, I just wanted to see if I could build the fastest stone tank, but after leveling it and using it on some high-level TFs, I know it is viable.

Any reason it has to be perma-Granite? It's quite possible to have high res and def to almost everything out of Granite as well as having damage slotted in your attacks. I have a Stone/DM tank and he runs through pretty much all content no problem and I never use Granite. If he doesn't have capped res to a damage type, then it's soft-capped on def.

But if you absolutely have to have Granite, then maybe consider the Teleport pool. Combat TP, TP and Fold Space would probably be way more useful for movement than trying to max out set bonuses only to negate most of the slotting you've done by running in Granite.

Slotting that gets mostly negated so you can run slightly faster in Granite with a Psi hole that gets exploited in a lot of endgame content vs high res and def including Psi, damage in your attacks, and no -recharge to slow down your effectiveness in a team. Which would you prefer?

Essentially this is a rather weak build due to your hyper focus on desires for moving quickly in granite in the way your picks of powers, slotting, and more.

While you have an attack chain, I'd not even call it scratches in terms of damage but more puffs of air really.

You're severely overslotted in damage resistances for some types.

Obviously while you have manageable basic end use to basic end rec, due to your necessity for so many attacks for your chain you're still going to end up needing to use alot of endurance.

Basically in your quest to circumvent the intentionally implemented downsides to using granite, you've made a build that lacks much else in effectivity.  I suggest you run it through typical missions and see how long it takes you to complete them solo on the beta test server as well as other potential issues you may discover from what you've built there.

Additionally, if you've not looked into it, I believe Sovena has some  different non granite builds that when you compare them, you may begin to see how more effective builds for stone can be done.

That's Sovera, not Sovena!

But yes. That said while everyone tries to run away from using Granite I can see the appeal of going around as a big bulky golem with a huge ass axe. But, remember that when you toggle Granite on all your other Stone Armor toggles go off so they are just mules. No point in taking them other than for the purpose of muling. Which is a pity when Minerals gives recharge and will cap Psi defence (which Granite does not have), Brimstone gives damage, and Crystal Armor gives endurance recovery.

You could tweak a few things to increase your E/N defenses to the softcap, and Granite has a -30% recharge penalty but you skipped Hasten, and Fly without Evasive Maneuvers/Hover is slow so you might as well just super Jump around. Even with Tough toggled off you're still way overcapped so it could be good to find further ways to transform S/L resistances into something more useful.

Your attacks are pretty badly slotted but I'm sure you're aware of this. It's a case of thinking if a Brute would not suit this concept better. You don't need to resistances from the Tanker ATO as you're at 90% already anyway, and a Brute's Fury would at least cover the damage aspect. But it's all null and void if you're playing in teams since stuff will be arrested in a seconds anyway. but if solo this will be a slog.

I also predict your endurance will greatly suffer as Axe is endurance heavy and the mostly unslotted attacks will do the job of a Sapper by themselves.

It's a good proof of concept but you should play it and see how it feels and then try to balance it out a bit more. Or if it's feels fine just ignore us and carry on 😄
