ArchangelDax Posted November 26 Posted November 26 So, on Excelsior, there's a player character named Max, and every time he speaks (I want to say in General but could also be in other channels), other players can see his chat in the world (not just on the channel tab), no matter where they are or what missions they're in, and regardless of whether Max is on the same team/league as the other players. As if Max is an NPC in the distance whose chat bubble is visible (currently a black background with red text). ย My theory is that this is so because Max is also the name of a villain of one of the missions in the Citadel Task Force, and somehow the logic is crossing over. (Or alternately, sharing a name with the contact Max.) It might not hold water after all, but thought to mention it in case it leads to something useful.

City Council Number Six Posted November 27 City Council Posted November 27 You won't be able to, it's a combination of the character's specific dbid and an old oversight somewhere with the way chat bubbles are handled and conflation of the dbid / entity id. I fixed it once before for a different situation but it appears there's another case somewhere. ย It's on the radar because GMs get asked about it sometimes, but super lower priority since it's purely a display glitch. It's just a case of a game mistakenly showing a chat bubble when it shouldn't (i.e. it can only happen if you're able to "hear" Max's chat in the first place, by being in the same channel for example). 1
