Misc Power Changes

dark_mastery_blackhole.png Epic > Dark Mastery > Black Hole 

  • This power now applies a trawl (reverse repel) effect.
  • Targets that are immune to the trawl effect will be phased.

 

mentalcontrol_telekinesis.png Epic > Psionic Mastery > Telekinesis

  • Target cap increased from 5 to 10.
  • Toggle duration reduced from 20s to 10s.

 

Armor Sets > Self heals (all)

  • Self heal click powers no longer are irresistible
  • Following heals will ignore Heal Resistances:
    • Regeneration DullPain.png Regeneration > Second Wind
    • Invulnerability DullPain.png Invulnerability > Dull Pain
    • IceArmor HP.png Ice Armor > Hoarfrost
    • Empathy AbsorbPain.png Empathy > Absorb Pain
    • PainDomination SharePain.png Pain Domination > Share Pain
  • The following armored AT Heal Resistance caps have been lowered to:
    • Archetypeicon tanker.png Tanker: 75%
    • V archetypeicon brute.png Brute: 75%
    • Archetypeicon scrapper.png Scrapper: 85%
    • V archetypeicon stalker.png Stalker: 85%
    • Archetypeicon sentinel.png Sentinel: 90%
    • All other ATs remain at 100%

    Design Notes:

    This should allow self heals to become stronger while using Field Medic and Incandescence Destiny actually impact players. This will potentially force some changes in Hamidon tanking strategies, but the encounter should still be possible even with the HealRes debuffs. The heal resistance caps will prevent armored classes to ever be debuffed to the point they are entirely immune to healing.

     

    With this change, Armored ATs should never be able to become immune to healing unless they are on an Untouchable state.

Unnecessary change. This proc is one that's never 'bombed' and is very often fully 6-setted. Why mess with it?

Please add Serum to list of self heals that are no longer irresistible, this would greatly benefits crabs ability to fill as tank when there is no tank or brute on the team.

Please consider changing "Absorb pain" from being a heal to being a true "absorb." Currently, the power's effects are rendered redundant against Heal other/heal aura which in many cases do what Absorb does just with lower values and no downside. Shifting the power to a true absorb would not change way invention sets in the power power are used, allow it to give Empathy some pre-fight protection, and honestly give Empathy characters a reason to choose the power!

 

After all, it's in the NAME!

Sweeping Cross is already useless, why lower it's damage? Honestly, the only thing to make Sweeping Cross actually viable would be to change it to a combo builder or (and this would be significantly better), have it's recharge get refunded when it's used as a finisher. That way it at least has a niche over Spinning Strike.

Is the Axe Cyclone pull working correctly? I logged into beta to test it but the pull doesn't seem to do much of anything now. It seems very inconsistent and barely pulls at all. I was testing in Cimerora wall area against level 54 mobs (sorry I don't test much so not sure if this is a good place to test).

So to be clear any tank de-buffed by "Endocronic Blast" taunting the Hami will be able to use their self heal and have a 25% chance for a direct heal?

A direct heal you receive from others you would get 25% of its value that you would normally receive.  Stalkers would receive 15% of a heal from others.  So things like kin and nature heals will be of lowish value along with direct heals from things like heal other from Empathy when under these effects.  BUT Empathy does get a full heal out of Absorb Pain along with that one from Pain Domination.  Their intention for this is pretty well written out in their Design Notes.

The damage change was probably an automatic consequence of the arc increase due to how the engine actually calculates damage.  In any event, it's a 3.8% damage loss for a 50% arc increase; personally, I'll take that trade as someone who likes the power for its aesthetics. 😛

Armor Sets > Self heals 

 

What about Kheldians? PB/WS? Shouldn't they have some kind of resist? Gonna miss doing MT as my Peacebringer Dwarf with these changes. 

I would think at the very least they should have like a 80% heal debuff cap. Not quite the strength of a tank, but able to fill the role when needed.

Also, the ones that still ignore debuffs are the +Max HP powers, what about Earth's Embrace from Stone Armor? Shouldn't that be included?
