I like the area design of the Rogue Isles a great deal, but what has always put me off, besides the eternally overcast skies, is that they are kind of small. Areas in Paragon City or places like Croatoa extend forever, while the Rogue Isles, each surrounded by water to boot, have to cram interesting corner next to interesting corner. Why not raise them all from the sea? Say that the descendants of Mu have finally gotten their magic together and the islands have started to rise one after another. Volcanoes erupt, sea becomes swampy land crawling with Coralax and exotic monsters Homecoming can design, more landscape floats up with caves, holes and mission doors, ferries are grounded (no point to them anyway with Trump's tariffs). Gradually, at the speed at which Homecoming can handle them, the islands merge in a new land mass.

Meanwhile, as this crisis goes on, the United Nations decides to intervene and declares a humanitarian emergency on the Isles. They become open to heroes without changing alignment. Arachnos rejects this help and their drones still guard all hospitals, Arbiters and key points, shooting at heroes who approach. Heroes only get limited facilities and helicopter pads. A retaliating Arachnos begins attacks on American soil and Paragon City becomes open to villains. For heroes the task is to rescue as many civilians as possible, running up to them and treating them with a special power that causes them to be teleported to safety (they respawn elsewhere in the area). For villains the task is to kill the maximum possible number, using any attack powers on them, or possibly to kidnap and teleport them away to toil for Recluse's Project Fury. Both earn points that unlock, for example, special titles or badges. PvP is allowed only against heroes in red zones, not vigilantes, and villains in blue zones, not rogues.

What your complaint is about is just one of the many factors why a lot of people just don't like red side.

The folks like Snarky who love it - well, they really love it. Let them have it the way they like it. Villains always get the short end of that stick, except when you compare them to Praetorians.

Fewer zones, fewer merits. Fewer contacts. Nah, as much as I'd like alignments to somehow be meaningless and only count for badges and merits, they're here to stay, I think.
The cramped style of red side makes it clear WHY they're villains. Fewer resources. Making do with less. I'd be a crappier, meaner person if I had to live in that muck. Yeah, I think the picture you paint about being surrounded by water drives the point home even further. They just don't have the resources, so they resort to crime. Funny how art imitates life, right?

I am a dedicated Redside player.  I will go hero or vigilante for badges, and rogue.  Any lie i need to tell for a badge is justified.   But i am true RED.

I dont gave not want your stinking PvP in MY PvE game.  Redsiders have it tough enough without being hunted just for trying to run jobs.  You say we will be hunting Heroes in Red zones.  But the truth is PVPers will be the only Blue in Rogue Isles.  With PvP builds, and PvP experience.

I encourage you to form a group/discord to promote PvP in the established PvP zones.

I also encourage you to stay the F out of Rogue Isles politics and society.  Have a great day! 😁

Why not morph the Red PVP zones to PVE (or maybe doppel them so there's a choice of "Warburg (PVE)" and "Warburg (PVP)" on the transit?)  because frankly those places are dead. And ironically some of the best designed places in the Rogue Isles. Instantly more Red space.

Leave RV as is.  The entire meta of RV is PVP.  For the rest it isn't.

That's a small-fry suggestion. Basically a suggestion that definitely nobody will want to implement, because it would be a good deal of work for no appreciable amount of interest as payoff, whereas my idea would be a great amount of work for a great amount of interest.

First of all, why? I described an entire new occupation for visiting, risk-taking heroes and villains on both sides: saving or killing/kidnapping innocents. And all you can think of is that PvPers would come in to hunt other players? But if that proves to be the case, then the PvP component can be cancelled anytime. It's not like an idea has to be implemented in a perfect and eternal form or not at all.

There was someone like this on Titan Forums back in the day who just couldn't stop with the "Everything is falling apart, so here's why I think deleting Controllers is the fix the game needs to survive" or other crackpot ideas and it's basically setting the calendar to see "Oh, new activity on the foru-- oh, this again, and 12-15 folks feeding him.  Must be Friday."

Ah yes lets completely revamp and change a entire half of the game that's a bit underpopulated to add a activity that is already so insanely unpopular that the existing 4 zones for it are basically always empty and like 90% of the player base has a violent reaction to even existing in the game. This will only take a insane amount of development time to the point of likely being realistically impossible even if it WAS a good idea. Like you know pvp works on a ENTIRELY different set of rules right? For it to exist the entire zone would need to use pvp stats, which would make everyone in a zone villian side significantly weaker this isn't something you only have function for player interactions, it's a zone setting. As far as I'm aware there also isn't a system in place for 1 way pvp interactions like you want and I wouldn't be surprised if it was impossible to do, or likely such a massive undertaking it might as well be.

All for a system that already exist in 4 empty zones.

I honestly hope you're a troll.

Because it is not an if. Have you ever played on PvP servers?   That is ALL that some players live for

I believe there's conceptual space for Hero vs Villain zones without the PvP. More like cold war style jabs against the other side for, perhaps, zone control or resources rather than straight up PvP. Like imagine both sides trying to influence Boomtown reconstruction, for example.

But straight up PvP? Others have conveyed how I'd feel well enough.
