twozerofoxtrot Posted Tuesday at 08:54 PM Posted Tuesday at 08:54 PM Erin West - 'Cutting Back Old Growth' Renamed the Alpha Team members. 👀
PresidentDSG Posted Tuesday at 09:38 PM Posted Tuesday at 09:38 PM In case people are curious about the renamed Alpha Team. Is there a particular reason why? In addition to the old set having a theme, the names were kind of just better overall the way they were. Small things like Blazing and Binding both having "Blade" in their name and how confusingthat is on a superteam also are gone. 1

Exiliath Posted Wednesday at 08:28 AM Posted Wednesday at 08:28 AM " Name Tags When using a name tag such as Helper, Help Me, or Roleplayer, your name color is no longer changed." Any reason for this specifically ? That was kind of the point...

My understanding for this is that using this feature to change a player's name color was not the intended purpose, just a convenient side effect. Players were complaining it was too hard to tell the difference between who was on their team and who was using a Help Me tag, was one reason I was aware of. 2 I lead weekly Indom Badge Runs / A newer giant monster guide by Glacier Peak / A tour of Pocket D easter eggs! / Arena All-Star Accolade Guide! I don't agree with the logic but I can see it, I guess.

Some if not all the names were direct references to Nintendo games. Blazing Blade and Binding Blade inparticular were English titles of two different Fire Emblem games.
