Mobs per zone guild?

Apologies if this is answered elsewhere, but I searched and couldn't find an answer.

 

Is there a map of each zone and an indication where certain mobs would spawn?  I seem to remember that back in the day there were maps for every zone, and where each type of mob would spawn was indicated by a colored area on the map.

 

I'm just wondering if those files still exist somewhere and I just can't find them.

The closest I can think for in-game maps is vidiotmaps.

 

If you mean image files you can view outside of the game, try the individual zone pages on the wiki. There will be a link to one or more zone maps (if available) at the bottom of the infobox on the right that show critter placement. Note that some of these maps may be outdated/historic.

Each map on vidiotmaps has that info.  But, as you do hunts, you realize it is partial info. Just because mobs are listed for part of a zone map does not mean there are a lot there.  You have to get to know the city well to find the mobs you want.
