Heatstroke Posted Tuesday at 10:17 AM Posted Tuesday at 10:17 AM This would be a nice Quality of Life addition. For Example if I knew a character was @ veteran level 20. I know @ 21 that character gets Emp merits, that would probably make me want to play that toon to the next vet level. Just a suggestion. 6

For what possible reason would this ever be useful information” Well, your reasoning actually makes a lot of sense. Now this is something I’d like to see implemented. 1
skoryy Posted Tuesday at 11:42 AM Posted Tuesday at 11:42 AM As a quality-of-life improvement, that would be pretty neat. I'm curious how the vet levels actually work and if they could be displayed. Everlasting's Actionette, Guardian Echo Five, Sunflare, and Officer Foxfire! Also Starwave, Nightlight, and many more!

I still don't see it as useful information, given that I know which of my characters have gone full Incarnate or not and will work on those that aren't yet regardless of their vet level. (Their vet levels aren't useful information to me regardless. Not for going full Incarnate. Not for play purposes. Not for anything.) And because I know full well how that statement will be taken, please don't think I oppose the suggestion. I fully understand that there are some players that will find it useful. Just not me. So I'm fine with it being implemented. 1
lemming Posted Tuesday at 08:32 PM Posted Tuesday at 08:32 PM I would love more detail on char select screen. I suppose it depends on how DB intensive the call is to get the various info bits people would like. I'd love a daily pull of info that one could subscribe to.
Ghost Posted Tuesday at 09:24 PM Posted Tuesday at 09:24 PM Know what I think would be great, is if we could customize it ourselves. If they could give us some options that we could see, and allow us to check off 3 or 4 options - like how we can pick which combat attributes to monitor 1 1

I don't know how hard it would be, but if possible, this would be great! 1

So I'm fine with it being implemented. Even if you arent going full incarnate ( and I dont on the majority of my characters ), but for example.. one of my characters I know is sitting @ Vet level 22. So in two more levels I get 20 Emp merits which I could for another character.. That little bit of information across multiple character could be useful, isnt game breaking, and is just a nice QoL feature. 1
mistagoat Posted Wednesday at 02:31 PM Posted Wednesday at 02:31 PM I fully support any suggestion that "X" should be viewable from the character select screen! Show me as many stats as are reasonable possible! I really like Ghosts suggestion that we get to pick and choose. Some others I'd like to see: inf merits alignment # of purple/pvp recipes in inventory TIME PLAYED!!!!! (I swear the "M" named npcs are rarer than purple recipe drops!) Super Group active mission I'm sure there are a million more things that would be nice to see there too. Unfortunately I'm not very optimistic that any of this will get implemented due to the dev teams limited time but I would love to be proven wrong! 1 SPOON!

Vet level is useful to have immediately visible on the character list. For the stats in your list, 'active mission' is indeterminate unless you're in a TF (logged out while in a TF proper is rare any more, but in an Ouro arc also counts. Other stats would be better, I think, shown in a 'right-click for detailed info' pop-up window, instead of being there constantly to clutter up the screen. 1

I forgot about the alignment Icon, thx! Yeah a "details" button would be great for keeping a clean look. Heck, if we move it to a button and pop up window maybe it could even let us look at our inventories from the select screen! I know I've had occasions where I know that recipe dropped the other night but what dang toon was I playing??? This way I wouldn't have to log in 15 toons to search for that thing! SPOON!

I mean, it's great you find that information useful. I still don't. However, like I said in the post you quoted, I'm fine with your suggestion being implemented. I did not say the OP was game breaking. I did not even oppose the OP. I specifically made a point of saying I am okay with the OP in my post you quoted. So, why are you telling me something you already stated in the OP?

There's a lot of unused space between the list and the selected character, so it would be great if we could customize that and have it display some useful information. What about trading items between characters in the character selection screen, though? Being able to consolidate your stuff without logging in to each character individually? It would be way handier than using the mail system. Could you drag and drop items from the items/currencies displayed on one character to the nameplate of another character on the account to transfer them? Wonder if it's possible. Edit: I mentioned the mail system but could have expanded on that, too. Mail access from character selection? Edited Wednesday at 05:49 PM by Boas

Unfortunately I'm not very optimistic that any of this will get implemented due to the dev teams limited time but I would love to be proven wrong! Inf would be tremendously useful for me to be able to see. Can't count the times I had to search through sometimes dozens of the alts that had been played more recently to see which one forgot to email the 300 million inf back to myself... I'd like to see: Active Badge (easier) or a check box for a specific accolade (more useful... like have you unlocked Patron Powers on this toon?) Also, more in line with the OP, it'd be nice to see if there's a difference between actual level and trained level say for when I gain a few levels and log without training, then don't come back to that toon for a few days/weeks/months, knowing just from a glimpse on character select, Oh, I need to log in and train this guy. 1
