OMG Rocket Boot Aura!!!

I didn't see this talked about, (or maybe I just missed it), but there is now a "travel aura" that gives you wonderful rocket plumes out the bottom of your feet, which you can select to occur while jumping, flying, or both!  No longer must I be confined to rocket boots to get rockets on my feet!  TYVM!

I noticed that as well but I still don't know what it looks like, and I'd have to turn off the rainbow path aura to get it, so...

Try adding wings in the costume editor. They put you in a flying/hover animation that might trigger the rocket boot aura.

Ever see the robot MM pets while under the effect of group fly?  It's like that.  The character I posted is only like level 1, so I can't quite capture it, (though it does work while jumping too, but my printscrn finger ain't that fast, lol).  I'll try to get a better picture when I can...

I added it to a couple of my characters for jumping, since they're "normals" with skills rather than super powers, so their big jumps (via athletic run + CJ) are boosted by little rockets on their boots. It's a neat effect.

I tried it out, and it does help a couple of my characters.  For that, a big thanks!

 

That said,  I dislike that there's no way to see it in the costume setup screen.  I basically have to buy it, then buy each color change, exiting the tailor screen each time until I find the right match.  That's a mere annoyance for a 50 with more INF than they know what to do with, but is problematic for a first timer with INF issues.  

 

Also, why was this granted and the flame not also added to the "Vanguard w/ Jetpack" backpack?   That item has been screaming for a flame ever since it was released.

You can give yourself wings temporarily to see them in action.  That's how I got my screenshot above.

Honestly, I'd like to see an "Always On" option for the rocket boot aura. When you're just standing there, the effect would be concealed beneath the ground anyway, but when you start running it could look like rocket propelled running as your feet kick up behind you.

Teleport also activates the rocket boot aura since it includes a temporary hover effect.  So while you are hanging in the air between teleports, your rockets are on.  They actually turn on with the initial teleport animation that lifts you off the ground slightly and then they stay on after the Teleport and until you move (or it times out and you fall).  Neat!
