My solution was to run the game at half the resolution of my desktop (1920x1080 instead of 3840x2160). It cramped the UI a bit (I suppose I could scale it back down if it really becomes a problem) and it makes tabbing out to look at other stuff very difficult, but it made MOST of the text legible. I still struggle to read text on glowie progress bars, though. The smaller the resolution, the bigger the UI font will be; as far as I know that's the only solution currently available. 1

It seems to be the best solution at this point. If someone posts a reply quoting me and I don't reply, they may be on ignore. (It seems I'm involved with so much at this point that I may not be able to easily retrieve access to all the notifications) Some players know that I have them on ignore and are likely to make posts knowing that is the case. But the fact that I have them on ignore won't stop some of them from bullying and harassing people, because some of them love to do it. There is a group that have banded together to target forum posters they don't like. They think that this behavior is acceptable. Ignore (in the forums) and /ignore (in-game) are tools to improve your gaming experience. Don't feel bad about using them.
Psyonico Posted September 16 Posted September 16 You can change UI scale in options... somewhere, not in game so I can't give the exact location. What this team needs is more Defenders
Bacon Wrangler Posted September 17 Posted September 17 Options/Windows -> turn off automatic UI scaling -> adjust to preferences
Tactic21 Posted September 17 Author Posted September 17 while im asking... How do factions work? Can i play a hero brute for example? How does this work with starting zone? What is the economy like? a late start in a mmorpg can be a battle. What will i need currency for most? AND over the moon to see all the unlocked costume options! WOOHOO!
Uun Posted September 17 Posted September 17 7 hours ago, Tactic21 said: How do factions work? Can i play a hero brute for example? How does this work with starting zone? At character creation you select whether you want your character to be a Hero, Villain or Praetorian (Epic Archetypes can't be Praetorian). Heroes start in Atlas Park, Villains in Mercy Island and Praetorians in Nova Praetoria. Heroes and Villains can change their alignment at any time by seeing Null the Gull in Pocket D, and have the additional options of Vigilante and Rogue. Praetorians can't use Null until they reach level 20. https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Alignment 7 hours ago, Tactic21 said: What is the economy like? a late start in a mmorpg can be a battle. When creating a character, (except for Kheldians and Soldiers of Arachnos/Widows), you can pick any faction you want, (Hero/Villain/Praetorian), and start in their respective zones. You can enter Pocket D at any time and talk to Null the Gull to switch between hero and villain, (or rogue/vigilante), whenever you want. The "natural" way to switch between these is to do a series of morality missions that gradually take you down one path or the other. 8 hours ago, Tactic21 said: What is the economy like? a late start in a mmorpg can be a battle. What will i need currency for most? There are various guides on how to generate wealth in-game, but the main use for currency, (influence, infamy, or information, depending upon the faction you're with), is buying enhancements, recipes, inspirations, and other such items off the auction house. AFAIK, the devs seed some items into the AH to keep prices somewhat level.
