  1. If you bonk a few level 1 Hellions that hang out around the fence at City Hall, you can get to level 2 and get the 30-minute rocket pack, which makes getting the rest of the AP exploration badges safe, quick, and easy. Hit the START lady first for the starter damage proc IOs and an hour of double XP, then jump the fence and dispense a minute or two (literally) of justice.
  2. "Normal" for me would be something to run regular iTrials, TFs, and Ouoros that my SG does every week. Unlocking Incarnates, getting threads, stuff like that.
  3. Goal: Something to play regular iTrials, TFs, and Ouros with my SG. (also, earning threads and Incarnates) Travel powersets: Either SJ or Teleport. I suppose SJ may be easier to fit in. Thanks!
  4. I have an Elect/Rad tanker that was going to be a farmer, but now I'd like to convert him into a "normal" build. Any suggestions?
  5. I'm starting a Street Justice / Energy Aura scrapper that will focus on maximum recharge (and no, he is NOT "the fastest man alive.") It would also be nice to work in some KD and Stun procs as damage mitigation and for looking cool when I kick them in the face with Shin Kicker. I plan on getting him equipped with enhancement sets as I level, starting at level 30 in order to spread out the cost. Has anyone built a superspeed scrapper with these powersets or have any advice on how to do so?
  6. Holy Moly, a MM farmer? mindblown.gif Thanks for the build!
  7. I'm obviously misunderstanding something here (it is my superpower.) I crafted some orange IOs, but when I try to convert them out of set, the conversion window only lets me choose Uncommon rarity. I thought that was the whole point of getting rare IOs - turning them into better rare IOs in other sets.
  8. Inflation check for new farmers: I priced out the enhancements from the level 40 build using the level 30 sets shown. Auction House prices recorded at 12:30 am (half past midnight) on the morning of March 17, 2024. Total = 132.2 million. Prices were recorded by taking the average value after discarding outliers. Generic IOs were about 1.6 mil, all told, NO WARRANTY EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED FOR THESE VALUES. If there is interest, I'll post the individual prices.
  9. I never even considered that! I need to see a lady about some explosives tonight!
  10. So, Torchbearer tonight, right? What time do we gather and where?
  11. Thanks! You've most likely saved this character for me!
  12. @Maelwys Could you post your build for bots/kin? I'm only level 7, but have been wondering if I'd made a mistake with /kin (while fully acknowledging my habit of biting off more than I can chew at low levels)
  13. @Sovera The link in your sig for this build comes back to this thread. Do you have posted the complete build somewhere?
  14. What level do you need to be to take part in TT?
  15. Thanks! I have a level 18 StJ/SR on Indom., so I'm set.
  16. I guess I better start leveling a brute redside! Any suggestions for "mostly solo but also good on teams" build?
  17. Ah! Got it to work. Another "Smooth Brained Cowboy" error. Thanks for the tips as well. How do I find the attuned versions of sets in the AH?
  18. I can't get that to open in Mids Reborn, unfortunately. Am I supposed to copy the two = on the end? I'm at level 35 using the Weaver 5 crab build. I got PLed so the slots are mostly empty. I don't know if I should go for some global inventions or just stack generic IOs at this point, and save up for sets when I hit 50. I have 100 mil to spend.
  19. Just another quick "thank you" from someone else who's never farmed before. Just a word of caution to other new farmers: with the influx of hundreds (thousands?) of new people since the announcement of the NCsoft license, people are dumping rare salvage on the market after running TFs and farming. Prices are depressed compared to last year. Don't get discouraged! Also, don't do like me and ignore the "Turn Solo Bosses ON" in the BBQ farm. I totally overlooked it. Six times.
  20. @WuTang I've gotten caught up in alt-itis, so he's been gathering dust. I've found the snipe to be good at taking LTs out of the fight before it begins, then working on the minions the regular way.
  21. tldr: 1) Level to level 2 and take your new power. 2) Go to the P2W vendor, get jump pack and run power. NO XP BOOSTERS. 3) Run Matthew Habashy arc. (3 Merits) 4) Run Sondra Costel arc. (3 Merits) 5) Run Aaron Thiery arc. (3 Merits) 6) Get the 8 Exploration badges (5 Merits) 7) Convert your 14 Merits to 42 Enhancement Converters. 😎 Sell converters for 60,000 each: 2.5 million PROFIT! If you're starting a new character and don't have millions of "seed money from your main character, there's a quick and easy way to get up to 2.5 million influence without ever leaving Atlas Park. After spawning in, the first thing to do is kill enough Hellions hanging around Atlas Plaza to get to level 2 and get your second primary power. Go around the left corner of the platform to the P2W vendor (she's the second NPC.) Grab your free damage enchancements and a "run" power (ninja, beast, or Athletic.) This gives you powerful jumping abilities when sprinting. Pick up a Jet Pack or Steam Jump while you're here. We will need it later. DO NOT get any XP multipliers! We don't want to outlevel our three contacts here. Mission Contact Matthew Habashy is right past the P2W vendor. Run his quick story arc for 3 Reward Merits. He will introduce you to Sandra Costel. This is another quick story arc that earns you another 3 Merits. NOTE: YOU NEED TO TURN OFF XP WHEN YOU HIT LEVEL 6. You don't want to run the chance of outleveling the third contact: Aaron Thiery is our last contact, and the third one to award us 3 Merits. After you finish his arc, turn XP back on and load up on XP boosters at the P2W lady. Lastly, we're going to get the eight Exploration Badges here in AP. This will give us another 5 Merits, for a total of 14. This is fast and fun. The link has all the locations. I start at City Hall. Grab the two inside, the one on top of City Hall, and the one on the Atlas globe. Head to the Base portal behind City Hall, where there's another badge in front of an NPC. That's five already. Then south to the Vanguard HQ, where there's a badge to the left upstairs. All that is left is using the Jump Pack to get the last two badges, which are on ledges on two buildings near the north wall. Now, we cash in! First, go to the NPC near Ms. Liberty after you level up. Sell all the enhancements you've looted and all the white Salvage pieces. This gives us enough inf to pay auction seller's fees. We go to Wentworth's and use the Merit ATM to the right as you enter, You want to exchange your 14 Merits for 42 Enhancement Converters. (They look like this: Enhancement Converter.) These sell from 60,000 to 65,000 each. Sometimes up to 70,000. 42 x 60,000 is 2.5 million, minus seller's fees. Now you're a millionaire, and you've never left the starter zone! If you've been lucky enough to loot orange salvage, this is another few million in your pocket.
  22. I'm starting a new Elect/Elect blaster, and wanted to see which powers I should take and which to avoid? I have no problem with smacking something that gets too close in the face, but would rather shoot them before they get that close.
