MsSmart Posted Friday at 10:10 PM Posted Friday at 10:10 PM You looking at changing the power pool itself or having a new power set? I would be excited with a new power set that would mimic what "The Flash Could Do", below are some samples: Run : movement wise super speed with the ability to run over walls (The Flash Could) Phase Out (as the Flash could to go through walls, too bad the game could not support this) but at least as a way to avoid damage would be ok Vibrating Fist - Extreme Damage Punch (Flash used it, I think once, since The Flash was not blood thirsty) Invisibility - I think the way it is done in game is ok Speed Defense - The Flash's reflexes were so incredible he could dodge lasers!, would think a very high defense like 10% against all attack types and positions as a base would make sense Power Recharge: All Powers should have very very short and fast graphics with minimal rooting, you could see the Flash walloping on a bunch of baddies practically at the same time, if possible make the attack rooting durations reduced to a fourth if possible. Regeneration of Hit points: The Flash has insane regeneration of hit points Regeneration of Endurance: The Flash can recover fatigue, super quick, well he is the Flash after all, ha ha ha Accuracy Bonus: The Flash is so fast and his victims so slow, how could he miss? Would feel that 15% accuracy bonus would be fine Only some ideas...

Which makes running up walls as a specific power equally not possible. That said, you can sort of run up walls using jump. (Not Super Jump, just any jump). It works on large walls like the War Walls, and you have to hit it at the right angle, but it does work as the flight mechanic runs into processing issues. (Edit: The walls also have to be smooth, like the War Walls, because obstructions to your movement stops it.) 51 minutes ago, MsSmart said: Phase Out (as the Flash could to go through walls, too bad the game could not support this) but at least as a way to avoid damage would be ok That is in the Concealment pool if you want it right now. 51 minutes ago, MsSmart said: Speed Defense - The Flash's reflexes were so incredible he could dodge lasers!, would think a very high defense like 10% against all attack types and positions as a base would make sense We can currently, in game, dodge lasers. My characters dodge the lasers from the Praetorian Clockwork, Family Button Man Beamers, and more. (Edit again: I also don't see the devs giving us a 10% defense against literally everything that is not an autohit power as pool power. Not unless it had a super long, cannot be enhanced recharge.) Perhaps a Super Speed set for offense and defense?

Some of the best times involved things being out of wack. Yeah the aggro limits was the point. Do you think Captain Fabulous is still upset that he can't play the game that way anymore? Usually in service to some overarching view of balance. The people that left over ED probably had other complaints and ED was the straw that broke the camel's back. And they were probably right to do so. We have hindsight now. We also have confirmation bias. If you're still here posting, you probably favor a finely balanced, predictable, more of the same kind of game experience.

There is a lot of us that remember and experienced it a lot. Here is a couple of shots mid-aggro of a whole map back then. The data indicates 9/14/2004, but it could be off. tidge Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago I'm not sure why aggro limits/changes are being brought up... I was there when it was changed, and I was playing a Tanker that could ultimately do very little except herd/survive. From PoV, the aggro change(s) barely qualifies as a 'nerf': It leads to boring, and somewhat inefficient method of getting XP (see also "Saturday Night Synapse", sorry fans but this 'event' is basically re-enacting Issue 1 playstyle) Herding an entire open-world map is kinda lame for other players in that open-world zone On the second point: I remember that it was bringing mobiles to Portal Corps was the primary reason for dropping the hammer... the dull playstyle being affected was just a fringe benefit. The first two times I herded multiple Giant Monsters or every Rikti Monkey to Portal corps was interesting to me (as a proof of concept)... but it wasn't exactly fair to other players, and it isn't as if players who want to fight those things can't just go to the part of the zone that has them. 1
