Psi melee brute builds?

I scoured the forums/internet for builds with psionic melee. I need some inspiration on a psi melee build, but I have nothing to compare on. Do people just hate Psi melee that much because of the end game psi resistant enemies? If anyone could provide some builds/notes on psi melee as a brute it would be much appreciated!

I think it's one of the best types I've played.  When I get home I'll send a build to ya.

I love the animations so far! I'm just worried about the psi resistant wall once youre level 50, Does your build account for that at all?

Fun doesnt begin to describe it IMO its the new /em but a lot stronger.

I honestly havent run across any wall, I'll shownthe build off when i get home from work, but it's a fast cycling attack set with great mechanics and double build up with the Gaussian proc.

My normal attack chain is:

Concentration

Mass levitate to gain insight

Greater psi blade to consume insight

Psi blade sweep

Greater psi blade again

 

Sometimes I'll cycle psi blade sweep and psi blade in rapid sequence to build fury fast.

I ultimately decided to go with a stalker since I keep hearing very mixed things about the Psi blade sweep, and because I don't have a stalker yet. Curious to see how this works out. Ice armor is my secondary. Here is the build I plan on using if anyone wants to see it/give me some tips and such

Here is my Hero called Arclyte, yes i know you can probably do better than hover and afterburner, but i like them thematically plus it gives me slots to put global recharge.

For what is worth, this is my Psi/Fire Brute. Since ppl mentioned that the few mobs that were resistant to psi dmg were highly resistant, fire brought a different type of dmg to the mix that I also complemented with Soul Mastery for a third dmg type.

I'm torn between trying a Psi/Bio and a Psi/Fire (if the latter, for precisely the reason detailed by @Nightmarer, to add in another damage type), and the only reasonable approach may be to make both.  😀

I have a Psi/Eletric Brute. He is awesome. Can tank most anything. AoE heaven. Lightning field with a stun proc. a boat load of recharge but not permahasten(no need). pretty high defense in the high 20% low 30%. Good regen a self heal and self endurance boost. It's great. I choose mu for my patron to give me lightning ball for another AoE.

 

Normally on an SF/TF i can run around on my own and level groups by myself. He is probably not the fastest at clearing but he can do pretty much anything.

He has soloed AVs that's the only area that psi might lag. It's doable but it can be a slow fight. I also slotted overwhelming force KB/KD into mass levitation. Awesome hit everyone and toss them into the air but not screw up your teammates AoE attacks or your own. I have yet to figure out mids on my mac( yes I know there is a thread dedicated to it.) so i can't post my build. But that's also great cause I just played and built is as I went and it's a beast. Not gonna win a record for taking down a pylon but I can do it(20 minutes latter lol).
