  1. Yeah. I've seen a handful over the years mention that they do it this way, but the mapping must be hell.
  2. I don't think the game really works that way as the files are stored on the servers (unlike our UI settings files/binds) and currently the bases don't work right anyway, so you might break your new base if they tried.
  3. I think they way it was before worked just fine/the best TBH. The PvP/PvE doesn't really work for this game though as individual zones are that way.
  4. I can think of like two things and they're Both PvP zone related (Badge Hunting of course). So similarly to what someone explained doing earlier here, there was a small group that would TP you as you zoned into a crate (they MUST have been using binds for it as it was near instant) where you would then get pummeled. First time, ok that's just for being in PvP zone, fine. 2nd time ok, this is annoying. 3rd time, we had a discussion about "can you just Please let me get the badge and go?" 2nd one was a bit more juvenile, but nearly like the above. Basically, someone who back then we ALL knew was a jerk overall decided to follow me through the whole zone and repeatedly KO me as I hunted the badges. Unlike the above where they decided to play nice, THIS person wouldn't stop and was even being a jerk otherwise. So getting tired of it I gathered a group of PinnBadges peeps from the chan and we mobbed KO'd the crap out of him (don't think he honestly cared) until he left the zone (I think). Sure, I know the other side of it, but the badges are there, Everyone knows about it, but some people just have to be jerks about it.
  5. Heh, that was sooooo much fun though! :p
  6. The status' weren't, but the current servers aren't quite at the point where we're ready for Home servers to be chosen TBH. I'd just enjoy your playtime for now and wait until they've got a solid plan on what servers will even be permenant* before choosing a home.
  7. Eh, the cue just means that word is getting around and the community is still willing/eager to play! Better yet is we're getting first time players as well and this isn't even out of a Beta type format.
  8. I forget if this was an SG or a thread, but here's a thread. :p I'll have to go recheck my OG list, but I'm pretty sure I filled up both of my accounts with alts by Sunset. Where's the rest of my fellow Altaholics?
  9. Same folder, but where your game files are (where you installed Tequila).
  10. I don't remember you being able to have cross-server content before either. As for the cloning of content, I did that with my main toons as I have some odd thing about them being just for me online. It's worked so far as I can tell based on random google searching. Not a major thing I know, but the only exception so far is on WoW, but that could be someone who's managed to take over my old account.
  11. Do you have any sort of custom gaming KB layout active?
  12. We had like what, a dozen servers back then? It'll get there and likely scale with the community.
  13. Better to limp along on the path to recovery than to have died for good 7 years ago.
  14. Maybe post in the AT threads?
  15. We're not at the point where Live vs Test can really be a thing yet. Especially since these servers may not even be in the same country right now, let alone the same team.
  16. Eh, I don't like bothering people for things I can find a way to do myself. That and I remember doing it before in OG where it could take a whole play session before someone bothered to respond or even be on the same server.
  17. It was used quite a lot for those with smaller, more private/casual SGs that would have thematic groups. So like with mine I'd have a 2nd account with an alt per SG whose sole existence was to allow you to add more alts from a single account into the Same SG. True, many would PL a toon to test out powers, so in our current state that wouldn't be all that fair with resources, but the SG add wouldn't take but a couple minutes.
  18. Any clue how to trigger a second instance? Back in the day you could simply click the exe a second time and login with a 2nd account, but IDK how it works with this Tequila thing.
  19. Yes, you Must get onto the server.
  20. Not likely, they seem to go down for emergency maintenance and that's not a brief time. I was in the middle of just that as I got Almost into the tutorial but the game glitched and wouldn't let me go either way. What you CAN do is save some time by making the costume while offline in Icon first and simply import it afterwards. That said, icon is missing a bit like weapons, shields, etc.
  21. I spent an hour or so working on the base as soon as I got the nerve to try recreating my SG. The server went down before I could test it in player mode.
  22. IIRC, @Global has nothing to do with Character names. Odds are the issue is simply everybody "dry-hugging" the server at once.
  23. *sniffles* This was the Only game I'd ever played (ok, so I really didn't MMO beyond GW before hand) where I would get to witness/hear of families being created and even children being born. This was one of the few places where I found an outlet for creativity. I can't draw worth crap, but I seem to be able to stor/RP pretty well. I hate things like Minecraft, but the base building was epic. It kept me from sinking in tons of money every month on stuff that would fizzle out or I'd get bored with. The only downside of it coming back is I have a ton of that kind of stuff on my consoles waiting to get finished. >.<
  24. Back then and since, there was a lot of "Only popular in the West" type games that floundered in their home market of Korea. It would have been cool if they'd just drop the home market and let the other flourish, but as the previous person stated, other things were happening and all negotiations failed at that point.
  25. So a thought occurred just now as the 2nd server came online (can't wait to see the background on that). A lot of us have deep ties to certain servers, SGs, etc as well as regions of the world (this isn't a USA only game!). Back in i2-ish I believe I chose Pinn because it was an East Coast / USA server (unless I'm wrong) and only occasionally "wandered" onto the other servers for the rather silly notion of preserving a small group of my character names (that I NEVER had trouble creating!). Going forward, we're likely to see a new world of i24/i25 and new servers. We're already sitting on two completely non-OG names, so how important will it be to try to rebuild the old on a stable new platform? Should we bother or simply stick to specific OG chat groups? Overall, this all fits great into the lore in general. :p
