  1. *pokes @GM Tock* Heh, so Apparently I already Had made an update, but it was as a comment update. I've not fully committed to rewriting them, but the basic MacOS guide has been modified. Ideally, I'd rewrite (or just write a new one) the MacOS guide into a master version, but I don't seem to be in the mood for that right now.

My mental response to my own post: >.<
  3. That one's tricky due to being on an unofficially supported OS. I'm sure someone with actual info will chime in later, but I suspect that this may be the limitation.
  4. I need to make a variant for the Settings app switch made in Ventura though since that seems to be a hickup.
  5. Short version is look in the system preferences / settings app under security as there's an approval to be made. The guides below should give a decent enough follow for the issue as it's part of the steps. Just need to make an updated section for the new Settings app.
  6. That's a decent work-around, but it sounds like some level of system protection is acting up. I know that on a fresh OS install (even without the added AV) it will always seem to want to block the initial launch of the app. The fact that there's no shortcut being created makes me wonder if the installer is still in a protected folder and it itself is being blocked by the security. I'd try dragging the installer to some random folder like C:\Temp (or wherever you have a manual temp folder / if you do), flag that file / folder as safe and Then install to something like C:\Games\Homecoming (or wherever you are putting it that's NOT in the user folder or other system protected folder). I'm kinda wondering if I started this 'default' as that's how "I" organize things and I'm pretty sure that's my personal example in the guides I made?! 😛
  7. I'd have to look, but I'm pretty sure I put visuals in my "pre-Settings App" guide. I guess I need to update for that sometime.
  8. My alt account is mostly for SG management. I literally have alts called recruiters for said SGs. Having an alt account Also makes it easier to transfer stuff n such, but I know some people use the in-game email thing.
  9. That's what happens when you breath the red dust 😛
  10. Not so much on Live, but I solo'd just about every alt I've ever made TBH. If I was feeling lazy, then maybe an MM, but more than likely I'd be found on a Dark / Dark / Dark... Scrap / Brute.
  11. So I'm uploading more stuff to the archive. One of the videos (un-narrated) covers my trick to taking over a ship (to keep / sell) and getting back to yours without worry of needing to chase it down or goto a port. Everything going up right now is from December though, so that's like $3M credits, a dozen ship upgrades, gear upgrades, etc ago. I need to redo some of them, but the ship interior tour is pretty accurate still. Edit: So I decided to move the videos to Youtube instead. I've uploaded a text file with the link.
  12. I doubt anyone's reading, but I played quite a bit of Disney Dreamlight Valley to keep me occupied during my unexpected unemployment back in April - Aug. Then shortly after that came Starfield and yeah that kinda took over most things. Sure, it's not the Best game, but it has a ship builder (you will constantly be updating your ship!), base builder, and plenty of places to roam. Yeah, it probably has maybe a dozen or so different dungeons, so there's a fair bit of repetition, but I've also come across some awesome side missions without trying. 'Acquiring' ships is now pretty straight forward for me, but it took some time to invest in perks, upgrades, etc along with coming up with a foolproof way to add the ship to my (limited) inventory until I glitch-sell it at full price. In many ways, NMS has it beat in terms of variety, but at the same time people complained about it during the first few months and look how it is now. IDK what they are off-hand, but I Have also acquired other games, but when I sit and think about what I want to play, I always end up booting the XB. 😛 Meant to put the share link for my Starfield Randomness that I wanted to post here, but can't seem to do so without eating up my image space allocation. I might need to put the videos on youtube though as my gaming Gmail account only has like 25 Gb of space. Edit: So I decided to move the videos to Youtube instead. I've uploaded a text file with the link.
  13. Just following up with this was the Best decision ever for a multi-purpose headset! I can leave it connected to both console and dynamically switch between the two. It comes with two batteries, one charges in the head unit and the other goes in the "easy to access" earpiece. If you swap it fast enough, then it'll reconnect on its own. The earpiece simply has a metal / magnetic cover that you can remove with your nail and the head unit stores it in an NES style, spring loading mechanism. Note that you Must get the Xbox version if you have the XB console as it's the only way to have a passthrough. It also has more connections than the two USB jacks. I can Also run a USB cable from the non-XB port to my PC and use it that way. All while Also being fully BT compatible!
  14. Any new launcher will likely just be an update to the current one if for no other reason than to reduce the support headache it would create otherwise. They did just push an update as well (likely files related to the new stuff) I noticed.
  15. You can download the installer wherever you want, but I would highly suggest following the example location (IE: c:\Games\CoH or something like that) so that you avoid putting it somewhere that windows is going to protect. Don't forget to set that folder as a filter in your AV as well so that it doesn't complain either.
  16. Some relevant threads Including an applet that was thrown together, but I've not really played with it (yet trust the source's rep). Yes, there are several shameless plugs. 😛
  17. Yeah, IDK the ingame coding for the character page, but I imagine that this would have to be modified in order to do what most Really want without resorting to outside apps. As for the outside apps, like you said, the file's basic format is simple enough that it shouldn't take but maybe a day's work to come up with something functional. Something simple with perhaps clickable categories (there's Only 4). IDK if I wrote something up before in the mods area or not, but I do recall at least talking about it. As for using something like excel, you could import the file using whatever the active separator is (I think it's just a comma), make your modifications, and resave it in the stripped format. The only downside is that these modern apps Love to add hidden characters, so you may Still have to clean it up. What I did one time was simply open it in the notepad (because wordpad has hidden characters!) and do my testing back then.
  18. Yeah, I was hoping we'd end up with an applet that would read the existing file and give you various sorting methods at some point, but my coding is as ancient as the game. Ironically, it's probably the same language the game was created in, but newer applets likely use something completely different now.
  19. Oh wow, TOs are gone? I used to throw those everywhere I could and then sell everything else (along with whatever Insp I didn't need) so that I could get DOs / SOs. Yeah, I wouldn't suggest messing with the prices as you'll make that avenue of gaining Inf that much harder (used to be my primary method early on for a toon).
  20. I think I did some DCO for like a day or two. That Marvel MMO that died not too long after beta (?). Some Destiny (console). And a lot of Single Player stuff at that point. I really don't do MP / MMO and especially not on PC anymore. Partially because controllers are less painful to use and most of the MP games online have kinda crap people (Read: Jerks) playing them.
  21. Yeah, I'm still having fun investigating just how much of that is part of my personality or me trying to adapt to it subconsciously. >.<
  22. If it's the game password, then click the Account link in the forum menu above
  23. They already kinda did that with the last Transformers I think. I forget which one, but they did a post credit GIJ tie-in.
