  1. All the mod tool did was take the existing Vidiot file and simply unpack it in a slightly different way so that it worked with the mod installer he made. Extra work for the same effect except it helped you keep track of what you were installing.
  2. But wait, what about the Stroyent percentage?
  3. Oh it can Certainly get worse, but this is 'generally' Server Safe level. πŸ˜› It's certainly bringing out the good old days of "losing the privilege to speak" during my college gaming guild days. ^.^
  4. That was Supposed to be the logo from their album πŸ˜•
  5. The camera thing bugs TF outta me on XB in the editors, so I figured dumping the game on my scratch SSD just for that wouldn't be so bad. I Should pull out a spare SSD though instead of filling up that drive.
  6. So now I have TWO of the big ships, but unfortunately you can only really have one ship for usage and the game does this weird thing where the next one you use becomes active or something as I've had stuff in one ship, found another, later my crew goes to ship 2, but my stuff is still in ship 1 and lots of weirdness if you don't do what they Mean for you to do and take it to port right away. Apparently your inventory gets just mass dumped into the new one as well, so that might impact your sorting if you like to 'acquire' ships alot. I'm still on the first planet though. πŸ˜› Oh and while I play on XBsX, I've decided to try and do my base / ship crafting on the PC since the cross-save thing exists.
  7. I'm not gonna waste time watching this vid you guys are chatting about as it sounds like he's either doing it for clicks or legit has issues. The game says I've played (albeit 60 of the time slogging back to sell / store stuff) about two days' worth and there's nothing super new as of yet. Keeping in mind that I have not left the first planet and done a bunch of missions. I've done a few side missions, but mostly I've been popping all over that planet looking for places to loot, NPCs to plough through, and ships to seize (without pissing off my companion). I got mad when I found out that you have to pay a TON to register these ships (in order to modify, etc) and that he first two ships I 'acquired' had resale values for just over the registration fee. >.< Then late in the day I came across a mammoth of a ship and went "MINE!!!". Unlike the first two ships I got (which only had 200 storage for large looking ships?!?), this one had nearly 3x the storage of what the starter ship gives you, a bunch of crew spots, and I'm pretty sure every kind of crafting table you'd need. Now I just need to figure out how to setup crafting so that it uses the outpost And the ship's stores when building. Still not impressed with the base / ship building controls and confusing interfaces, but I guess I'll sort it out eventually. Oh, for the crafting, keep an eye out for when it says 'variations' as that means Types, not styles (colors, etc). So what they've done is stack things in a way that reduces scrolling, but it's obvious as to what it means until you start clicking. Apparently, I've just acquired a mission for a better ship (Epic?), but I'm taking it leisurely between work and the Disney DreamSnaps stuff.
  8. Wow, I remember these kinds of threads back then. I used to run with family groups frequently somehow and it was interesting to see things evolve.
  9. I keep going into it, but then I have to remind myself that I've been going slow and I really don't think there's much you Can do with the starter ship. I couldn't even get it to add a second storage unit.
  10. Even with the supposed reduced FPS, I'm noticing so graphical peculiarities on the XBsX for sure. If you've ever seen that weird vector projection effect (a line popping out of nowhere) in old games, then that's a thing for sure. It's rather annoying AF as I'll get random lines that may or may not relate to the companion's aiming, but it's mostly when just walking around.
  11. Because it would probably use too many resources, but now that I understand the design better, I'm not as put off about it AND it explains why each planet drop is Instanced vs smooth transition like in NMS. They would have gotten less flack about it had they gone ahead and fleshed this out before release. A bunch of hate for nothing.
  12. I watched a video yesterday that explained why roaming a planet is pointless due to how the game is designed. Basically, every time you pop down to a spot on a planet (not a static designed city), the game randomly generates the terrain. Each and every time. So if you roam area A, pop up to orbit, pop down to area B that's adjacent to area A, then you're not going to find the Same terrain that you found the previous time you were at area A. So aside from popping down for resources, there's no reason to spend all that much time on a planet it seems. The upside is that you probably won't deplete that planet of resources (from the little I've played). Oh and it's REAL EASY to fill up all your starting storage, but so long as you don't go mining right away, then you'll be able to grab all the loot from the first story area (from start of game to the first settlement) all while being only 200% over encumbered. πŸ˜› TBH, you'll want to do it as you'll double the measly amount of credits you find / start with to that point. That's as far as I've played though, so IDK how maximizing credits is going to go yet, but I do see just how expensive things like ships are going to be. O.O
  13. I think I played about an hour at the most before needing to pass out. It continues the trend of "are these Really current gen GFX?", there aren't all that many Accessibility choices, very minimal actual options (compared to like the Horizon series), and I spent most my time trying to figure out what buttons did what and realized that the buttons' functions were only gradually being unlocked (unlike most games where they're active from the start). I'd like to know what idiot put the CC AFTER the bloody intro mission as well. That's normally almost the first thing you do in most games, but I must have gone half an hour before I got into it. Now granted, having played all these Bethesda games in the past, I was spending a lot of time making sure I didn't miss anything (not knowing if that even had a point beyond demoing the function of the tool), so a 'normal' person could probably get through it in like 10-15 minutes before making it to the CC. I still don't see how they couldn't unlock the consoles for 60 FPS and let us deal with the usual Bethesda "features" that we're all used to.
  14. IDK if it was the SAME site for sure, but I know there was a site that I could go check my stats on. It might have been a Titan site, but I'm pretty sure it's archived at this point as is Faces.
  15. IIRC, the same site was where we would ALSO post our builds using the build tracker and other stuff though.
  16. My instinct was to point you to this (and it may still be useful), but I'll take a look at my install real quick. There's a BIN folder in the root of the installation folder. For me, that's located in C:\Games\CoX\Homecoming. If you're not sure where you've installed it, then right click your icon for the game and look at the path.
