  1. And in exchange for that, you get a Corruptor-level Nuke (or near blaster level if a person is running a Scrapper), with half the base recharge. Electric Melee is one of those set's that's extremely "Back Loaded", like Psionic Assault. It's all balanced around that one epic Tier 9. A reasonable rework would have to nerf Lightning Rod in return, which would cause riots xD
  2. That isn't totally true, especially not when comparing brutes and tanks. I believe the real reason red is less popular is because it doesn't have as much content. It was also functionally its own game before the two sides were married. While this might have been the case for Doms and Stalkers, it certainly was not the case for Brutes. Corruptors were thought to be pretty much on-par with Defenders. Heck I remember Hero tanks doomsaying about Brutes going over to the blueside. "If Brutes ever came over to Heroes no one would play/invite Tankers". There was a real Brutephobia going around xD Aside form that. I think Hero is more popular due to one simple fact. Hero is more populated. Many people love being on the "most popular" side which leads into a never ending spiral of them becoming more and more popular. Much like how the most populous servers tend to get most of the new population as well. Also Villain content, while varied and interesting, pitted you against some annoying mobs a lot. Praetoria was even worse in that regard. If there's one thing I've learned about the masses in this game, it's that they want to roflstomp Council and Freaks. Not pull their hair out fighting Longbow etc xD As a side note. "The Bad guys" are almost aways less popular in MMOs. The Horde in WoW was generally outnumbered by at least 2 to 1. Same with Chaos in Warhammer:AoR.
  3. If memory serves correct, the chance to proc is calculated when you first cast the power, and then once every 10 seconds thereafter. Same with PBAO self-toggles like Blazing Aura. You can read more on the fine art of how procs work on the wiki! https://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Invention_Origin_Enhancements#Procs
  4. The cost is less Influence from kills. 50% + less influence after 40 is a pretty big deal, as you can routinely pull in several hundred thousand per mission. Even more if you're on a farm team etc (which most people who use these buffs will be, lets be honest) I have a small suggestion, in that you might want to clarify they don't work for level 50's in the in-game description. People who don't keep up with the forums/patch notes might think its a bug and result in many tickets.
  5. That's due to how the i25 AH system works. If someone puts up a level 20 Set IO/Recipe, it is listed as each level possible for that IO. Then the buyer can pick-and-choose which level they want instead of being restricted to the level that's actually posted. Thats why each level entry under a specific recipe shares the same exact bids/sellers/history etc. IE. If I put a level 25 LotG:R for sale, and someone bids on a level 50 LotG:R they will then get my recipe but it will upscale to level 50 instead of being level 25. Salvage works in a similar fashion. If you toss a Boresight on and someone wants a Luck Charm, they can buy your Boresight and it will convert. Essentially pooling all salvage based on rarity.
  6. Take this with a grain of salt, as I am not a Lawyer and this is all just info I pulled from reddit. Apparently there's a specific Canadian province that has some really funky internet privacy laws that pretty much makes it a safe haven for all things private-server related. Something about the parent company having to prove they handled personal data 'up to spec' before they can do anything. Which.. given the potential user data leak; is going to be a catastrophe for NCSoft from the word "Go" Sadly I cannot find the 'source' (but I read it on multiple occasions, and even once about Epic Games an account hacking incident) nor do I remember the specific province, but maybe this can serve to give you a little peace of mind. Homecoming seems to know what they're doing. There's got to be a reason they chose Canada, and that specific host etc. Also, as a US user I have not experienced any detrimental ping outside of rubber banding once in awhile. Unless the servers were about to croak. So I suspect Ping for the EU users should be fine.
  7. Yeesh! donations capped quick! I wasn't fast enough to give you my money xD Next month then!
  8. While true, it also takes a lot of busy work to maintain that status quo. You're constantly shifting forms, trying to keep your Double Mire and Eclipse going. Spamming your pets when possible etc. A lot of people just prefer the path of less resistance. an Elec/Shield brute or Scrapper just runs up, uses a few powers and calls it a day. Non-Khelds are also much clearer in what you need to build for. So I just chalk it up to ease of use. Warshades have a very high ceiling, but it takes a lot of effort. However, I am totally find with that, in fact I like it! I find all the form shifting and buff managing quite enjoyable, but I'm a guy who likes micro.
  9. Yea check in your enhancement window and hover over a power. You should notice some inflated enhancement values depending on your Alpha. That's where they show up. In your specific situation, End Mod will only effect stamina-like powers and End Recovery powers. It is not a flat +End Recovery buff. So your Stamina will go to like +120% End Mod instead of the normal ED values of 90ish, assuming 3x slots.
  10. I solo-queued a few hours ago for DFB and it worked just fine. Maybe it depends on the server load? Put me into a party in about 10 minutes and loaded us all into the map.
  11. This is simply amazing. You folks are accomplishing more than I ever dreamed possible! I really wish there was a I could support you, but I understand why you can't take donations.
  12. I agree, this is kind of a "double edged sword" tweak. It's fantastic not to have to worry about your anchor dying. It's also annoying to have to de-toggle after each group. Especially on fast paced teams.. However I imagine you'd get used to it after a few hours and it would become second nature. So overall it's probably a net-gain. But ya, an option under Power Customization (like the 'No Redraw' option) would be nice if possible.
  13. The problem is this is not always 100% true. Rewards over time are more important than rewards per mob. I can't tell you how many times I've been in a team steam rolling +2/3 mobs for fantastic XP/minute. Then someone suggests we bring it up to +4 for Maximum XPage!!. The end results? We no longer steam roll. Each group takes 5 minutes to defeat. This is especially true of Freaks and their boss tanks. The XP per mob does not make up for the difference in kill speed. This happens a lot if the leader is the highest level. Suddenly the rest of the group is fighting +5 level mobs and the purple-patch rears its ugly head. Also kill speed leads to more drop potential. As (afaik) level difference does not increase recipe nor salvage drop rate. When this happens I tend to politely back out of the team after the mission as fighting the same group for 5 minutes is not my idea of fun.
  14. Before people grab their torches and pitchforks. I would like to emphasis the last part of the announcement. "...but we need to discourage overuse for the moment." So it does sound like stability is the leading concern for this change. Of course people are free to believe what they want.
  15. Agreed. i25 really seems to adjust things to compensate for the smaller player base. allowing us to IO our toons even without tens of thousands of players using Wentworths etc. The Merit costs here seem much more reasonable. On live I just opted to farm INF and buy the recipes outright from WWs. Seemed like the more expedient way to do things. Not to mention we can now convert Inf directly into merit points. Something I don't recall on live. Which will put a soft-cap price on the WW price for most recipe/IOs.
  16. Thank you for all your hard work!
