  1. If you have endurance issues end game you can slot Ageless very easily. Endurance is easy to cover end game with a build/temps/incarnate etc. A 50 will have the funds/experience. also Blasters get +recovery and they don't run many toggles. Did they actually need it? I am not a Blaster player but do they need to slot end reductions at low level when they get the +recovery power? Some sets have it much easier like Rad Armor for example that has a heal/end recovery/damage all in one AoE and they also get +recovery. Others sets consume more and recover less and need more help to work efficiently. Rad armor is a very strong set. There are certainly numerous ways to mitigate endurance at low levels but does a newbie know these and can they afford it. without knowing also how to make influence? Not everyone can or wants to PL an alt. Players with high levels toons can easily sort a low level alts endurance with Inf/IO's/Temps and so on. Buffs may not be the answer but a permanent thread covering endurance management would be really helpful to new players if one does not already exist. Just speaking generally Zect and not directing entirely to you.
  2. It is up to you. Sorcery for resistance buff, teleportation for fold space but you have AC, leadership for party/self buffs, experimentation for adrenal boost all have potential. Speed, fighting, leaping tend to be common choices. If you want aid self then i would say do it. I am just saying you may not need it much if at all. only way to find out is try it for yourself first. We have access to a lot of respecs.
  3. Entirely up to you, but i think you will find you will not be using it at all. The damage reduction from SD and regen are usually more than enough to withstand all but the hardest content. Those slots/power choices may serve you better eleswhere. That is my feedback to you but the choice is yours. Either way have fun 🙂 You could always roll one up on the test server and take it into ITF for example. It could help you decide if you need Aid self or not.
  4. It should be called Instant Death and mostly useless T9 lol.
  5. Grant Cover does give you DDR. You will not need Aid self (you can always pop an insp). SD is very tough without it, especially if it is not the hardest content. For the hardest content you will need a team and healer anyway. Looking up @Infinitum builds will set you on the right track. Tweak it to your own preference.
  6. Sounds like it could be kinetics or Forcefield. Dual pistols if Def/Corr or even Thugs mastermind will get pistols. Or DP/Energy aura Sentinel. Or Peacebringer maybe.
  7. Isn't Biotics to do with plants, animals etc?.
  8. I know. 👍
  9. Yes you are probably right but i was only thinking of a very small buff as i said. It is probably me also being used to steam rolling through groups lol. I don't know whether there is a thread to help new players with Slotting for endurance etc with the ideas that are in this thread? but there should be. But i like your point of building to cosmic power, that does make sense and i like it. Thx.
  10. I think if you look at previous posts i did say that they they do ask for help.... quite often. I was just trying to help/simplify it for them a little. I think if you read further i toyed with a few ideas here. There are always ways to improve. I also never said anything about "Eliminating" any kind of management. Once again they are your own words, you should get out of that mindset. My idea was much less grand lol. My small suggestion may not agree with people but this does not need to escalate into some big argument as threads usually do. If you don't like it say why, move on and let the thread die.
  11. No, i never said that. They seem to be your own words entirely. I am sure a new player will ask for help and players will keep explaining it to them. I am sure they will want to scan the forums for help also as we sometimes see. Maybe they just want to play the game though. Anybody would think i was "suggesting" a major overhaul to the game from peoples reactions lol. I just wonder why we have DO's now. Just a thought.
  12. Experienced players may know that. Will a level 1 newbie want to or even think of doing that? Maybe the stamina/toggle buff was a bad idea lol but it may open other suggestions. Like why do need DO's now? why not just have SO's only and simplify it for new players and reduce the cost of them a little more at lower levels. A lot of ideas suggested here that will work but will not be known to new players., but as others have said they will learn the hard way. By 50 the endurance management becomes a bad dream 😛
  13. Does a level 1 have 24k inf?
  14. Yes i email some influence to myself so i can afford the SO's. I am fortunate to have many 50's. I don't know why they just don't get rid of DO's to simplify it and reduce the cost of SO' for newbies as i know i would struggle to afford them and upgrade them just doing missions/dfb without funding myself. There are ways to make money but newbies probably won't know how and would rather just smash faces :P. I don't tend to slot until in the teens i just DFB or power level myself to the teens, so have enough slots for some end/acc/damage, but i have 50's and can do that. Early levels go very fast. The suggestion above was more for new players to the game. I thought it could make early levels a little easier for them as i am sure they will been keen to be testing out all their new powers and probably can not afford to slot many SO's. Many times i see someone asking for some funds in chat because they can not afford to upgrade their SO's. Been there myself when i hadn't got around to muling some funds over. It was only a very small buff suggestion, not to make it too easy for them but a little more manageable. Perhaps the answer is to get rid of DO's and reduce SO costs and upgrades to make it easier for new players to slot and maintain them. At least they will have easier access to the better enhancements for endurance reasons etc. Anyone with a 50 is not gonna have a problem at all slotting their characters.
  15. Bio/SS is another option.
  16. Yes that is what i was trying to say. That the powers come earlier now but enhancements don't. Plus the changes to attack types may open characters up to more endurance debuff effects if toggles aren't run. It was only an idea that i was trying to get across, you do not need to oppose me. You either agree with all ,some or none of my idea. I don't mind it is just a discussion. I had good intentions.
  17. No i had not picked that up yet as it is nice to have but no rush and as you say just eats endurance more which at low levels is already awkward with some powers. Yes end reductions were the first thing i slotted into every power that costs endurance. No matter how many i slot 2 small mobs will need me to rest. Not my playstyle really and maybe that is the problem. Years and years of seeing posts struggling with endurance and the recent changes made me think that maybe it is time for a small buff in that department. I will awkwardly mule sets over as usual. It was just a small suggestion/idea.
  18. The obvious way to manage endurance issue are set bonuses. The game is not balanced off IO sets apparently...it obviously is quite a bit. Some powers may need an adjustment to endurance cost but that is up to the developers. There are a small few against a small buff but i have heard many complaining over the years and they have been advised to use set bonuses. They are easy enough to acquire i guess. With the recent changes i though it may be worthwhile. Ill leave the thread, i had my 2c. Peace guys!
  19. I hear what you guys are saying but i recently created a new toon with 2 PBAoE aura's. I had not got around to passing over any Io's but i slotted everything with double end reductions and just thought i would give it a try. I ran out of endurance so fast it was a joke. I would need to rest constantly and could not even finish some fights because endurance dropped. I fully slotted stamina etc. So i thought a 10% or so increase to stamina would not go amiss or a slight reduction in certain toggles. No biggie. But i guess i will just carry on muling my IO sets over lol. I have played this game since start and know how to slot and manage end use. Some sets combo's are OTT on end usage but they should still be able to play them. @biostem i meant against each type of mob. It's ok to say switch some toggles of but if you do not know what damage types you are facing it could go badly for a new player. Some toggles bring mez protection also and need to be on really. Playing AT's with little to no toggles and +recovery is not the same as playing a Brute for example trying to also do damage and run some toggles with no extra +recovery to try to stay alive in melee range. I am just trying to think of a new player that often appears on the forums with Endurance woes and guided to the IO system. Plus the new changes may warrant a small increase. At 50 all endurance problems are solved quite easily, so learning end management whilst leveling may be a little helpful but mostly a hindrance. Just my opinion playing this game over 15 years.
  20. So new players are expected to know what toggles to run? It isn't a problem for me i will just mule set IO's over but should we have to, to have a more enjoyable leveling process? Turning off anti mez protection is not good advice. Blasters at the back etc may get away with it but they get bonus recovery anyway. Constant toggle managing does not sound fun to me and could be a little easier with a small buff. It sounds slow and tedious in a fast paced game. So basically to all new players the advice is don't use those cool new powers you just gained or learn when to use them? or to stand doing nothing being OP or stop using your power choices to have great staying power? A small buff to stamina or a small toggle reduction may be a nicer option.
  21. Not every AT is equal though. Blasters for example get added recovery and use little toggles. A Tanker trying to tank for the group whilst running toggles and trying to attack rather than just taunt spamming can run out very quickly without IO bonuses. Scrappers are expected to attack and run toggles. Support AT's can help but are not always around. I didn't suggest that that it should never run out but that it may need a slight buff due to reasons above with recent changes.
  22. My suggestion would be Electric Armor/Kinetic melee. I think they both need a small buff of some sort.
  23. For pure tanking MA/Granite would be pretty tough. Second build could be non granite stone armor.
  24. Yes i see your point but it was only meant for the toggle powers only. So maybe not such a big deal but yes it could be an issue like you say.
  25. Super Reflexes has proven to be very tough for Tankers. Yes they get the ATO bonus to resists and better health but a Brute may do well with SR also as they have higher health than the other non Tanker AT's, allowing the scaling resists to work a little more.
