  1. Personally i am fine with my Bio or my 3k health Stone Brute being a little less dps than a Scrapper because i have more survival. And in a team my survival can sky rocket whilst still doing awesome dps.
  2. Brutes are in the middle. I do not see an easy way of improving them with out stepping on Tanker or Scrapper toes. If they had more damage they would be too close to Scrapper damage with much better survival. If they had better survival then they would be too close to Tankers with better damage. Maybe give them 2 stance choices. A dps stance where the Brute effectively becomes a Scrapper with a tiny bit less damage. Losing +health etc to scrapper levels. A Tanker stance giving near Tanker mitigation/health but loss of damage. Not quite as good as either of those AT but more flexible in it's choices. No stance would be what we have now. A decent ATO proc for Brutes could really help. Half +damage of some sort and half +mitigation. Or let it give +max Fury.
  3. 5x 5% is max. Anymore after that won't work 5x is max you can stack a same percentage. Luck of the gambler defence set +Global recharge will help you if you slot them. You can only stack 5 though. If you click View Active Sets in mids builder it will show any in red that have gone over cap.
  4. You have hit the 5% recharge cap and have some wasted sets.
  5. Until there are some very hard targets. A brute will usually pull ahead then in my experience. Tankers can afford to proc more than Brutes due to better mitigations. If a Brute procced the same it would be ahead but be squishier. I think a lot of Brutes build to be Tankier where Tankers build for damage more. Perhaps procs are the problem? Maybe there is confusion as to what role a Brute is?? I build mine as a damage dealer. A bit tougher than a Scrapper with a little less damage, but team buffs work very well on a Brute.
  6. That test is just as much about player skill. The mobs are not particularly tough. Easy for a Tanker and Brute but a Brute will take out a harder target easier. Most content is easy. Procs, build, skill etc will be a big factor also. I think you are putting too much worth in this test. Do you put such worth in the pylon test also? You do seem to see the worst in posts where they don't exist. I had to pull you up on a post before because you attacked me thinking it was directed at you and it wasn't even close lol. If you read something and dislike it, rather than attacking maybe just think you could be misinterpreting it or the writer is not conveying the message as well as they could. From a previous thread.... Me It was just a general comment about Tankers being OP and not directed at you lol. We do not need to be enemies and we do not need to agree all the time. That is fine 🙂
  7. Not censor you, you don't deserve that but this thread is a lost cause. Yet again seeing more into than there is.
  8. I think at this point you knew there was only one way this was going. You misinterpreted my post completely. No matter what i say you will believe the same. But i am telling you now YOU ARE WRONG! sincerely. You have a serious chip on your shoulder. Don't always look for the worst it could just be a simple misunderstanding. Yet you know best ll. My only crime was a may have skipped a corner here and there. I have asked for this thread to be closed as it serves no pupose other than to whine. Nothing constructive about it. If you are failing at a task/mission then it is usually down to some reasons like difficulty setting, build, team etc etc. try mixing some things up rather than pointing the finger. Better still when you have a bad experience in game don't open a thread in the forums to whine about it, then bitch at people trying to offer some advice.
  9. That is because you don't read all posts and cherry pick what you want. You jumped in part way through and cherry picked loI I am now. Whatever i say you guys want to believe it another way. Carry on i don't really care but i tell you now it was not my intention, i actually was trying to give alternatives as to why. You are the ones failing. I am doing fine thanks. I will leave you guys to work it out. 🙂
  10. Obviously some of you are struggling with your Brute then. Maybe read a few forum posts and educate yourselves a little more.
  11. Yes and you misread it also. Near Tanker survival with team buffs which i did mention. You can not solo what you can not survive. Tankers are built to survive. A Brute could be a dps or Tank. Build, powersets, team etc can all cover weakness. Brutes are between Scrappers and Tankers. I have a few of each and know the difference.
  12. Yes i actually am. You are seeing way more into that post and need to take a chill pill. I actually mentioned aggro caps and team composition, yetyou had to pick out build and see it as git gud lol.
  13. It is a shame you read that as a Git Gud post, it was not the intention at all. But build/team composition are certainly factors to consider. Brutes were always good. Near Tanker survival with much better damage. Yes Tankers were buffed but now they are better and more fun, so that's a win in my eyes. Brutes did not need a buff. They do need a better AT proc though. Melee damage dealers not surviving when Tankers can is probably normal. Brutes build fury easier than they ever have. If a Brute tanks it gets fury and if it hits mobs it gets fury. I have never had trouble building fury. If you team and get some buffs then that Brute is sitting at Tanker level mitigation with superior damage. If you are trying to solo then i can see your point, but soloing requires being able to stay alive, which Tankers excel at. Pick that dummy up!
  14. Brutes are tougher than Scrappers and do more damage than Tankers,.... what is the problem. A tanker being able to survive better in tougher content is normal lol. The damage the buffed mobs are putting out is possibly overwhelming Brutes/Scrappers with their lower mitigations and health but that could be a build/power creep problem or it could be the aggro caps. But those 2 ATs do more damage than Tankers by quite a bit. Brutes have the same resist caps as Tankers, it is just harder to achieve caps for them, but that is why we have team buffers and temp powers. If you can not handle harder content then maybe you need a better build, better team composition or do lower content. Try looking into that first.
  15. Invuln/Staff could be very tanky also. Invuln provides some +to hit for staff. Staff gives +resists and melee defence in guarded spin. Just build for more ranged defence and less melee defence.
  16. O Obviously this guy didn't have Combat jumping turned on and coudn't avoid that toxic mess. He should have switched it on.
  17. You could make them for free on the test server and let the game just random slot them. Then you can decide which you prefer. SS is good but a lot of players don't like the crash, you will have to decide on that. Bio armor works well with a secondary that has some good CC though, like knockdowns etc. Bio also likes +recharge, so being able to slot a Force feedback proc is nice. SS and Claws have that, staff also.

Just your small opinion and not necessarily reality.

So you are talking about survival again. A Tanker will win. Tankers can handle tougher content earlier by design. You do seem to be struggling with that even though it has been mentioned a few times. The Brute will get there but It will clear faster., especially if there are some hard targets. It proves nothing.

I will say this....Tabkers are much more played and more popular than they were. So based on that the develipers got it right. It is just a shame that you can not see beyond the maths.

That is a support AT. They bring much to the team already. But i am not against them getting a small dps buff. Tankers fight mobs. Defenders buff/heal/debuff for teams whilst doing as much dps as they can. No you can't, You will have more chance of Bob Dylan turning up for afternoon tea than getting perfect balance. 😛

There is more to enjoyable gameplay than mathematics and perfect balance will never be achieved. Any game in history could probably tell you that

What i see is a few disgruntled players banging on about how broken they are and a lot of players saying how awesome they are and how much fun they are.

Perhaps it will amount to nothing and be a waste of time also. Perhaps everything it just fine.
