  1. Or create a power similar to Fire Aura's Burn but with a Dark animation. They could just leave Shadow maul as it is on live but turn Dark Consumption into a 1 minute cooldown big AoE similar to Ground Zero but gives 30-50%ish endurance instead of a heal to everyone around. I am sure lots of people can come up with some cool and interesting ideas. This version of ToF is just unimaginative and quite underwhelming.
  2. I would give FA fear protection. There is not a lot fire fears except a large amount of water lol.
  3. Devastating blow is more comparable with Total Focus. ET is an extra follow up attack that does even more damage than TF or DB and is 2.5 times faster to animate and half the recharge time. Energy melee has 2 extremely high damaging attacks compared to Rad Melee's one. So if Rad melee had full crit Devastating Blow and then Radiation Siphon with a 1 second cast time and double damage as a follow up with full crit that would be fine? 25 second pylon times here we come 😛
  4. No. PC states it is not affected by the increased Arc but Shadow maul does not state that at all. Whether intended or error. SM does seem to hit targets on the far right or left of the hero now and then but not conclusive. I have not seen it hit more than 10 targets on the test servers.   5. Yes I always thought it was for Tankers. I presumed because of the lack of AoE in the set. It is much nicer to use though lol. I hope it stays if it is true as having 2 powers in Dark Melee that struggle to hit target cap, with Touch of Fear with its 6ft radius being the other, would not be good.

  7. I would like to say that removing Rage entirely was only suggested by 1 player. Other powers were mentioned more than once like Pain domination but did not make it to this list. Rage doesn't need removing, just adjusting in my opinion. Plenty of suggestions have been made in other threads.
  8. Yes shadowmaul seems to allow the Tankers extra arc. It is quite noticeable when you use how wider it hits. I don't know whether it was overlooked or was allowed to be like this though. Wider and shorter seems to work better though. Perhaps it should be allowed as the skill has a target cap anyway, it just makes it a little easier to hit the cap. 10 can be hit with PC with no buff but not easily, takes a little maneuvering. Sometimes it will hit only 4 or 5 and that is being completely surrounded by mobs. But I have managed 12 with the buff up but not 16 as of yet. So yes 10 is doable, just not on average.
  9. It is hard to hit the target cap with power crash, but it is with most cones. I can do about 8 on a Tanker if i line them up well without the EF buff and about 12 with the EF buff. I think the target cap is achievable, just not very easily. Compared to Dark Melee's Shadow Maul i found SM easier to hit more targets. PC has longer range but SM has a wider arc on a Tanker, i guess the wider arc works better but it would depend on how the mobs are stacked. But PC isn't that bad really. Seems a little clunky with setting up the EF buff though so i probably just won't bother using EF with it unless i am dead set on clearing a lot of trash. Comparing to Dark melee for example the AoE is near on par but the single target damage of EM is way above DM. For me Energy focus will be spent on ET only with it's fast recharge. The rest doesn't really interest me.
  10. I think ToF with an 8ft radius and a 12-20 second cooldown with appropriate damage may please people more. Could be worth a test at least.

I know what you are saying but usually i just use them to fill any gaps like AoE or more single target etc. I just think it is a weird idea to want to dismiss a skill to a power set once epics are opened up, considering the time it takes to hit 35 nowadays. I can't imagine Claws Spin being replaced by epics for example.
  12. I would have liked to have seen something more interesting than this ToF. It is a spammy low radius AoE, it is pretty boring really. I don't understand why it is mentioned as a filler until epic pools...surely the epic pools should be the fillers. Dark obliteration is a far better AoE. Can we get some of the thinking that created Energy Melee please. ToF, Soul drain and Dark consumption, all need looking at as an AoE. Sorry to be negative but i just don't like the spammy low radius nature of it. Lets not have to redo this again in a few months time.
  13. Good for you. I was joking with you somewhat though. I just found it funny you have such a big claim to kill faster than anyone on the TF. I would like to see that damage as i reckon i have some that may give you a run for your money.

  15. No it gained AoE but the to hit debuff stayed single target. If it changed to AoE it should do AoE to hit debuff also. In a way it DID lose AoE to hit debuff.
  16. Honestly that is just nit picking. Waste of a post. I think most people understood what i meant, obviously not you though. To hit debuffs are part of the set just like stuns and kds for other sets etc. The power always had a to hit debuff but it has changed to AoE and the AoE component should have the to hit debuff. Shadow maul is not what it is on live though is it? why because of ToF. So it is not everything it is on live and more is it? lol Energy melee gets better single target damage and has increased targets on a cone and still has a PBaoE. Dark is no where near as good with a very weak melee TAoE that actually nerfs SM to get.

  19. I would say it works well with any set. Invuln does have a heal, regen can cover it also and the rebirth incarnate. But in particualr it could work well with SR. The lower SR health goes down the higher its mitigation goes up, it could actually work quite well lol. Some sets have extra stun in them like Dark Armour and Stalker Energy Aura which could work well also. Stun procs in powers like lightning field may work well, also anything that taunts and quite a few attacks take stun procs. How well they will work though i don't know i have not tested them. But i think any set is viable. Just pick the one you like.
  20. Its a shame you didn't take the opportunity to try something different with Touch of Fear in dark Melee for us to test. This version of ToF is not good. The more i play it the less i like it. The radius, the damage, the cooldown, adding the AoE but not the to hit debuff to the AoE is all bad (there you go). The power is mediocre for leveling, i preferred the old Shadow Maul and at higher levels i think ToF will just be respecced out. Could you give us a slightly different version with more cooldown and higher damage and a larger radius or something else other than this to test? Energy Melee definitely got the main focus and DM just an after thought with a boring mediocre fix that will probably need another fix in the future.

    I would probably swap the touch of death set with a Hecatomb set and a Winters gift slow resistance into fly. Being slowed isn't fun and the KB of invuln is pretty good especially with good defence. 3 set SAvalanche and 3 set Eradication into Whirling hands. You could always drop afterburner to pick up taunt if you wished. Or take super jump, taunt and maneuvers instead of fly, hover and afterburner. Either way it will be a very strong tanker.
  23. Yes I think if they are adding AoE to sets that have good single target then Staff should get it's single target looked at also as it is pretty bad. Pain Dominations needs some work. Anguishing cry needs to be a targeted AoE rather than putting a healer into the danger zone. I put willpower here because once those defences are stripped which is very easy with its low DDR it is just a low resist set with very good regen that only gets better with more mobs. The regen is easily overwhelmed as it doesn't have any real emergency skills to back it up. The T9 should be better than what it is maybe. Increasing the DDR a little will at least slow the cascade failure some.

  25. Nothing different to some other sets. Its not like you will be missing an attack, it just won't have the secondary effects. It's not like Em doesn't have stuns already. Power crash will be a spender until ET. I am not saying remove it, i am saying i wouldn't miss it if it went. Keep it for me, it is just a bonus. I am just trying to suggest possible ways to make the set slightly less combo orientated for those who don't like combo's. A small compromise.
