  2. Yes i saw that πŸ™‚. Definitely a struggle with Dps on a Tanker without Incarnate. I have been working on a WM/Rad Scrapper though. Whether it can survive with 75% resist though i am not sure. The dps should be there and would take some skilful play i reckon πŸ™‚ I just don't know if i have patience... or the skill lol I would post the build but needs a little work still and i am drinking black Gin at the moment πŸ˜›

  4. This may work well for you. It doesn't have Siphon as its not the best Dpa. Dark Consumption could be switched with Tactics, Taunt or something as you may not actually need it. You could also slot 5 SMotT set in Midnight grasp for more Ps resist at the cost of a damage proc. Evens smites and other damage procs for a psi resist IA. Upto you really. Here goes....
  5. I understand where you are coming from.....but i think there needs to be other changes to PPM and content etc first as you say. An empath Defender could ask for the same as heals/buffs aren't needed in steamroll content either only damage buffs or Debuffs to speed kill time up. I just don't think the answer is for all AT's to be Damage classes also, which the Dom is not that bad at really.
  6. Try farming on a sentinel. It isn't good. Or do a +4x8 on a MM. A blaster can Hover just like a Dom, but a Dom can also negate a lot of damage with mass CC that can actually damage also. The point is that Doms are in a decent spot. They may need a few tweaks here and there though. The content is the problem when CC isn't need anymore because its a steamroll. My experience with CC AT's is they don't know how to CC effectively anyway. Hitting the AoE CC when the mobs are spread everywhere is not the way to go really, let the Tanker do his job first. Why not ask for a Pet buff etc instead that would benefit both CC AT's? something that is actually unique to the class or even tweak some of the primary CC damage slightly. That would also benefit the controller, instead of I want MORE damage using Blasters as the comparison which are not anything like a Dom. Quoting you but not only responding to you.
  7. Don't worry. i did another run today after saying i'm done with it lol. I got to the last mission and had Romulus and is fluffies in safe corner. I killed 2 of the fluffies and had one halfway down and i got Mapserved. I was slightly annoyed lol. I reckon i would have been about a 2 hour ish mark though. I can do it i just don't want to anymore for my sanity haha. I had no outside buffs and had buffed mobs, no insps, no temps, no deaths and 2 hour limit(which i may have achieved 😩)
  8. Wow oh Wow, i never said you did, i was just stating a fact. Chill! Yes a few Blaster sets have a single target hold. How do you think Dom's are one of the best farmers? It is not a Blapper set it is just a blaster secondary. Blapper is a playstyle. Most but not all Blaster secondaries can be played that way. If Dom's clear slowly then why are they farming +4x8 maps easily? A kin Corruptor may be on par with a Scrapper but if the Scrapper has fulcrum also then they won't. CC is for locking mobs down so they become no or little threat. Though some AoE holds can do some damage if procced. The abilty to lockdown mobs so they can not fight back and very high damage would be OTT. I am not being anything i am stating the obvious and you are just choosing to be Delusional.
  9. Blaster CC is no where near Dom CC. A Dom will lockdown whole groups and bosses. Those AoE holds can be procced to great effect. If temporal manipulation is being played at ranged only then it isn't a blapper. Why are you using blasters as a dps comparison to Dom's? Even stalkers don't get the damage modifier you are talking about. Sentinels don't get anywhere close. Corruptors would cry for MORE DAMAGE probably. You are completely undervaluing your CC and that is the major issue here. I recommend you play a different AT like a blaster.

  11. Blasters should have more AoE, they are BLASTERS. Procs and holds work pretty well for CC. Blasters are max dps from melee range, not from range. Although ranged damage is good. A blasters survival was in question also I think. A dominator that plays as a dps rather than locking down the mobs safely first should really be playing a different class in the first place. A blaster should always do significantly more damage than a CC class. Maybe if dominators gave up some of that CC to do more damage but then again why not just roll a dps class?. I don't think we will ever agree. We just see the class differently. I hope you get something though, hopefully nothing OP. That would just end badly. I don't think people would object to a pet buff though that would certainly help Dom's and controllers. Maybe go that route as it won't step on others toes the same. Good luck though 😊
  12. Of course. A damage buff for Doms is not out of the question but putting blasters as a comparison is just wrong. They may do less damage than a blaster but it would still be significant for a class that can lock down whole groups and be CC immune with enough recharge that also helps the attack chain. They may lack the big long cooldown nuke that blasters get but they have AoE that can be cycled with good effectiveness with +recharge. They can also use procs to good effectiveness. A Dom will lock a target down, nullifying any threat then have their wicked way with them. A Blaster should not have this CC and be more at risk from retaliation and CC. Damage being their main survival. If you want damage then don't pick a CC class pick a damage class. It's not like Dominators don't do decent damage already. A possible solution is to give them a small fury type bar in Domination that gives +damage or just a damage buff but when Domination is used the damage buff is lost. The choice being more damaging attacks or hitting Domination and having stronger CC and CC resistance. But not both. Or just buff the pet significantly to benefit the Dom and Controller. Just an idea.
  13. Not every team set up requires controls or even a Blaster really. Just roll a team of defenders for example or even a team of dominators. The game is easy enough for any team combination to do. Crowd control being needed less does not warrant Blaster damage, it just shows the games need for harder content as most of it is steamrolled nowadays. A plant dominator destroys mobs fast already for example. Amazing CC and then you want Blaster damage on top? Would you like more pets also like a Mastermind?
  14. It seems the answer to everything nowadays is MORE DAMAGE!. If Blasters become obsolete because of more damage ATs that bring more to the table do we then buff them with even MORE damage? 🀣 Maybe a small buff to Dom damage but no where near Blasters. If you want to do Blaster damage then roll a Blaster. Dominators were the villain side Crowd Control that added some extra damage. They are/were a main CC class and not a main damage class. They would be far too powerful. Lockdown a group entirely then nuke it into oblivion even faster? No lol. Controllers are the Hero side CC that also can buff a teams damage/survival etc. No way are Blasters and Doms comparable in my opinion.
  15. A small auto absorb that gets better the lower your health that ticks every 2-3 seconds could be added to resilience might be a nice different way of buffing the set. Other than that bump the resistance a little in resilience maybe. Fast cast MoG. Regen debuff resistance.
  16. My favourite at the moment is Rad/SS with Rad/DM close behind. Great mitigation/heal set and some nice added AoE damage clickies. I am partial to Dark armour also. Looks cool. WP is fun also for easy straight forward tanking whilst attacking. I have not tried SR Tanker yet , I keep meaning to. Back in the day my main was an Ice/SS Tanker. I enjoyed that back then but haven't made one since. All Tankers are good though it's hard to make a bad choice.
  17. Done my last try..... Got to Romulus on mission 4. It was just taking way too long killing him then him rezzing then killing him again, on and on. One nictus and Romulus left but I gave up. I don't know how you guys have the patience lol. Lost the NPC imperious he just wandered of and got himself killed. I guess there are tactics i should know better but i am not doing that again in a hurry. I will gouge my eyes out with red hot pokers first 🀣 You guys are amazing to have completed that πŸ˜€ I have done a pylon test and it seems i have added a minute onto my time now since my last respec. I am downing the pylon in 4 minutes with no incarnate toggles now. Sucks! so need to sort that out again now.
  18. A \invulnerability stalker with ageless radial for the extra DDR, decent defence and mitigation using the melee incarnate may actually work.
  19. I took my shield\ss Tanker in there and though she could last a long time they would slowly whittle her down. On the 3rd mission fighting the generals she eventually died. I didn't run as it was a survivability test. I avoided using rage too much to avoid the crash. She had 90%S\l, 68% melee defence and 57% ranged\aoe. Just over 90% DDR. Musculature t4, ageless t4 and assault. The problem was no healing. I could use rebirth though and do it fairly easily. Endurance would need to be sorted in other ways like swapping out musc for cardiac or dropping assault for melee incarnate etc. Without incarnate I do not think it would be possible with her at all. Endurance, dps or survivability would suffer too much without the incarnate system. In normal ITF she has tanked the ambush on top of the tower with barely a scratch. Invulnerability may fair better though as it has a self heal but less DDR. Definitely doable with Shield but it would need to be set up well with some heals and endurance covered. Shield\dark melee or shield\rad may work well.

  22. Nice one @nihiliiπŸ˜‰ Impressive, on a Rad Scrapper also with no DDR. My last attempt i was on mission 3 and killed all the Generals and the last 2 bosses but the mission still said i had one to kill lol. I looked everywhere but could not find one so gave up. No luck lol. I must've been about 45-50 minutes in when completed the last 2 bosses as i spent 10 or so minutes looking for the last general as the 1 hour timer failed whilst looking. <<<< a bit ambitious πŸ˜„
  23. I took a newly built Bio\Rad Tanker into the buffed ITF for a quick test last night. I pulled a bunch of Cimemorans and stood in the middle not attacking other than my 2 auras ticking. It was surprisingly durable using it's cooldowns heals. S\L resists being strong in Bio helped and strong regen and absorbs even with being defence debuffed to oblivion. The other resists are much lower and could run into trouble though. I think Bio coupled with a set that offered more crowd control with knockdowns etc would work even better. I have a 50 Bio\SS Tanker also that i may swap the enhances to.
  24. Well you could do 2 runs of +4 or 1 run of +6 for example. A +4 would be easier and faster but a little less rewarding. 1 +6 would be slower but much more rewarding. But 2 runs compared to 1 would average similar reward and time to complete. Just a basic idea really.probably a garbage idea lol.
