  3. It would have been nice if the discord link were posted in the official beta update page 1. Even sending a link or posting the link to those leaving feedback.
  4. No there should not be 2 threads on the same matter. One main official thread and one behind the scenes thread pulling the strings. My feedback did not count as I feel the official thread was overlooked in favor of the other one. Not even a developer could convince me otherwise. If governments were run that way......oh wait a sec.
  5. Hardly common knowledge either, it's not exactly overflowing with members. It didn't need to exist as there was a thread already for it. I feel your group were listened to more than the feedback thread that existed due to lack of any response and alternative builds to test. Yes fair enough but it isn't how it looks lol. Comes across as very elitist. Just saying. What i do find funny is the response this has caused and the "club" members coming out of the woodwork to defend it 😛 Transparency weren't actually my words by the way. I am not really worried guys, it is what it is. It isn't good. But if you are happy with it i guess that is what matters. I will be consoled with EM 🙂
  6. A secret club? lol. First time i have seen this. I don't and won't use discord anymore so it is no good to me. How many other secret liasons exist with the developers? So the feedback thread was a waste of time as others were giving feedback elsewhere that took priority it seems. That is why the thread had so little response. ToF with it's low damage and small radius that is buffed by Soul Drain that is not available until level 28 for some, which is to be mostly discarded at 35 and is not really an improvement on the Shadow maul we had on live. And that is why it is pointless giving feedback. Obviously not so Transparent then. Lol Gold Standard testers....so what are the rest of us? just peasants probably lol. Nearly 35k CoH with over 7k online members and just 103 members of this little GSt club with 45 online at this time. Definitely not transparent.
  7. I was thinking about this also earlier for some reason lol. A PBAoE circle which grants fly would be better. At least players can choose whether they want to be in it or not. I would suggest at least 2 minutes. It would also be cool if it put Rocket packs or floating discs etc under players feet and on their backs.
  8. But it was proven to be wrong. Of course they can do what they want, whether right or wrong. Ill just choose to leave DM as it pales in comparison to EM. And i am grateful to the developers for all their work. I just wished they had responded more with DM. MA was pulled due to feedback.
  9. Yes I suppose. But that is cherry picking. One post will have 5 votes and another had one, they choose to go with the one with one vote. Multiple people have left feedback and asked for something different. We didn't even get a chance to try something a little different. No response given. That is Ignored. I for one won't bother with feedback after this, it is pointless. It is ok though as EM is awesome and i will be playing that and not DM 🙂
  10. So Dark Melee was released entirely ignoring the feedback that that was given. Why did we even waste our time? Feedback is either being cherry picked or completely ignored. The rest of the update it awesome 😉 but Dark Melee should've been put back again as the feedback was pretty negative to it. Opening a suggestion thread for it would have been better.
  11. Katana then. Good single target and AoE with a defence buff. Rad melee, not short on AoE and the single target is pretty decent. Savage melee good AoE and single target. All as good AoE and better single target than staff. I don't even want to mention SS or the new EM lol. All the sets should be given a quick balance pass in my opinion.
  12. You are only tankier as a sentinel because you are blasting at range or using hover. You are not really any Tankier than a Scrapper, it is just that a Scrapper is in the thick of it doing very high damage. A sentinel is probably just hiding at the back or the Tank is covering you. Kill fast and less threat....less threat is more survival.
  13. Yes i mentioned Staff in another thread. It's singe target damage is pretty bad but people justify it by saying it has good AoE. It does have ok Aoe but nothing special, not enough to warrant such low single target anyway. Not having a build up does not help. Compare War Mace again to Staff. Better single target damage and does it really have less AoE? NO!
  14. I agree. War Mace for example is one of the highest single target damage sets, yet has very good AoE also, whilst offering good soft crowd control in stuns and knockdowns. I would take a knockdown over a small to hit debuff any day. It offers more survival and can take a FF proc. Dark Melee has a less resisted damage type which is nice and soul drain which makes the set, which is weaker on single targets. But it is not a top single target damage set or AoE. Siphon life's damage or DPA is neutered by having a small heal attached. Smite and Midnight Grasp are it's 2 best single target powers. Some do like the heal in Siphon Life including Stalkers,and are resistant to losing it, yet they are willing to lose the heal in Energy Melee to get more damage on a set that really does not need it lol. I also think dark melee needs a bigger review to all of it's powers and bringing up to date. I do not think a throw away weak AoE is doing anything good for the set at all. No main power in a set should be throw away in my opinion anyway. I view the epics as a way to fill out weaknesses etc. For example controllers have some extra damage attacks and armours in their epics to flesh out their builds, which they lack. Why is DM to have a throw away power when other sets do not?. A long cooldown epic AoE does not replace main set AoE, it just enhances it, if needed. ToF could have been another good single target damage power and either soul drain or dark consumption or a hybrid of the pair, created into a good AoE power.
  15. DC would still give endurance. It would be on a minute cooldown and not a 3 minute cooldown. Nuke and endurance gain with shorter cooldown. No I meant the version we have on offer to test. I was just offering some other ideas like yours, I am sure lots of you cou!d give some better ideas also. Just something less bland than this test version of ToF.
  16. Or create a power similar to Fire Aura's Burn but with a Dark animation. They could just leave Shadow maul as it is on live but turn Dark Consumption into a 1 minute cooldown big AoE similar to Ground Zero but gives 30-50%ish endurance instead of a heal to everyone around. I am sure lots of people can come up with some cool and interesting ideas. This version of ToF is just unimaginative and quite underwhelming.
  17. I would give FA fear protection. There is not a lot fire fears except a large amount of water lol.
  18. Devastating blow is more comparable with Total Focus. ET is an extra follow up attack that does even more damage than TF or DB and is 2.5 times faster to animate and half the recharge time. Energy melee has 2 extremely high damaging attacks compared to Rad Melee's one. So if Rad melee had full crit Devastating Blow and then Radiation Siphon with a 1 second cast time and double damage as a follow up with full crit that would be fine? 25 second pylon times here we come 😛
  19. No. PC states it is not affected by the increased Arc but Shadow maul does not state that at all. Whether intended or error. SM does seem to hit targets on the far right or left of the hero now and then but not conclusive. I have not seen it hit more than 10 targets on the test servers.   20. Yes I always thought it was for Tankers. I presumed because of the lack of AoE in the set. It is much nicer to use though lol. I hope it stays if it is true as having 2 powers in Dark Melee that struggle to hit target cap, with Touch of Fear with its 6ft radius being the other, would not be good.

  22. I would like to say that removing Rage entirely was only suggested by 1 player. Other powers were mentioned more than once like Pain domination but did not make it to this list. Rage doesn't need removing, just adjusting in my opinion. Plenty of suggestions have been made in other threads.
  23. Yes shadowmaul seems to allow the Tankers extra arc. It is quite noticeable when you use how wider it hits. I don't know whether it was overlooked or was allowed to be like this though. Wider and shorter seems to work better though. Perhaps it should be allowed as the skill has a target cap anyway, it just makes it a little easier to hit the cap. 10 can be hit with PC with no buff but not easily, takes a little maneuvering. Sometimes it will hit only 4 or 5 and that is being completely surrounded by mobs. But I have managed 12 with the buff up but not 16 as of yet. So yes 10 is doable, just not on average.
  24. It is hard to hit the target cap with power crash, but it is with most cones. I can do about 8 on a Tanker if i line them up well without the EF buff and about 12 with the EF buff. I think the target cap is achievable, just not very easily. Compared to Dark Melee's Shadow Maul i found SM easier to hit more targets. PC has longer range but SM has a wider arc on a Tanker, i guess the wider arc works better but it would depend on how the mobs are stacked. But PC isn't that bad really. Seems a little clunky with setting up the EF buff though so i probably just won't bother using EF with it unless i am dead set on clearing a lot of trash. Comparing to Dark melee for example the AoE is near on par but the single target damage of EM is way above DM. For me Energy focus will be spent on ET only with it's fast recharge. The rest doesn't really interest me.
  25. I think ToF with an 8ft radius and a 12-20 second cooldown with appropriate damage may please people more. Could be worth a test at least.
