When you start adding more +recharge some sets become a lot more durable also. +recharge won't do much for Shield but will do a lot for RadA etc. So maybe Hasten should be considered also.

Question to veterans about ss,rad/rad,dark
Gobbledigook replied to Nuclear_Fusion_Kid's topic in Brute
I think the Tanker may do better in AoE due to having more targets but the brute will probably win in single target. But it wont be by much either way and the Tanker comes with a lot of mitigation. If it was me i would pick Tanker but don't let me sway you, i am biased towards Tankers 😛. Both will be good. I would be happy to show what a Rad/SS Tanker can do on excelsior. -
Question to veterans about ss,rad/rad,dark

Rad/SS Tanker. or SS/Rad Brute rotating rune of protection and Meltdown. Proc Rad Therapy, dark obliteration and Ground Zero and an FF proc in footstomp and go to town. -
Is the SS/WP Bunny's only weakness the Holy Handgrenade of Antioch?

It's funny, i used to play a SS tanker back on live and loved it, then i played SS when i started back on Homecoming and couldn't get into it for a long while, but the Rad/SS combo actually made me like it again 😀. Yes the Rage crash is a pain and i would take a rage nerf and single stack rage to remove that crash but i still enjoy the set... i think it feels very classic superhero like Superman, hulk etc lol. I do worry what they will do with Rage. I would not like a Build UP like other sets that would be boring. But the new EM gives me hope 😊. As long as it's not a DM fix 😛
-
I think EM is better single target though. SS is better AoE. But EM is not bad AoE though if you build it for some AoE. Comparing my SS and EM tanker i don't think SS needs a nerf at all, or not by much anyway. Rage could be lowered some and the low damage powers of SS raised a little like Jab.
-
I took my Shield/SS into the MoITF and even with the crashes it was still ok. Just took a bit more damage during crash and be prepared make a sharp exit or pop rebirth. Still had around 40%ish defence even with crash with some decent mitigation. The knockdowns of footstomp help a lot foo those 10 seconds though. Still works very well imo.

Nevermind i got it working.

RadA is not as good as ShieldD for this ITF but it isn't too bad. You have to work harder and can not just face tank them for long on a RadA Tanker. I built my Rad/SS tanker with really good AoE damage. Footstomp, Rad therapy, dark obliteration and ground zero will thin a pack out quite easily lowering the debuffs you get. Hopefully in a short time you will just have a few bosses to contend with, which RadA can cope with easily. Obviously ShieldD has shield charge also so it is the top set for this. But if you can clear the mobs fast you will survive better and RadA does help with this by bringing extra AoE with procs. My opinion is that ShieldD/SS would be the best choice for a MoITF mobs buffed, player debuffed etc. Extra damage and to hit, very survivable, extra CC with SS and good AoE. You just have to be aware of the rage crashes.

EAgle's Claw changes: what happened?
Gobbledigook replied to Razor Cure's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I agree, Eagles claw was perfect for it. It would have transformed it from a weak dpa single target attack into a strong cone that the set could use. Win win. I wouldn't turn Storm Kick into a cone as some suggested as it is one of MAs best attacks and would lose that due to getting a cone. Crane kick or CAK could work I guess but then Eagles Claw could still do with speeding up as the dpa isn't so good or a damage buff, hence the damage buff effect it received to try to make it worthwhile and not a dps loss. -
Invulnerability/TWs may be worth a try. Just need to patch the Psi hole with IOs and work on the endurance a little. @Infinitumhas a few builds that could be adapted on page 3. Most sets can be very tough with a good build though. And secondary is your choice, play one you like the feel of or concept.

With enough tries/tweaks you will probably break the minute barrier but the figures you show are more average times. Well done 😊

Is there a way to identify which nictus is which of the 3?

issue 27 Patch Notes for December 1st, 2020 - Winter Event!
Gobbledigook replied to Jimmy's topic in Patch Notes Discussion
:). Atlas with a sack full of presents and candy canes on his back would be good. -
I have a Bio/SS and a Bio/EM Tanker now. Both are built very similar. Bio/EM has a bit better single target damage but Bio/SS is a bit better on the AoE and offers better survival in my opinion. I prefer my Bio/SS. With Barrier, Parasitic aura and Rune of Protection at his disposal he is pretty tough. Still working on the incarnates at the moment. It can not beat my Rad/SS for AoE though but it's close. I may try a MoITF if i can find the willpower 😛

issue 27 Patch Notes for December 1st, 2020 - Winter Event!

Would be nice if you could do something with the Atlas Globe like you did for the Halloween event . A snow globe or a Christmas pudding or a Giant snowman for example 🙂 -
I like the new Energy Melee, but i do not want to see anymore nerf Super Strength posts. 😛
-
I went EM/invuln. Quite tough a little low on AoE, ball lightning will help. Single target is extremely strong.

Super Strength Proliferation to Scrappers and Stalkers
Gobbledigook replied to ironjoe's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
It would need to be higher for a single mob and less per extra mob, like soul drain. If it were a toggle as suggested above. 40-120% or something like that. You could just lower the Rage buff a little to 60% and either let it stack or not. Remove the crash completely and adjust the numbers of the set a little to compensate. Might be easier and meet less Resistance. Improve hurl. Turn hurl or handclap into an extra cone/AoE. Stalkers get a build up maybe. And give Tankers Energy Aura and Regen 😁 -
Did i see you on Excelsior the other day? Neo Tsuko or something like that? 🙂

The Good, the Bad, the Fugly [ issue 27 ]
Gobbledigook replied to Taboo's topic in General Discussion
I wasn't happy with Dark Melee as many of you know, and won't use it now, 😜 but I am happy and enthusiastic with i27, there is more I liked than disliked. It is easy to get caught up in an argument. Someone says something or it is taken\read wrong and it escalates. But deep down I think we are all nice people, I have never met a bad person in game. We are just passionate about this game 😘 -
Building for resistance + the Tanker ATO procs and with the Tanker health i would imagine a regen Tanker would be pretty sweet 🙂
-
Yes. That is why invuln and shield at higher levels do really well. They can be built with IOs to have very high defence and very good resistance. Healing is barely needed then. A resist set will probably need some healing, which most resist sets come with . They can build defence but certain mobs will strip it easily with no DDR. They are more prone to debuffs also. That is why i put invuln and shield 2-3 but shield only with good IO investment. But Rad etc are awesome also. A question to all...Do you think the ATO proc favours defence sets more than resist sets, that cap more easily without the proc? ElecA has very high resists already. Resist sets should get resistance debuff resistance also or do some get this?
-
Yes it is a confusing power. Used for leveling until epic powers are available apparently (most sets don't have this), yet some ATs don't get it or soul drain until quite high levels. The radius is very small and will struggle to hit it's cap. It feels to short of a cooldown really for an AoE and feels too spammable. Yes if specced out at higher levels Dark melee has just had a nerf. SM+ToF is nearly twice the cast time of the old SM for pretty much the same effect. But old SM was buffed in order to compensate for DMs lack of AoE.
