Well, considering you're hitting all three of the hardware "gotchas" (sufficient CPU (speed and total processing power), memory and solid state drives, here's hoping this upgrade will fix (or at least ameliorate) the issue. And yes, I'm preaching to the choir. But look at how much memory gets held onto (Properties/Memory - Minimum Server Memory) before clearing the DB. If you're set to default 0 MB, this can cause slowdowns as the system tries to dump memory and can actually cause processes to hang. Worse, with zero, it can sometimes cause the service to choke itself out (memory starvation), Try 256/512/1024. I've run into this on several clients and have gotten beneficial results. If this doesn't appear to be your case, feel free to file my suggestion in the bit bucket.

No. As I said, they're demonstrably tougher. But missions using the whole "ambush wave" mechanic? Remember, bumping level and enemy size will ADD difficulty. But ambushes MULTIPLY it. A standard group is going to be about 4 enemies. A x2 makes it 8. An ambush wave takes it from 8 to 24 -32-+ How many enemies can a Level 14 ANYTHING fight through? "You're supposed to run away..." *Wipes bum with this possibly-true but still unacceptable answer.*

My only real...well...OBJECTION...are the frequent and rather unrelenting nature of the ambushes in such missions. Seriously. We're in our teens and early 20's, and things like Recovery are VERY hard to come by. There's even a couple such missions in single-digit ranges! So here! Have an ambush or two! Or three. HELL! HAVE FOUR! STACKED! Oh! Stealth! WUZZAT? With the way the missions balance out, being able to bump difficulty, which is fairly dependable Red/Blue side goes from "Tough" to "OMGWTFBBQ!!!!!" with almost no notice. These kinds of shifts are why I normally don't play Gold Side AT ALL. So I've got a couple of characters I've gotten into the side switching. But I've got more which are more or less permanently gated Gold Side because trying to advance them is nearly as fun as a do-it-yourself Orchidectomy with a shop vac and a saws-all,

This build doesn't really require Hover, as the Defense numbers are already in the "OMG STOOPIT!" range. The only reason I do it this way is to get the prerequisite power selections for Rune Of Protection to jack up the Resist numbers.

Yes. VERY unhappy with the state of Mids. Crippling a functional, but not always stable sharing system for a new system that's simply non-functional.
