  1. Now it is. Prior to the player fast travel improvements in 2012, MAYBE it was solo-able. It was just too much kick in the balls to bother. As the time investment was just out of whack.
  2. Also, the cleanup of the mission text has SERIOUSLY streamlined the game for those going after badges and reward-bearing mission chains. So you aren't stuck having to do EVERY LAST MISSION the contact could provide you to make sure you get the rewards. Anything in a badge/reward mission has the header in blue.
  3. Grown men? Or "grown" men?
  4. Sorry, but I'm going to continue to disagree here. We still have TOs, and DOs. And the game is still, primarily balanced around SOs. As such, IMNSHO, excising the median from the game would be...well...DUMB. Can I AFFORD nicer build loadouts? Sure! Do I want to twink EVERY LAST BUILD in my roster? Sure! Is it SMART for me to do that? HECK THE FRAK NO!
  5. Unfortunately no. It's the latest version of Mids. The HTML link should give you everything you need to rebuild the thing locally for yourself.
  6. https://mids.app/build/preview/cKXK1NjfFpA.htm
  7. So you're trying to make a quantitative argument based on a perception of qualitative difference/sameness?
  8. This is an opinion not backed by fact. CAN one do it? Sure. SHOULD one do it? Probably not. Can the process be simplified through the use of SOs? Yes.
  9. It's basically a about how Resist and Defense performs before buff/debuff mods.
  10. This is an indication that they've too closely coupled the application to the platform.
  11. And this is guy here is a supergroup leader with two of his own sidekicks...
  12. Funny he should ask...
  13. If someone takes your kid and shows them pictures of dead puppies, is that okay? There are certain protocols for doing social/psych experiments on real humans Twixt basically violated pretty much ALL those protocols. https://www.nola.com/news/city-of-heroes-character-twixt-becomes-games-most-hated-outcast-courtesy-of-loyola-professor/article_9c0d36ba-107a-53ba-aee9-579cf7b71fb4.html
  14. It's a lazy response. Granted this guy's response is lazy and childish too. But answering like with like solves/proves NOTHING.
  15. Gonna need a dump truck for that many dice...
  16. Some of these things are, likely, because this is a kinda-sorta-almost-but-not-quite-actually-released Bethesda title. So a lot of the behavior from this game are highly anomalous. And we're likely to see better, more dependable performance and image quality metrics down the road as CPU and GPU optimizations work their way into the pipeline...
  17. Yup. Makes no difference at all.
  18. And what LOD are you playing at?
  19. Remind me never to ask you what happened to your bottom lip...
  20. Through snow, uphill, BOTH WAYS! And if you complained about it, someone would trot out and tell you about how they once killed Hamidon, solo, with nothing but a loose leaf notebook!
  21. The set? Of course. On a per-piece basis? Not so much.
  22. It's not really in a genre I care about. Also, it's built in such a way that it's more "technology testbed". I've never really been about games that could make a $4000 system feel like a half-dead P3 800 and an overheated Voodoo1. If you enjoy this sort of thing? Knock yourself out!
  23. And sorry about the Three Amigos joke. I was exposed to it at a formative time in my life...
  24. Yes. The exorbitant time investment pre-Merits was nuts. Most would play it once (or several times in shifts to complete) and get the badge. Now, with Mission TP, Team Teleport, Mission Teleport, and a plethora (El Guapo: Do joo know what a plethora eez?)... ...of travel powers, the pain point of the TF (the time investment) is down to a far more reasonable duration. I've done one BEFORE these changes. It took about 14 hours. Now you can, if you're lazy, do it in under 3.
