  1. Perhaps Tuesday was chosen because Monday would be used for final prep before an update and, if there's a problem that needs to be addressed with a particular patch once it has gone live, it gives them plenty of time to take care of it before the weekend traffic rush.
  2. Show me where "I" say I'd quit in mid tf/trial. Don't presume to tell people how to enjoy the game just because they don't play it your way.
  3. To reiterate, it's a game. I play to entertain myself. If I'm not being entertained, no amount of arguing with the person causing that lack of enjoyment will make it more entertining. Neither will "taking over" so that they'll play MY way. It is clear that we don't view the playing of a game with the same degree of seriousness; which is fine with me.
  4. It's a game. It no longer costs anything real to fail and, therefore, take longer in real time to achieve a desired goal. If you don't like how someone else is enjoying themselves, don't play with them.
  5. Thanks for a great event and great pics. I am especially thankful that my head was cut off in that last one, as the "Ultimate Hero" product I was using in my hair didn't stand up to its advertised holding claims. I even managed to snag the "Watches the Watchers" badge during the Black Knight segment.
  6. What I mean is that a subscription service would make it difficult, if not impossible, to keep them from turning a profit and, thus, jeopardising the situation; that situation being that NCSoft is allowing Homecoming to run its intellectual property as entertainment, rather than as a money-making venture. Clearly.
  7. That's exactly what I mean. Cheers.
  8. I'd definitely sign up for an automatic donate system, but wouldn't that be difficult to police; as I'm sure one of the conditions of NCSoft's allowing the game to run is that it doesn't turn a profit?
  9. Probably a pain to implement but, I'd like to see a method of sorting the alts on each server, and then saving that new list. Perhaps a "Sort/Unsort"toggle, so that those that are happy with the way things are don't get changed. The "Sort" choice could then offer "Name/Level/Last On" options similar to the SG list selections, and the game remembers your preference on that server; although it can be changed again at any time.
  10. I was Cyber-Krampus on Everlasting. Fun time!
  11. Click the Imgur* link in the first post. All the contestant pics are there.
  12. I'll make every effort to be there, but may end up having to tune in from some other zone in order to keep my vidcard from melting in the lag-bog. That's not a dig at you. It's a prediction of how popular I expect this event to be! Cheers!
  13. If anyone knows who has the name "Captain Valiant" on the Everlasting shard, I would really like to contact them. I'm "@Captain Valiant" globally ingame. Thanks.
  14. First, let me say that I haven't read the entire thread. I've only read the OP so, if these ideas have already been put forth, bravo to the poster(s) who offered them. There is NO reason to keep any costume parts behind a grind target, or have them used as the "prize" for any given accomplishment. That's what badges are for. If I have a level 50 toon on one server, and want to enter a costume contest on another server, I want the option of making a new character with the same, or similar name, rather than having to transfer the level 50 character to the contest server and lose whatever is in vault storage, SG membership, and server contact list to show off or for a chance at winning some prize at the whim of another player or players, or staff member(s), for that matter. I don't want costume options for the newly made copy to be level/accomplishment locked because I didn't play on that particular server. The only way that a costume contest can be considered even remotely fair is if all contestants have access to the same materials to construct their costumes with. Again, if you feel the need to show off accomplishments to be able to enjoy the game, which is all very well and good for YOU, do whatever is required in order to win the badge. Don't try to restrict the enjoyment of others who have every right to play the game the way they want to for their entertainment.
  15. Wow, Gadfly! That's terrific! A shame you didn't bring it along.
  16. Are there any pics of the winners?
  17. You will, of course, explain in detail, in writing, what constitutes a copyright violation as it pertains to your game, for our future reference. "Copyrighted materials" can be interpreted as red capes, for example. Your definition must be complete and unable to be interpretted in more than one way.
  18. The /ah command brings up the Wentworth's window wherever you are.
  19. 1) New content at all levels. I don't want to have to learn a new version of the game (the incarnate system) past level 50 in order to continue to enjoy myself. I'm sure that this was initially set in place as an advancement hobble under the original subscription system to force people to take longer (pay more) to advance. 2) How about allowing multiple costume selections from the same detail list, if the model can handle it. If there are a Detail 1, Detail 2 and Detail 3 available to the head of the model, allow 3 TOTAL details selectable, regardless of what sublist they're on.
