  1. Well, the follow up one is Number 8 in that series, then you're looking for 3. Doctor Who: The New Adventures of Bernice Summerfield Volume 03: The Unbound Universe - Doctor Who - The New Adventures of Bernice Summerfield - Big Finish, and following, though they're all 4 disc boxsets and a tad more expensive. I'll link you something else here to amuse you. These were all recorded as radio plays and the animation added later by fans. David Warner doesn't appear in all of them but he's great whenever he does.
  2. Hazy! A step further into the Audio universe built by Big Finish, so para-canon/crypto-canon at least. HOWEVER, he has one in the bag already recorded with Christopher Eccleston playing 9, though I don't know if he's playing HIS Doctor opposite 9. We will see (hear!). If you're looking for a sample, the earliest one is 2. Doctor Who - Unbound: Sympathy for the Devil - Doctor Who - Unbound - Big Finish at £2.99 for a download. No idea of the dollar price.
  3. He's wonderful as an alternate universe Doctor Who on plenty of audio adventures. Acting opposite his long term partner, Lisa Bowerman.
  4. I suppose that depends on their personal canon/RP group canon, yeah? As Morales is still mayor officially in game. Though surely retirement must beckon!
  5. Why have the man tarnish his reputation by going into politics? Let him retire and go home to his long suffering wife!
  6. Exactly. My point is predicated on "if you are going to do anything with them then do this, otherwise..."
  7. Bloody Bay, Siren's Call and Warburg? Make them PVE and add full content/arcs etc. I can't say that would be a popular choice with PVPers, but then again they're effectively dead zones for PVP anyway, so what difference does it make? Practice? Arenas. Other than that? Leave them as is.
  8. Thanks for your considered answer. In all of the to and fro these seem as rare as hen's teeth these days. Do I drag people along on mine? No, I don't. I have been lucky enough to snag a bunch of players who watch what I put out (along with a few other writers) and enthuse about what we've done. Or send me comments saying "not up to your regular standard in Mission 3, fix that!". People do play them. Like anyone I'm at the mercy of (a) farms and (b) listing. (b) is (a general explanation for all rather than patronizing you in particular) if you're at the top of the list then you'll get played more. I've had plenty of comments, a lot good, some horrendous(!) and earned enough tickets to buy the "Payoff" badge a few times for different characters. I was sincere in that query and thanks for treating it like that. The "She said/He said" thing was about me! My replies to you could really be only anecdotal and I'd descend to that level, and I didn't want to do that. And my comment on accuracy should not have included your line about you writing AEs, I was specifically referring to bringing people along and who plays them. That was me lazily pulling the entire quote. IF my Dev Choices were deemed to be fit enough to slot into the game, sure, what AE writer would turn that down? I've not written anything, well not published anything, in a bit. I was waiting for proposed changes in AE creation (not this thing at all) to see what new things I could utilize or leverage going forward. That customization thing seems interesting at the least. Anyway, thanks again.
  9. I had a little of that nonsense before pointing out to people, hey, we're IN Praetoria, you're the ones with the problem here, not me. LOL. Admittedly that does not always go well!
  10. RP is not a thing run by the Devs or built into the game itself. You can do it, and GMs even help out and participate sometimes with RP events, but there's never been rewards for it because the game was never set up to do it. The rewards for RP are dictated by either a predetermined set of rules that the RPers agree to adhere to and/or the fun of actually RPing in the first place. Even if you were to have rewards how would you distribute them? Here's X amount of XP/Reward Merits/etc, because that was a particularly sharp comment in response to Night Lepus's attempt to ruin the party? If any of the dedicated RP groups/players want to correct me on the above, please do. That said, it's still impossible for the game code to award things for RP.* *Allowing for any XP/drops etc earned in an AE arc written specifically to further an RP storyline.
  11. THAT, my friend, is on them being grade A dipshits and no reflection on you. Yeah, I know you know that but I'm just verifying it for you.
  12. LOL, yes. THAT thing. So annoying that I don't give anyone an initial speech anymore unless it's something I want "overheard".
  13. There's some legs to this. It's not entirely there yet but it has the makings of something.
  14. Again, automatically conflating AE with farms. Plenty of us do not use it to farm but actually to find actual player made content, of any level. Yes, we can exemp and do stuff written to be lower level, but a level lock shuts out a level 10 from playing something written to be level 10. I think the suggestion is well intentioned but it's not an adequate solution.
  15. Four of them are, but frankly that's beside the point. I wrote them as best as I could and got lucky. There was no guarantee I'd get those. However I specifically wrote them to cover a gap in Gold side between Neutropolis and First Ward - this is veering off the OP, apologies - so that Gold players could have a proper transition rather than just (a) taking the Rift or (b) abruptly going to First Ward. Sure, anyone can play them (and I encourage people to do so!) but they have a distinct purpose even beyond their story. Anyway, thanks for everyone's patience while I now climb down off my soapbox. Even if what you state is 100 % accurate - which I say it isn't, but that's descending into "She said/He said" - so what? I actually don't understand this statement. Please break it down for me.
  16. And how would that be done without locking out people like myself who use it to write SFMAs for lower levels to play? Sure, you can exemp when you go into them, and no issues with that, but I for one don't want level 20s shut off from stuff I specifically wrote so that those levels could play them.
  17. RL and work has got in the way of many a thing for me lately, but never fear, I will get to your stuff!
  18. It's been a loong time since 40 hours was an entire video game, at least in my experience.
  19. One of the issues with removing the Fetch/Fedex things is there is a desire to maintain some continuity with the OG game, so if any version of a remove was planned I think it would be on a case by case basis, looking at the most egregious versions of those things.
  20. I used to use the analogy that farms are songs while story content (in game and AE) are TV Shows. You can easily play the same song over and over, not so much watch a TV show over and over. No, that doesn't contribute to the debate at all when people are looking for some sort of middle ground between now and the changes on Beta. AFAICS the changes on Beta ARE the middle ground versus what could have been a lot more. Anyhoo, stay civil Folks, you know I love you all!
  21. I for one am not actually calling for it to be reinstated. I do think a trial run of it would give some numbers to crunch though.* *I'd be very surprised if it was reinstated to be honest.
  22. Sure they can. Should they? Maybe. Should MARTy be reinstated? Again, maybe. Might be worth it to see how it fares. I'm making an assumption here that you mean the below: Tricky. I mean we have a system for building your own adventures that gets predominantly used for "making your toon swole/wealthy". It's like having a home treadmill that spits money at you while you run. Or leave the dog running on it while you do something else. And weirdly your friend simply standing beside you (or your dog) also gets fit! Trouble is, no one has got anywhere! I think you're genuine in your concern, I just disagree with you that what is happening is wrong in some way. I'll need to have a good ponder on further things about this before I post more.
  23. Well, we're at cross purposes here then, and never the twain shall meet. AE content outside of Dev Choices never gave equal rewards to in world story arcs. Character progress after 50? What's being "lost" is the bumps from Vet levels, something that was an anomaly being in the AE in the first place.
