Re the annoyance of nonperma hasten. If its nonperma then sometimes everything comes up fast, other times its slow. Making it hard to get into the grove. The grove is required.

Its global, but there is some anecdotal comments that you need to use the power its slotted in every so often for the system to remember it. I have mine in my T2. I have noticed it triggers most often in Spinning Strikes. Which unfortunately is only a 7 foot AOE. Which makes my STJ scrapper more impressive against tightly packed groups. Also makes me wonder about 10 foot AOEs ...

This is a good point. There are some sets which fill out and feel better at low levels, and others that need T8 and T9s to feel complete. Once of the annoying aspects of playing my STJ stalker is if I'm exemped below 27 I lose crushing uppercut, which really makes it feel different. But the OP was asking about +4, x8 performance so that's all over 26.

Basically with the right build, including a lot of recharge, Regen can be just as survivable as a well built WP. Using clicks. WP needs no clicks. With less optimized builds its just as Myrmidon says. On SO's? Pffts. Add in WP giving Regen swirlies after Recess and stealing Regen's girlfriend.

If I have hasten, I want it to be perma. Cause otherwise its annoying.

Wow. Exemping down to 49 from 50 and doubling Inf was obviously stupid. It was a no brainer of exploits to close. Proposing all sorts of other changes both to earn tons of Inf, or to sink tons? Not sure it really helps anything.

Would have been 200 INF if not for those nosy kids and their dumb dog.

Don't see all the rest as reasonable, unless its somehow way easier than it sounds. You'd think they would have fixed the running thing a decade ago for sets like BS and WM if that were the case.

The left arm is your shield, but living with all normal shield animations doesn't sound like a big ask though. IE invisible shield.

There are Skyrim mods like this. And I used them several times. So sure, why not? ====== I get the animation thing though, since the shield both forces you into the standard male running/combat stance and it changes some attack sets to 1 hand anims. But that's just how the game works. A lot of sets do the same thing basically. For example WM, BS. Even 2 hand weapons change the running animation (except Kat) the same way. So its not like the invisible shield would be some weird outlier.

Farming is a different game really. So was not a consideration. WM is the 2nd highest ST set dps wise, Kat is several notches behind it. WM is only behind TW which is less user friendly. WM also has more AOE than Kat. I was basing the recommendation on, player seems less familiar with the game, and wants something "strong" WM is the obvious strong choice, there is even a decades old meme supporting it.

WP is better in general play than Regen, and easier to build for. You can build up Regen sure. And of course it has more Regen at its peak times. Some people still have WP hate though, always will.
