I have a STJ/EA and MA/EA at vet 15+, with similar builds
STJ and MA feel remarkable similar ST wise once STJ gets Crushing Uppercut. Before that MA is better. This is in normal play.
However STJ has full scrapper level AOE, and so is just better.
The Old sets probably could stand looked at, the logic behind them losing all their AOE seems stupid now that newer sets do not have that hindrance.
This isn't the easiest to build for survival, but yeah this is a great combo. One of my favorite brutes back in the day.
Nice synergy between lots of recharge for healing flames, double-rage, fast recharging foot-stomps and burn baby burn.
I wonder though if Fire/SS tanker might be the way to go these days on Homecoming.
A Strong Pairing for a new player would be War Mace / Willpower
Simple, easy to build but very strong attack chain (One of the best available)
Nice AOE ability
A secondary with good Endurance Recovery that is also good for survival and benefits a lot from team buffs.
Im confused by the progression.
There was a mechanic where if people played at level 49 instead of 50 they made almost TWICE as much influence as they would if they played at 50.
This was obviously stupid.
There is no functional difference between a level 49 and 50 character.
It had been originally intended to encourage high level characters to exemp down to play with other players. Not to farm lots of money.
In MMOs knocking down schemes for players to farm lots of in-game money is a necessary aspect of managing the economy.
So this is a normal fix. Every MMO ever that survives does things like this.
In that dps is also a function of AOE
For ranged def Fire.
Melee probably Electric.
So for AOE Fire/Elec, ST would be high also.
Of course that's no consideration for survival just damage.

Ice/Eng used to be a ST favorite, but no quick snipe?
This is good. Could also do this with the ninja blaster secondary.
I'm not a fan of the ranged stalker primary though.
Tbh Stalkers are in a great place right now as long as you pick one of the newer primaries (or elec)
Ive never been big on skipping anything in Secondary except T9s that are redundant and suchlike.
Ninjitsu doesn't need a Travel Power - skip that
Not everyone in the damn world needs 3-4 Leadership powers. Skip those.
I wonder if perhaps the doomsayers have it backwards.
Reducing the INF gains should reduce an inflationary pressure. Less Inf paid out/ hour.
At the same time farmers will need to farm more to meet their goals, which will increase the number of recipies ( and IOs) for sale.
The big value of farmers to everyone else are these drops .. so ..
Prices could come down.
As long as the /ragequit aspect doesn't exceed this activity, of course.
