I've had some trouble doing Rad/Rad. I went over to Rad/Psi, and it's working better for me. May I see your build?

  2. I've made a Rad/Rad recently and have noticed you get a lot of hatred from the NPc's more so than other sets i've ever played so highly recommend staying out of melee except for the nuke and DP and make use of the cones and TAOE's.

Corrupters kind of suck with end management IMO and Traps is a pretty end-heavy set (just about everything in Traps is 13 end base).  Best I can suggest:

    • Focus on EndRedux until you have more slots for building.  A lot of sets seem to leave EndRedux as an afterthought so an SO or basic IO can help for now.
    • If you haven't already, Performance Shifter +End in Stamina, Miracle +Recovery in Health.  Panacea +HP/End in Health is also good if you've got an extra slot.  Incidentally Triage Beacon can accept the Panacea proc and distribute it to anyone in range, but i'm told the proc rate is real bad and probably isn't worth it.
    • Get your Atlas Medallion/Marshal as soon as you can (Marshal is locked behind LRSF unfortunately so you're much better off getting Atlas).  Recovery is based on percentages so more Max End means more end per recovery tick.  Also get Portal Jockey/Born in Battle ASAP for the same reason, but Atlas is usually very doable around 30 while PJ/BiB are saved for the 40s (the main contact for PJ, Maria Jenkins, is a 45 contact).  Set bonuses for +Max End are nice too, and Scourging Blast gives it with 2 slots when you'll likely be frankenslotting that set to double up the recharge bonus from 3.
    • If you have Hasten at this point, it might not hurt to not have it up at all times.  The power won't improve your recovery so you'll burn your ens quicker, and will also eat about 15 end when it runs out.
    • Consider picking up some Recovery Serums from P2W.  They give you a significant recovery boost for 4 minutes with a 10-minute cooldown that can be inproved with recharge bonuses.  You can also get Survival Amplifiers which will increase your recovery a bit, but those are pricy and will get more expensive at higher levels.  Base Empowerment Stations also have a Recovery bonus option that lasts 90 minutes at the cost of some basic salvage.

Or take power mastery for conserve power and the awesome power build up.

In this case, Fly isn't compatible with a lot of Earth powers.  Seismic Pressure doesn't work while airborne; no shockwaves or boosted powers. Stalagmite also requires being grounded  A few Earth Manipulation powers also want you earthbound, Fracture requires it and I wouldn't be surprised if Mud Bath and Tremor also require being close to the ground.

While true there are only 3 powers you can not use while flying.

    Upthrust and Stalagmites and Fracture.

The question i ask is why are you flying anyway ? when the sets higher damage is melee range (Heavy Mallet/Seismic Smash).

I have fly but i never use it in missions etc.

I have never felt the need to and my toon is 50.

  7. I have to say for me dark/dark has always been difficult to build a good build for.

I can always get perma dom but it's getting the survivability my other doms have like S/L resists or ranged def (some even have both) i find very difficult.

I think it's the mix of powers dark has.

    Or Lack thereof.

    *shrugs*

This isn't a question of how to get Perma-Dom, but more of the best mechanics to use to maintain it. Do you Auto Dom or Hasten? Can you link the non-Auto power to one of your attacks via a macro? How do you track your non-Auto power so you hit it as soon as it's up? Is it just a matter of putting that power somewhere in your tray that you will see when it's recharged and just training yourself to see it amongst all the chaos? I have been struggling with this so far and am just looking for a way to "idiot-proof" the process.

  9. Yeah Preemptive is -END over time and a Recovery debuff in Interface incarnates.

Coupled with Musculature Endurance Mod makes Elec Doms very effective at draining.

You can end drain with just CA and Static Field+Chain Fences.

My Dom is Elec/Elec/Mu so i floor everything so much quicker.

From what I'm seeing the benefit of Dark/Energy is the synergy of PB plus the to-hit debuff, plus Dark's cones (and the Soul cones) seem to animate pretty quick and do some nice immob.  /Mental might be interesting but I don't know that the longer-animated PsiScream cone is worth it - I'd probably do FIre/Mental before Dark/Mental, but maybe I'll try it on test.

    I have a Psi/mental and i love PsiScream.

It is a clockwork murderer on synapse.

I pair it with Psi Tornado and the damage to mobs is really good.

With Darks Cones i think that would be really interesting.

    Here is my Dark/Dark btw

  11. Umbral Torrent is really good damage as it is and i don't think you need the procs in it but Soul Tenticles and TT do.

On Single targets/AV's I normally do ST+TT and Gloom for the DoT then wail on the target with the bigger hitters.

That is what people fail to realise is you can DoT damage to something while using other powers.

  12. I went this way with mine.

    Pretty Fun

EA is easier to Cap at an earlier level for a few reasons, mostly involving IOs

You have an in set resist mule for your two +3% Def IOs, so you can slot them before you have Tough.

S/L is easy to build with either Smashing Haymaker or Kinetic Combat 4 slots

S/L stacks with the temp power Kinetic Damper - really nice early

SR on scrappers has horrible level progression because of the AOE hole.  EA doesn't have that.

At 50 though neither is really easier to build than the other.  EA just exemping a little better below level 30.

SAme is true for SR or Nin

And no a lot of EA builds still do not have a soft capped neg def
