Understandable confusion then, but it is happening somewhere, as CoD shows: Also, I forgot to answer this but personally I just 1-slot it with Synapses Shock F, which provides Schedule B End Mod (26.5%) and 15% Run Speed (always on, like a set bonus). It's a nice boost to ground movement and helps perk up the endurance recovery.

Sleeps were changed to be Autohit. However, the damage component of the power (and any %damage procs slotted) still have a separate roll to hit.

Is there anything Ice Control can be paired with to make it awesome?

Hang tight for a second and pair it with Assault Rifle... Assault. ARA ARA? -
Welcome Home! - An Open Letter from Homecoming

Whoa. Just realized with this that I've been playing on HC longer than I did on Live... This really puts a smile on my face, because whether you loved the arc or otherwise, it definitely ended on an implied 'to be continued' that deserves to be told. Help Chat is about to get wild. -
I love this game but it's pretty awful at capturing iconic powers. I'd say just pass on the idea. And I say that after leveling a Rad/Martial to 48 with only X Ray beams and Aim from the blast set. It's not worth it, unless you just want to RP it and not have actual fun when playing. Or make a Havoc instead. Sonic blast. He's the cooler Summers brother, anyway.

Please remove the maximum level from Contacts!
twozerofoxtrot replied to Taveena's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Fun fact you can currently do this with the Graham Easton arc as long as you've talked to him once and have him in your contacts during the appropriate level range. Don't even need to start the arc. Come back at level 50 and whup tsome Tsoo! Bug? Or WAI preview feature? You decide! -
I duo'd this exact combo up to 20 with no twinking, as you mentioned. I'll just say there were painful points, and that keeping yourself in large teams will likely be the optimal way to go, at least early on. This isn't any indicator of the endstate performance by the way. It's just that compared to other Defenders I've played, it had a really rough takeoff.

Everlasting's Guide to Comedy arcs

For those that don't know, Defeat All Snakes is lowkey one of the best writers on the server, either in their AEs or in character. Do yourself a favor and play all of these. I had a blast rolling through Crime of the Year in a small RP SG with them. -
The game is really alt friendly so don't sweat it too much.

They're all good with the right build. Scrappers can potentially do more single target damage. Tankers are the toughest out there, but have been buffed so they do obscene AoE damage. Brutes are in between and frankly, if you're not going for a niche build goal will tank anything a Tanker can. A lot of people feel like Brutes are pointless in their middle category place. I get the sentiment, but it's really only a result of how strong Tankers were buffed to combined with some powerful knowledge of how game systems work to abuse the buffs for extra proc damage. If none of that made sense to you, don't worry. They're all different playstyles. But the answer is Fire/Kin Corruptor. Skipping the rest cause short on time. This can literally be anything. With enough game knowledge and Incarnate (end game) powers, every character becomes a god.

Any teaser what is being worked on? (archived)

Which is exactly how it works for in-game lore, and is the writen justification for powers like Arachnos Widow's Foresight (in this case "otherwise knowing" is limited precognition). -

What next for my Controller project?
twozerofoxtrot replied to Scarlet Shocker's topic in Controller
If you're interested in a rarely seen combo that is very effective even without advanced slotting, consider Symph/Dark. Once Dark Regen comes online, it's an absolute powerhouse. FF is a great soloing set despite the common focus on the two buffing bubbles. A very sturdy mid-level soloist is Grav/FF. A classic combo but with big improvements thanks to HC, since you can Wormhole into Singy, then you drop an AoE -Res with Force Bomb and go to work melting the mob down. Meanwhile Dispersion Bubble gives you very rare Mez protection and Damping Bubble dulls the effect of debuffs on you. The only downside to this combo is you're going into teams, you'll want to slot a lot of KB>KD. -
Best thing that ever happened to my SS/INV Brute from live was getting rerolled as an INV/SS Tanker here.

Instead of that, make Castillo live in the bubble. Because EBs and AVs have low protection to sleep and immobs, you can drop Static on him, then layer electric fence to hold him in place. Every 4 seconds he'll go to sleep, so just chain the immob. Castillo (to my recollection) doesn't have any snipe attacks. He mostly uses a flame thrower and melee. Keep him trapped in his nap puddle and slowly melt him down with your level 1 immob. Maybe 1 yellow insp at the start to ensure you stick the first cast. After that it should be a cake walk.

Art/Commission Sharing Thread

They mentioned it was Bing. Yeah, that Bing from Microsoft. It's actually pretty amazing, and in the hands of a creative writer can compile some pretty impressive images. I was sold on the ability of it when I said I didn't think it could do my character Glyphica from in game and a friend of mine took that as a challenge: I was both elated and distraught how much better the AI did then my own imagination. -

Looking for a primary to go together with Rad Melee
twozerofoxtrot replied to Kabal's topic in Tanker
I have a Bio/Rad tanker that I enjoy a lot. There's a great synergy between Rad's slow/passive animations and Bio's clicks that doesn't leave you feeling bored while also being effective at lawnmowering down mobs. Downsides are single target damage is a lot slower and you need to be actively playing or you can mess up power timing (don't animation lock for yourself for 3 seconds when you need that fresh Ablative Carapace!) The mid levels were a slog. I honestly thought I'd delete the character (which was a test project toon rather than a concept character) but by the 40s came into her own and felt good to play. As for tinting Bio's effects: I recommend light blues, greens, and/or purples. Whatever suits your character most, but anything in that realm of the color wheel tends not to fight Bio's weirdly dark base tinting too much. Flavor Rad's cloudy effects the same or similar and it all blends together somewhat nicely. -
I love how I can click a thread on my phone, scroll up from the bottom, go like 4 swipes before getting to the top and halfway through think "this is a Rudra post" and have that ego-tingling warm feeling of being right when I finally get there. But anyhow Rudra is more or less right. Apply the logic to any other weapon set. Dual Blades with nothing held? Battle Axe but it's invisible? I'm all for maximum customization and minimum effects proliferation but SD without the shield is just silly. At that point its "Defense" (ironically one of the more offensive protection powersets).

Relatively tanky for a per with middling damage. Not as terribly important as say, Singularity but certainly worth the pick. If not for the 4 slotting of a high recharge pet set alone. I didn't seen Blizzard on Jack's powers list, so you shouldn't have to deal with those sfx.

As a Dom, your opener should be controls to keep you alive and not debuffs. You need to be active and aggressive with controlling enemies (particularly while solo) because you'll have a dearth of defensive abilities. Those you can pick will be from pools and endurance-inefficient. Pair that with the endurance consumer that Arctic Air is, and you're having a bad time. Control into heavy damage. Debuffs should be tertiary until you can bring Sleet (from Ice Mastery) online. Even then, you should lock down your targets first (lest they squirm away). Edited-in Additional Advice: Place the three damage procs Cold Snap can take into it. This will make it a fairly rapid cooldown aoe damage and control power. Not a terrible one to open with but you will take an Alpha even if you land it thanks to how Fears work. Flash Freeze is another decent control to proc bomb, and you can even work a heal proc into the lineup for some extra survivability. Humble Ice Slick is going to do a tremendous amount of work for you. Don't underestimate it. Use it often. Do not slot it for accuracy. The knockdown portion is autohit, and every 0.2 seconds it rolls for an 8% chance to knock an enemy down. If on a budget, just throw recharge into it. The damage portion is probably too low to matter. Ice Mastery is basically a must. Many people won't build a Dom without it, due to how oppressively good Sleet is, but as the poster above mentioned, Frozen Armor (which isn't a bad defense toggle) can be used to make you theme appropriate as well as mule valuable sets. Depending on how much freedom you have for power picks late in your build, Hibernate and Hoarfrost can be good sustainment tools, or even just one-slot mules. Thorns is an interesting beast. It's slow but heavy hitting, with a lot of -DEF which while of course nice for procs, is also helpful when you're in a low-challenge setting for sticking more controls down. Be aware that Thorn Burst is hot garbage; while it does do a lot of -DEF in a wide radius, you're going to animation lock yourself for over 3 seconds for pithy damage. Thorntrops would usually be a skip for me, but layered on top of Ice Slick it would be absolutely hilarious.

Actual feedback to OP's concept: I'd personally prefer if this set was limited in range from level 10-40 with no more than 4 or 5 pieces, so that: It's available to slot early on for players, especially ultra-casual or non-grinding players to enjoy. It does not effectively compete with Provo DSOs, hopefully eliminating concerns from players who feel having something comparable on offer would reduce the enjoyment they'll get out of the game if "the poors" can have something as nice as they've obtained.
