  1. Sure thing, here you go. Click the thumbnail for the full size image.
  2. I feel like the fact that a character named after a famous drug combo having the symbol for Heaven on his chest says something about you. And that I knew it says something about me. 🫠
  3. Gonna be pedantic because I simply hate over generalized descriptions that drop nuance and further, engage in Oreintalism. If none of that matters to you, scroll past. This is not "Asia" in your description. This is South Korea. Baang (excellent romanization) is 방 and is a Korean word meaning literally "room." The companies and their deals were Korean. Chinese developers may have copied the model but skipped PCs for the most part and went right to mobile. In a weird feedback loop, that bounced right back to Korea as well with pretty decent penetrations across Southeast Asia and the US. The Japanese experience is remarkably different. This is why for example FF14 plays and is monetized so differently. Likewise, it fits into the US market so well. Source: Me, a gamer who speaks Korean and Japanese and has lived in both countries for a combination of 7 years (with another 2 more to go).
  4. Eagerly awaiting the Issue where Arachnos becomes a force for good.
  5. Off the top of my head... Abyss Mage-Killer Zuhkara If you want to get liberal with the definition: Darla Mavis Psimon Omega Operative Rutger I'm sure there's more and any implications that I started this thread just to find out who fits in the category is clearly biased slander.
  6. If you've run ITF more than twice and never run Who Will Die, you've robbed yourself. I'd also offer that Pandora's box is a great treat. I'm biased but I get a bigger kick out of the Redside arc because of the implications at the end, but inherently it is a more hero-oriented story. Please play both of these. Read the stories. Enjoy the ride. It feels *way* more like comic books than just mindlessly roflstomping toga wearing exp-bags.
  7. And why is it Crimson Revenant?
  8. The values stack, per City of Data's breakdown of the power.
  9. Finally, time to put the last nail in this coffin. Florentine Diamond, here I come. About to kick down the door to the last mission in the story arc Gone in a Flash from Bobby Curtin. A great Rogue storyline if you love a little mystery and an RP choice at the end.
  10. They don't really fit in with the Giza's aesthetic though, if you look at them closely. From a distance it's all obelisk and pyramid. But up close it's more like Doom Pillar and StarCraft. I bet there's a Rikti Moonbreaker hiding in that big golden box!
  11. Personally I love this and it probably deserves to be its own thread. Considering how superfluous Intimidate is compared to either Pacify or Invoke Panic, this would add a lot to the 'pickabilitiy' of the Presence Pool. It doesn't even have a to be a strong Taunt Aura. Mag 2, with a tohit check. That seems fair. It would open up tons of options besides just giving "scrappers taunt auras," including but not limited to doubling up on taunt auras with AT combos that already run them for a glueball build. And no, I'm not just hyping this idea up cause that's exactly what I want to do with my SR tank that has Unrelenting as a combat heal option. >.> <.<
  12. Title. This is a still image, but the characters are nodding along and occasionally gesturing as if having a conversation. While we're at it, where's our sexy Bobcat Dr. Aeon lounging emote at?
  13. Has anyone ever done an arc (or even just a single mission) where the Golden Giza is actually a powerful super weapon in disguise?. I mean. Just look at it. It's clearly not of this Earth.
  14. Just theorizing here but if you were heavily tohit debuffed by Night Widows and fired the OSA, it might be that your debuffs were copied to entity which may be while OSA is reporting a slew of misses.
  15. Kitted out with sets so you have some marginal protection? Blaster, hands down. Your primary survival mechanic is killing more, faster. Solo, "organic" enhancement acquisition with limited or no set bonuses while leveling? Sentinel is going to feel better. In short, a microcosm of Sent versus Blaster across the spectrum.
  16. The traditions of the old developers was to have inaccurate basic descriptions that gave a false impression of how much damage or recharge the powers actually had in relation to each other. This is the literal stated reason why HC devs started stripping the subjective descriptions out. What you're lamenting is being told something wrong, and wanting it back, jusy because it was simpler to believe the lie.
  17. I voted /Thorns for no real reason than Mind/Thorns was my first Dom on live and depsite having no real clue how to play well, I still loved that character. This thread inspired me to roll a new Mind/Thorns in homage, though her original costume has been improved upon and original name is in use by another player. Luckily I was fortunate enough to come across something I think suits her. So far... surprisingly so good? To really savor those Nostalgia Berries, her firsr 10 levels were solo villain arcs with just dropped enhancements slotted. Now she's almost 12 and I'm treating her a bit. Excited to goof around with Telekinesis. This is a power that badly needs a rework and I think I know a way to make it relevant for current state of play.
  18. Not sure about the Halloween event undead bit that's not universally the case. CoT ghosts for example carry a -30 Psi Res, making them extremely choice targets for Psi damage builds. EDIT: I saw this while playing and it seemed relevant to the question being asked here (which is a fair question!) lore-wise. I think our old pal Ruben sums it up nicely. My pink highlights for emphasis:
  19. I do not, for the same reason you've outlined plus it was beneficial to slot an epic set there since I'd proc'd out a lot of my other attacks.
  20. I have a Psi/Nin I quite enjoy myself and after the changes to Psi I was so impressed with the damage utility of the power that it ended up replacing The Lotus Drops as an additional AoE. The mez effects are nice extras but not important enough alone to warrant usage. I typically like to chain it up after Cyclone, so that by the time mobs are getting back on their feet they are affected by some form of additional mez.
  21. No, sweeping strike is part of the chain SwitchFade laid out.
  22. Headcanon from the game lore: Excelsior's regenerative abilities could allow Fixadine abusers from Praetoria to survive the eventual organ failure from the withdrawals. This is part of a character concept I've had forever to roll a Destroyer-turned-Freakshow, but I'm holding out for actual Freakshow costume parts to be added to the CC. Trying to evoke something similar with the parts we have now feels lame to me. My own Headcanon: A handful of my characters that I don't have solid concepts hail from a distant gladiatorial planet called FIGHTWORLD. It's an obvious homage to Mojoverse and always written in all caps. I've had a lot of fun writing wacky bios for character that are otherwise unanchored to game lore.
  23. The latter. You get around this by having a secondary that allows you to proc out your SS attacks, so the -9999% damage effect on your attacks is mitigated (bio and rad are good sets for this), have a set with excellent baked-in recovery options to make the Endurance crash painless (bio and rad are good sets for this), and use a layered approach to offsetting incoming damage including but not limited to -Str or -ToHit auras, large on-demand absorbs, very high resists, and self-heals (bio and rad are good sets for this).
  24. Unintelligible screeching at the thought of going anything but Musculature Alpha on a Scrapper.
  25. Does anyone know if the sword attacks from Ninja Tool Mastery have the full range of weapon customization available to Katana/Ninja Blade sets elsewhere? Reason: cooking up ideas for a geomancer and a stone sword would be fun, but don't want to get to 35 and find out it's not really a thing.
