  1. Hey shout out to Cobalt Arachne who actually dug into the redside lore and wrote an incredible TF that not only respects what was written but builds on it and its characters (PsiCurse, Becky, King Midas, and love or hate her: Zoe). Sorry to see a bunch of people say it was written poorly. Sucks that apparently nobody paid attention to the perfectly designed cut scenes, the NPC Dialog that is dropped in local when team leads speaks to NPCs, or even look at the souvenir afterward if there's any confusion. Not universal opinions by any means.
  2. There's Freakloks but no Freaklok badge. Maybe something like "Fused Wiring"?
  3. Usually sitting down while at my computer. But, not always.
  4. Nah, this is an easy ignore for me. This isn't a job or a family reunion it's a game. Here to have fun, not be annoyed. Can always undo it afterwards.
  5. Geometry Issue Female > Upper Body > Tight > Gloves > Organic Armor & Organic Armor Thorny (Left Glove) Not immediately obvious, but when looked at up close: Occurs with Thorny or normal types, regardless if Symmetrical Gloves are toggled on or not. Lady Behemoth 0.costumeLady Behemoth 1.costume 0 is with Organic Armor 1 is with Organic Armor Thorny (neither use claws by default)
  6. One of my favorite Blasters is a Psi/Nin with the sword model as a pink tinted energy projection. The ability to juggle Psi vs Lethal damage against mobs is really handy. It's a very narrow ven diagram of enemies that resist both.
  7. Just a reminder that this is a melee AoE power. However, with Call of the Sandman +15% Heal proc slotted, it can be a nice power for shrimping away from a dogpile; sleeps are autohit now. You're really fighting again the tide on trying to avoid melee with Earth Manip.
  8. A literal shot in the dark. (click to enlarge)
  9. There is some really deep lore in the Praetorian NPC profiles. Real Talk Though: I wonder how many of these profiles are tongue-in-cheek insertions by HC staff done under the radar when cleaning the myriad DISPLAY BOSS_INFO that plague(d) the game? All of the named characters in this mission had some pretty amusing bios.
  10. During the in-mission dialog of part 4.1.3.1 of Investigator Whitworth's arc (Imperial City - Loyalist - Responsibility) there's a weird quirk I noticed where the caption refers to me as "Resistance Recruit" rather than my character's name (was in fact playing a Resistance-aligned character). Only occurred once as seen in the example below.
  11. I think @Crasical brings up a good point: the Rogue Isles in game aren't presented as anything other than a really depressing version of the continental US, right down to many of the same villain groups being present. That said, I think there's a lot of room for exploration of ethnic enclave communities like you'd find in the US; the game certainly supports this with a variety of contacts. So if you wanted to derive a patois from one of these backgrounds for your character to be able to employ slang (Etoile Creole, for example) you reasonably could. I do this myself with at least one of my longstanding characters who is a member of the Etoile Cuban expat community. She canonically owns a bodega in Port Oakes that serves as a front for her illicit spellbook "acquisitions" activity.
  12. I like random acts of RP, and this is an essential part of being able to do that in a way that feels rewarding to me. Example: a few hours ago I was on a new Praetorian character bounding across Imperial City and just happened to see a MM suddenly execute a /e growl emote. Being on a somewhat feral-themed character I pounced (😀) on the chance and landed in front of them, executing the same emote like a pair of hissing cats. Went on to do about 30s seconds of immersive RP wherein my character opined on the possibility of the Punk pets being a snack and when that was rejected, went on their merry (but hungry) way. That 30 seconds was way more fun for me, and will be more memorable, than the next 30 minutes of game content I played through. That's what I really enjoy about this game.
  13. As of yesterday started a new run on a goldside character. Nothing serious, just messing around. Immediately leveled to 9 (+0/8 the Marauder missions w/ 2x Exp) and turned exp off. I was able to do all the Nova contacts except Loyalist Power (didn't bother with the side-swapping, just grabbed contacts). Still at level 9 and had no issues grabbing the same alignment-friendly contacts for Imperial City. Probably going to turn EXP back on until level 15 once I'm at the final contacts in Imperial City. /// As an aside Bio is so cracked even as an early armor. Having you mez protection baked into your first two toggles is so wicked. This set just slaps at every stop along the journey. Really glad HC quietly sanded down some of the edges on the NoFX options.
  14. Energy Fonts can be a tough call on Controllers for sure. I think they're useful on setups that utilize AoE stuns since their only attack is an AoE aura with a 30% chance for a mag 2 stun, as well as the negligible damage. Pretty flimsy on its own but can help lock up bosses if you don't get an overpower proc on your Flashfire. Otherwise it may stagger incoming ranged damage from immobilized minions but it's not doing much else.
  15. Not an in-game model that I'm aware off. Looks to be a toy version of the M202 Flash, popularized by it's appearance in the Schwarzenegger movie Commando.
  16. Copy and paste: /bind W "+forward$$powexectoggleon practiced brawler" Now whenever you move forward if Practiced Brawler is off cooldown, it'll cast and stay up between fights. This works thanks to HC removing roots for buffs (the biggest QOL improvement this team has given us IMO). However, if you play with the sound on, you may want to consider a silencing mod for the still recharging "Wom" sound, as you're going to hear it a lot.
  17. Mighty Radial Judgement on weaker mobs. Send an entire platoon to the moon.
  18. Lucas before that, even. The last time I saw the OG films was on my VHS set that was released when they were spruced up with THX. Which was probably over 20 years ago.
  19. This guy in Brickstown should probably not be trying to point the player (set as Vig) to the broker in Nerva.
  20. Howling with delight seeing Savage at S-Tier on Stalkers. Something I always felt but wasn't willing to nug the data out to prove the Helpchat Mob wrong. Otherwise, no real surprises here for me. Glad there's numbers up there to defray all the hyperbole about TW's demise or Brute's lack of a place in the game.
  21. I'm not a Kheldian loremind by any means (actually, I deeply hate them), but after sitting in on several of @TwoDee's Praetoria TED Talks, I'm fairly sure Kheldians don't exist in the Praetorian universe due to being destroyed by the Battalion or some other force.
  22. This was tough for me too cause Power Sink looks like a better End Management tool, but I went with Dark Consumption to slot for set bonuses.
