  1. Hmmm.... I didn't try /stuck because I was able to move around as normal in the area below the map. I'll have to try that next time; thanks.
  2. Sometimes when exiting the door of a building (e.g. police station) during a Safeguard mish, I fall through the map and can't get back up even if I fly. Has happened to me twice so far. Since stopping the bank robbery is the first order of business, this means that no matter how much time is left, exiting and re-entering the mish is not an option, because the game considers the mish complete. I just had 16 minutes left for side mishs, but I couldn't use it. Note that it happens to NPCs as well: I was exiting the Founders Falls police station with 3 PSI Officers in tow, and two of them immediately said I had left them behind, because they had fallen through the hole. Can't recall which other maps or doors have the same problem, but the next time it happens I'll come back and update the thread. If it has happened to anyone else, if you could make a note here of which map and door it would be really helpful.
  3. I'll be happy with new Endgame content if it completes the Incarnate powers and there's a solo option, but I wouldn't want just endgame raids instead of new lower level content in the future, especially where we have few or no options, like Redside -- though I suppose that's a forlorn hope to see the Isles given some love.
  4. I guess lucky random drops, since the normal rewards are threads now (or empyrean merits every 3 vet levels).
  5. You must really be dedicated to get enough shards for that! Where did you get them? I get a random drops occasionally, but never more than a handful in total by the time I have all my T4s. If memory serves, shards were the only Incarnate 'currency' when Incarnate powers first came out and there was only the Alpha slot. As soon as there were more slots, everything could be made with threads.
  6. Thank you! I don't know if it started with this patch, but I've noticed I can't bind any commands to BACKSLASH.
  7. I'd like to see expansion, not revolution. Suggestions above that would drastically change the game worry me greatly. While I agree with most folks that I would like to see more content, such as zones, arcs, or power sets, I am aware this could be a case of 'be careful what you wish for' because I don't have an idea of what the Homecoming devs' vision for the future is. For the most part, I liked what the original devs wanted this game to be. I don't really have a clue of where these devs would take it. So I'd caveat my wish with a desire to first see a general direction. I also like the idea someone had of revamping graphics for the older zones and mobs, a la Atlas Park or the Rikti and CoT back in the day. Also love the idea of completing hanging threads, such as the Incarnate powers or the Coming Storm. In addition, I'll echo the thanks to the devs for doing what they have done so far. Thanks!
  8. I don't mind if others want to rush to max, but I personally love the lower levels and think they go by too quickly as it is. My one worry would be that if everyone could instantly get to max it could (1) make people feel they've 'finished' the game and lose interest or (2) mean that new development starts to skew to endgame trials instead of covering all levels. The second possibility concerns me more than the first.
  9. Yes, but the snipe powers themselves have lost some of their uniqueness, They used to be an interesting specialised power, but now they're just another attack in the middle of a chain. Also: Which means there is less variety amongst blast sets now.
  10. The argument that there can be no loss applies only if people play one character only and compare to the single character someone else is playing. If you play multiple characters the most obvious loss is variety, because all the sets will play more similarly now, which is the point I was making above.
  11. I have to say these two thoughts do resonate with me. Regarding the first, in my experience with MMOs, it seems the more devs try to put 'balance' in the game, the more similar and generic the classes and power sets become. One of the main reasons I like CoX is because replaying the same content with a different AT or power set can feel almost like a different game. I would hate to see this uniqueness eroded any further. The second thought is more far-reaching, but I think it's a really important one. I believe it would benefit everyone if the devs took this into consideration. I'm not claiming either is at the point of Doomtm yet, but I wouldn't want to see this trend of changes to the game accelerate.
  12. Lazy user question: is there a way to make the launcher remember that I like to run in 64-bit instead of defaulting back to 'vanilla' every time?
  13. As with the other Alpha tiers, the powers can be created with shard components or thread components. Scroll down farther and you'll see the thread component options.
  14. Ah, so that's what was happening... Thanks so much for fixing this so quickly! You folks are awesome.
  15. Further update on the RSHIFT situation: I don't know how I got it to work for one character, because it's not working on any others except when I run Safe Mode. Tried going to Safe Mode and manually re-entering the bind, then running 32- or 64- but no luck.
  16. Not sure I understand this. My RSHIFT binds were created before this update and stopped working today, so doesn't that mean they were created in the legacy client?
  17. Update on the RSHIFT issue (and please let us know if we should start a separate thread): Did you folks change something on the server side? I had gone to the Safe client but then a friend asked whether LSHIFT was also a problem, so I switched back to 64-bit without downloading any new files and now both LSHIFT and RSHIFT are working!
  18. Just to add, that's RSHIFT on its own for me that's not being seen, not even as a modifier. Funnily enough, the chat engine does still recognise both L and R Shift for capitalising letters.
  19. Same for me -- I use RSHIFT for Sprint/Super Speed. No longer recognised in either 64- or 32-bit versions.
  20. I've switched back now and it seems to be working again, but note that for some of us the main server was not working for most of this week, so we were forced to continue using the backup.
  21. For 3 I'd say that's how corporate negotiations work. If our side were to disclose all the details of the discussion, I expect a company like NCSoft would find that unprofessional, and it could actually mess up the negotiations.
  22. I'm with the folk who don't see a problem with TOs as they are now. Given that there's a way round this with the DO drops from DFB, doesn't the current configuration provide options so everyone can have a choice? I personally like the progression from TO to IO and don't run the DFB because I already think the early levels go by way too quickly for my taste.
  23. Good luck folks, and thanks for your continued efforts. If this deal works out and City of Titans goes live, it'll be nice to be in a Choice of Two Goods situation instead of the Two Evils I always seem to find myself stuck between irl. I'm also quite curious to know what sort of future development will happen here if the deal is signed. Will we ever get new missions, zones, and/or power sets?
  24. Is there a way to make the forum display dates in the format used by the Regional Settings on the local device?
