  1. They are aware of the issue, but apparently it is a difficult fix so it will take a while.
  2. Any Mastermind player worth his or her salt would keep Afterburner off while in combat, because of secondary and other pool powers that could be used. My level 50+3 MM has Afterburner, but I have not once ever used it in combat because of other powers I need to use, like Sonic Siphon, Sonic Dispersion, Disruption Field, Maneuvers, Tactics, etc. You're seeing something that doesn't happen. And MMs are OPed? Please.

  4. FWIW, Vigilantes can start red side SFs, and Rogues can start blue side TFs and trials. I do it all the time.

  6. As quite a few of us have been trying to tell you, Afterburner is not the problem. It does its job and is fine as is. Your build is the problem. A friend of mine made an Electric/Energy/Cold Blaster build last night out of boredom. The build is not mine to share, but: The damage output is also very decent. So, what you want is easily doable on an Electric/Energy Blaster, without any changes to make Afterburner completely overpowered.
  7. In the mission "Resistance Hostage Situation in Nova Praetoria" from Clockwork A87952, one of the hostages you rescue says, [NPC] Civilian: I love Powers Division1 I'm pretty sure that 1 should be a !
  8. Beam Rifle does almost as much single target DPS as Fire, and does -regen, stun, -def, and -res. Dual Pistols with Incendiary rounds loaded is #4 in single target DPS, and just behind Fire Blast in AoE DPS. (Some people say Dual Pistols does low DPS. Ignore them. They either are not using Incendiary rounds, or they don't have an iota of a clue of what they're talking about.) Assault Rifle actually does a lot of AoE DPS, as does Radiation Blast and Water Blast. So, with the other blast sets, Dual Pistols does good single target DPS, and great AoE DPS. There are other blast sets that do either great single target damage (Beam Rifle), or great AoE damage, (Assault Rifle, Radiation, Water). Then there are your clunkers, (Dark, Energy, etc.), just like melee.

The issue is coming in and suggesting a major change to make a pool power that has been working well for what it does substantially overpowered when there are perfectly viable ways already to achieve what the OP wants to achieve... which is a Blaster with soft-capped defense that can solo missions at +4x1. So yes, the issue is with the OP’s build. That is just a fact.
  10. Yep. TW provides s lot of utility and does more damage than Fire Blast, and 30% more damage than the second highest melee damage power set.
  11. Titan Weapons and Tactical Arrow are being nerfed. Energy Melee and Dark Melee are being buffed.
  12. There are story arc accolades for Nova Praetoria, Mercy Island, Atlas Park, The Hollows, Faultline, Striga Isle, Croatoa, Rikti War Zone, and Dark Astoria. That's it.
  13. Afterburner isn't the fix. Changing your epic pool from Munitions to... well... anything else would be a start. Body Armor is just not good, especially when you're aiming for defense. If you refuse to spend three hours red side for Scorpion Shield, then try Frozen Armor in Cold Mastery. It isn't as good as Scorpion Shield, but it sure is better than Body Armor.
  14. Nope. They are all just Rikti Pylon. Now I am curious to test out the level 54 pylons in the instanced MSR.
  15. Honestly, Afterburner is fine as is. I think that you would be better off posting your build in the Blaster forum and asking for help and pointers there.
  16. Dual Pistols is severely underrated. It comes in about fourth of all blast sets for both single target and AoE damage, with Incendiary rounds loaded. As for what ATs, the DP/Kin Corruptor you are leaning towards is very good. As is Time/DP Defender, DP/Martial Blaster, and DP/Temporal Blaster.
  17. Uhh... If your Blaster is struggling to solo at -1, then you have more build problems than Afterburner, to be blunt. When not farming, I like to solo at +3x8 (as there really is not much difference between the two other than taking more time at +4) sometimes, and my Blaster can do that just fine.
  18. I use Afterburner all the time. It is not meant to be used in combat. It is meant for travel. The extra defense is to make you harder to hit while traveling. I use Afterburner anytime while traveling outdoors.

  20. They are not better, but they are just as good now. As for power sets, same as Brutes. Fire/Rad and Fire/Spines would be the big two.
  21. Doctor Proteus hosts a daily zone MSR at 3 P.M. ET/12 P.M. PT, and there is a daily Hamidon raid in The Hive every evening. The official start time for it is 10 P.M. ET/7 P.M. PT, but I understand that it can start about fifteen minutes earlier as The Hive tends to fill early.
  22. One bonus for Brute is that you aren’t expected to take Taunt, unlike Tankers. Every single character I make has to have Fly, Hover, Afterburner, Super Speed, and Hasten. It makes builds extremely tight, and most times there is just no room for Taunt.
  23. FWIW, I am giving a Staff/Electric Armor Brute a try. You can see my build for it here. I have to say though that needing to slot three knockback protection IOs feels really, really dumb and redundant. That’s 27 points of knockback protection on the ground, and takes up two enhancement slots that can be used elsewhere.
