  1. The problem I have with rest, it takes too long to activate, often by the time it activates, I already healed up! Making this ability moot. Not sure how you improve such a lame ability to be frank, maybe let you rest while you hover, delete the auto hit me feature, etc.
  2. Up front... I can expect this suggestion to not be an easy thing to accomplish, but could be along term objective. I remember when doing some missions, I could go an blow up cars, get those pesky parking meters and what not So it occurs to be, what if as we do stuff in a TF or mission, that collateral damage is tracked of and given an inf value, which would be deducted from the guilty character's influence, to simulate the adventurer paying for the damage. I can see to use this also as a means to have a Reputation level, there would be the Hero and Villain reputation, as you complete TFs the Merit Value would go towards the counter, minus the collateral damage you did along the adventure, players could invest merits to increase their Hero or Villain reputation, Villains get their badness increase by doing SFs and in their case blowing up stuff and doing collateral damage goes a long way towards having a baddie reputation Just an idea...
  3. I been thinking of a Corruptor and these power sets would be nice for the story behind her
  4. I actually, like the idea of them being on the map, so when folks asks for help such as Babbage in Sky, would make it easier to help the team
  5. Please open your mind, but you see to be committed against the request, so why open your mind? You artificially make the rule that the IO set has to be full to be useful at low levels, how convenient of you to make this assertion! There are procs, and sets start giving bonuses at 2 IOs of the set, but you conveniently chose to ignore that, to make your petty point. Love your assumption of players being dumb, it works for you, does it not? You have the audacity to say "I can't imagine a player being aware of IO enhancement sets... Many of us use Mids and we know what IO becomes useful and there are the procs which are useful all by themselves. In your own closed mind, you make it a problem
  6. It may a bit odd, but why not have all IOs be usable at very low level, say 7. Now many may wonder, why do this? Many of us, go many levels with slots totally empty, till we get to level 30 for some IOs, but often we do not bother till 50 to IO up our slots. But if those IOs can be slotted as early as 7, it would allow many to start slotting early and have alts that would be much more able to actually support in the fight, as opposed to be in full leach mode. Just a thought...
  7. Remember even for normal threads, the game requires you to have done some portion of the entire thread in order to get the rewards, you may get the badge but not much else, unless you done a portion of the thread. I really don't know what that portion is. I have helped players and only done the last mission, and got no rewards for it.
  8. Just a Quality of LIfe suggestion... Whatever you do in Oro, it becomes a TF, your alt is stuck with it, can't do another thing while in the TF, can't replace players, and essentially all the restrictions when in a TF, when essentially only doing missions from a thread. Why not change the missions in Oro, to be as dumb as it may sound to be just missions? And now for the negative Karens....
  9. If you can have the courtesy to read a few posts above, you will see I confirmed you can have six slots on a level 49 power, but why bother reading when you can be insulting
  10. Would cautious use of the option/general/disable exp help with the leveling too quick?
  11. Thanks, your need to be condescendent is overwhelming, but I know this makes you feel real big, does it not?
  12. MidsReborn does allow a 49 level power to have all 6 slots
  13. The problem of doing what you correctly suggest, is that the last power you buy, tends to be a lame one IO set wise
  14. True, but still, it does not cleanly address the issue, it is a work around, there truly should be 6 level 50 slots
  15. This is a useless response, respec does nothing in resolving the last power you buy to be stuck at 3 slots
  16. I tend to agree with the overpower comment, yet when I send the pets ahead, I always get mezzed by a ranged attack somehow...
  17. You make a good point there, but as I described in my post, Brutes were a needed compromise between Tanks and Scrapers by design needs. I do not agree with making Brute CC be more powerful than Tanks, for now you are making Tanks irrelevant because the Brute is not significantly less resistant than Tanks; have better CC ; and, their damage is much better! So why play a tank after all? I really can't see how to make the Brute distinctive and not risk making the tanks or scrapers pointless
  18. Interesting post, thinking back to the days of live, where you played either blue or red, the red side team had to had a tank for obvious reasons, since the blue classes were not available on red side to choose from as it is now. So the Brute had to be made to satisfy the role of tank, it did considerably more damage than the humble tank, but it also was not as resistant as a true tank, and thus a sense of balance. I do not advocate for the changes you propose, they are not needed. I do not use Brutes as tanks at all, if I wanted to tank, I play a tank. Instead I see Brutes as ultra tough scrappers, and if you look at AE farmers, the majority of them are Brutes which should be telling you something exciting about them.
  19. When powers are used, in the norm, you can see a graphic originating at you and then traveling to your intended target, which allows the mob to know it was you! I am mystified at how mobs knows you are the master of your pets when attacked and then go after you, how they know it was me in a team of eight players? But I digress... With indirect powers, say you lightning bolt instead of emanating from you starts at a power pole or some other object, so that there is no way for the mob to know you struck it and then aggroe you. If you are the only other thing in the area and they get zapped a third time, then they can add the pieces and deduce its you. This would be a fun power with funny outcomes
  20. I like the idea, since I use mids, I know what my ultimate build is going to be. If I can slot those IOs as early as possible, it makes my alt more competent and less of an exp leech as I progress. I do not buy IOs to later dump them to the trash as I am sure my detractors gonna be preaching at me, telling me that was the way the game was designed to be and I should play the game just they way they want me to
  21. Making any tank stealthy can be done with the purchase of celerity stealth and then from the speed pool, select super speed and you there. What attracts me from Ninjutsu is that it is a well balanced power set that has self heal, self endurance, and stealth is just a cherry on top.
  22. Only a request, but could a defense set of ninjutsu be made for tanks and brutes, scrapers gets the choice.
  23. Melee at the moment are very important in a team, in fact they tend to be the star in this action movie. The change to allow them to affect themselves, is a logical one, but despite that they can buff themselves, they will hardly become more survivable than melee who were in the PBAOE and are enhanced themselves by as much (so the power differential in favor to the melee remains), all is happening is the degree of brittleness and at times helplessness is decreased for the support. Let me provide an example, say an emp PBAOEs clear mind, the Defender goes from a protection of 0 to 4, while the Tanks 12 rises to 16, I just can't see how anyone claims the defender became tougher than the tank.
  24. Now we are making progress, you do not want all ATs to be equally powerful, despite they would accomplish it in different ways? Just because ATs are equally powerful, does not mean their contribution is identical to any others, just equal in effectiveness. Have you considered, if the ATs were truly balanced, equal, where a controller has the 50/50 chance of beating a tank for example, then PvP would not need weird biased balancing acts, and could be a true go in and get it done, sounds like fun ah?
  25. So by your standards, if I buy a house and then experience a lot of power failures from the utility company, you would find it curios to petition the utility company to address the issue? The truth to the matter, is that we are fortunate enough to be in a living game, a game that evolves and changes, with many not being able to see the picture on how it has changed. Let me assist... During live days, melee could solo but only to an extent before they would need support to buff them up and heal them, after the inception of IO Sets melee could use IOs and address their relative shortfalls and now they comfortably can solo missions at +4/8, and solo very gifted players can solo at those settings entire TFs! Rendering their use for support moot. I myself go to ITF at +4/8 brake out of the group and take a different tunnel and open a can whoop ass while being quite safe, despite their defense debuff! and after the incarnate system was implemented, it made my melee even more awesome. Now from the support perspective, the star trek equivalent of red shirts in the game. With the introduction of IO sets, made them much more survivable, not nearly as well as melee, but very survivable, I have no issue doing ITF at +4/8 with my storm/dark defender and have no issues soloing portions for the mere fun of it. With the introduction of incarnates my DPS for my defender became reasonable. When you think what is was like back then and is now, it should be obvious the game has changed. In the old days, the developers had a mentality that melee did the dirty work and the support, well did just that. As a result protections and what not went to the dirty worker camp, which made sense, and the "extras" needed none and thus got none. The initial architecture, made sure there was an inter dependency between melee and support, melee was tough but not totally tough and support if they wanted to survive they had to ensure their tank was well at all times. Today there is no such interdependency, which I actually applaud, for it allow the support classes to aspire to be more than just support, mere extras in this movie. by the inception of IO sets, they enabled the new transition of game play. So what I usually advocate for is for the next step in the evolution of the game, so that the support classes who were "nurfed" by design to be brittle so they would focus on being, just that, support focused to the melee. Yet, now that role is no longer as important as it used to be. I am not saying that doing support functions is needless and unimportant, they are very valuable when done wisely but it is frankly not a full time job, after you bubbled and buffed the melee, what do you do next? What you do now, is to contribute to the overall DPS in the manner your class has you set, for instance most holds do damage, so not only are you helping by controlling the field, you are also adding significant damage with the IO sets that empowered you to do! In conclusion the game is evolving, why resist a good thing and support its evolution? A more capable support alt only makes the team even more capable, so what is so wrong with that? Why prevent it?
