Look, I am sure there was a time, say in the 1920's that Candy Corn was considered good, I mean you could put sugar on just about anything back then and call it candy. But in 1942 when FDR mandated that corrugated cardboard and pencil shavings be used for the war effort instead of for making candy corn, that was when it should have faded as a candy. But then again that WAS the last time it was actually manufactured, they are still trying to get rid of the surplus.

Caleb. BatZul. Baphomet. Maybe King Midas since his candy company, being aligned with evil, is most likely making wretched Candy Corn.

What are these arrows under character names?
High_Beam replied to FFFF's topic in General Discussion
Wow. I have been playing this game since day 1 live and I have never actually noticed those arrows, I always used color. I am still amazed that after all this time I can learn something new that is old. Thanks. -
Why am I thinking of Lt. Savik when I see this character here. Peak Kirstie Ally.

How many loops can you pop in your 512 cable?

I cannot be angry at this. Considering some of the modern crap I have been forced to sit through as of late . . . cant be angry.

I have a DP/MC and a DP/Nin (as well as a DP/Rad a DP/EA Sent, a Time DP DEF) but focusing, MC and Nin both play well to the close up fast nature of DP. Overall MC is far more stylistic and some great mitigation tools, but DP feels like its more damaging with the blade attacks. Tricked out with Set IOs I have loads of fun with them both but again, MC comes out slightly ahead.

Regarding inspirations I generally refer to their color alone except resurrection which are wakies. Break Free regardless of tier is break free. As for not using them. Well the game is easier so there's that. and a lot of sets are more powerful than they used to be or should be so there's that. I almost always sell all orange, red, yellow inspirations, regardless of size. generally maintain a lot of purple and green and for my endurance abusers blue.

In game, story-wise I never had beef with any of them and I never associated real life people's personalities with their characters personalities other than those that I had direct interaction with (i.e. Positron and War Witch). I liked most of the phalanx characters and their sidekick Squad the Vindicators. I liked Statesman, iconic, heroic; he shouldn't have been killed the way he was. I did not care for Psyches obsession with Platforms (wretched cheat of a shoe). Synapse, Numina and Bastion/Citadel were fillers and Positron was the Task Force you hated back in the day not Synapse and thus I developed this weird sadistic respect for Posi. The Phalanx was set as a template even if they were dated, they were a thing for which your character could aspire to or to be greater than. The release of CoV messed that up and there are still times when I wish it had never happened; just given us new zones to play in and the new ATs. CoV diminished the story and the heroism of the Phalanx and the game as a whole. This is how I feel. But the game moved forward and thus heroes leave but i will always like the Phalanx, old and new and proudly wear my Badge

The checking is based on one of two things. The actions of the player in question or what I am about to try and run. WRT the actions of a player, well the signs are obvious, not knowing how to get from point A to Point B. Not knowing zones, not knowing enemy types, not knowing general team terminology, the list is massive. But sometimes the player is a real new player, I pull up their card, see their level and can use badges as a gauge. A lower level guy with no Positron 1 or 2 yet you see badges corresponding to doing things that don't relate to accolade hunts (Negotiator, Shining Stars, Lords of Death Arc) they tell me that the player is just inexperienced and should be helped and informed. When I am running a Task/Strike Force or something similar, and there are parameters (we are going for X badge or have challenge settings such as no deaths) I use badges to determine depth and breadth of play experience. Someone who knows more than to just be a sitter, knows the variables of their powers and adjusts accordingly. Sure there are PL'd characters out there that play extremally well, awesome. But in general, fresh from the farm 50s are shit. Do I look at every card for badges? No! What you do is on you and not my business. We all judge and catalog, things and people. It is human nature; it is society. Its what we do after we catalog that defines good or bad. I don't go around calling players out for being X or Y, my opinion about them means nothing to anyone else. I keep it in my pocket and it goes away when I do the wash because I don't make the rules beyond who I choose to play with. And for clarification, when I say lower level task forces, I mean any of the TF/SF that exemplars you down below level 50.

Yeah PI and KW are you best opportunities to catch the Deadly Apocalypse Banners in large part because there a metric butt ton of players there. I caught one in Talos last year and a King's Row this year but it was in part because a ZOMPOC happened so there was a crowd already there. I don't worry about the ZOMPOC badges cause those happen when it isn't Halloween as well. Thus I focus on banners, Kaine and Tips. I wish you nothing but good luck in the future though.

I use badges to determine that 🙂 I know others have pointed out their lack of trust in it but when I see a 50 with no Lower level TFs or their defeat badges are low or they have less than a dozen explore badges, they are suspect. I use that information for nothing other than my own purposes. I don't go trying to eff with them and since I don't have a say in certain aspects of the game, I only express my opinions about it in depth when it is appropriate.

While I joked earlier, I will say that for a very long time on live, I clocked a lot of hours running my main High Beam, an Energy/Ice Blaster in a duo with my best friend in game Doctor Finetush who was an Empathy/Psychic Defender. Deb and I were a wrecking crew and thus developed some of my fondest memories or the game and of course of small team dynamics. She would keep my mind clear and filled with fortitude and I just blasted the living shit out of everything. Is it perfect for everything, or course not and very much not for AV killing cause no real debuff action but we were never for want of a fun session and often a great aftermath of "whew that was close, it's miller time" moments. So to me, the perfect Duo is an Energy/Anything Blaster and an Emp/Anything healer.

What?

I would love wind control. But then again I would have to hear a bunch of people bitch and moan about knockback which would cause it to be removed thus making a power that involves high winds blowing things around to not be windy, thus making the power simply blow. I mean the shit storm of crying about KB when Storm Blast was being developed, another power revolving around weather tearing shit up just sucked.

You never want these guys on your pizza, also they have pineapple in their pockets so doubly pizza-offensive.

Zombie Apocalypse - zombies not spawning

Stopping Todd McFarlane reduces spawns as well. -
My duo would be a the two Trinities . . . Carrie Anne Moss and Terrance Hill. A pair of pistol Blasters. They would probably die fast but it would be glorious.
