  1. While I agree that the Warriors seem underwhelming, I disagree with the people who say they need to go.  While there may be a minimal reference to the bad film from the eighties, they are in fact ground heavily in greek mythology.  But now I have to do the spoiler thing because a lot of story arcs actually give depth to the Warriors.

    Spoiler

In the Bonfire Plot, they are part of the Hellions-Outcasts-Warriors plot to distribute magical artifacts.  They are significant parts of the Mortimer Kal Task Force and if anyone bothered to actually run it vice speed run it in 8 minutes, they would see that there is character development with regards to the leader of the Warriors.  Also you see the conflict between them and the Tsoo in general in Talos as well as in the Redemption of Alexander the Great Arc.  Now if you want to do something with this group instead of saying I don't like fringe jackets and swords and actually make things better.  Improve the story arc that ties them with the lower tiered guys like they did with Lords of Death Arc, which again if you did Bonfire lets you in on the Skulls-Trolls-Family structure for Superadine distribution.

So understanding that you could easily ramp them up to some pushing and shoving with the Midnighters (again).

As for the Freakshow, I find no group more appropriate and fitting to both this game and in many ways reality.  Their chaos is glorious and the issue of body modification and how far should it be taken is a thing.  They honestly don't need a lot of tweaking.  Maybe more visibility from their other AV class leaders like Bile and Drek instead of another day of Clamor.   How about random day raves like the trolls but far more.  Remember, they are integrated into the Zig Breakout event in Bricks.

Legacy Chain - Yeah I totally need them to expand on them, the good guy versions of the Circle of Thorns.  They would be a good avenue to work on.

@UltraAlt makes good points about not needing to totally revamp a group but add additional spice.  I for one liked the expansion of female enemy models (thought Female Crabs still look weird).  Death Dolls and female Skulls was good.  Girlfriend from Hell (the Death Doll equivalent) needs to be followed with regular female Hellion creeps.  Similarly I feel that the Freakshow is missing out on female anarchists.  I mean literally there is only Clamor.  Trolls are just Superadine addicted idiots so why aren't there female addicts there?  I am not waving the gender equality for everything flag here, some groups clearly would exclude women for a variety of historical or thematic reasons (the Family, the Warriors, Nemesis) but the Tsoo?  Chinese's mythology and epic stories are rife with women flying around on wires cutting people up with blades (and yes I know Tub Ci is Vietnamese) but the lore says Triads.

That sounds about right. I’ve been caught in the middle of them a couple times. I sorta like them. Reminds me of dem old daze, when I’m sitting there between solo mishes and boom—bunch purps roll by from someone else’s high level mish. I imagine we get less of these since regular mishes aren’t run as much?

I know right.  Funny too because back on live there were cats who would run around cleaning up abandoned ambushes.  Freaked me out when I was like level 20 in Steel Canyon and a level 50 Devouring Earth ambush came tear assing by.  But the best was we Babes of War were having our Sunday meeting in Skyway and out of nowhere, some cats level 50 Malta ambush just staggers into the midst of the Hottie Heroines Lingerie Pillow Fight . . . I mean SG Meeting.  Too funny.  Taught Vrabel's boys a lesson in fashion, and faceplanting.

Actually, I might've been thinking of Synapse and not Pos. The teams so seldom bother fighting them, they're pretty much inconsequential.

Well on Synapse, one ambush roll sin when you get the Defeat XX Clockwork usually in Steel Canyon.  Sometimes 1/4 of the kill can be handled in that ambush.

On a couple of Citadels we caught the Ambush at door exit because all TT were charging but close.  Maybe while waiting for Fareed talk as well.  Fuzzy.

  4. There is an ebb and flow to my game play build in part on time in RL.  Some days or weeks I have lots of time and will clock big hours.  Other times I will go days without even logging on.  Now I don't have hundreds of alts.  In fact I have a grand total of 17 level 50's and 17 more ranging from the mid 20's to the high forties.  A few were when new powers came out (Seismic Blast, Symphonic Control, Storm Blast).  Others were because I liked DP and tried several other combos of that.  A few were rebuilds of characters from Live.

I do not farm.  if that works for you, awesome, I am not trying to start a thing.  But I don't so that means I am able to gradually level up due to the aforementioned not on all the time thing.  Once there as others have said I can find more than enough ways to be entertained.  Only two 50's are full-on Tier 4 Incarnates, the rest are all over the map.  I have One Badge Hunter but also try to work the general content badges on all of the as time passes.  Recently it was a two week binge of soloing all of the 50's through the Maria Jenkins Arcs and Tinas "Other Praetorian badge need" missions for Portal Doodle.  Others do Flashbacks thematically, one magic another tech.

Then of course there is the team action, with the Nukems or with a PUG or speed runs with Blapperella.  There is more than enough content to keep me from being burned out.

And then I start writing stories; six books totaling more than 600 pages per book based on my Munitions Mistress and her evolution which includes those characters I play in game.

Its why I will never find myself in a position where I cannot think of anything more to do.

  6. With very few exceptions, I always take a travel power.  Of those travel powers I take flight (including the Mystic Flight variant) the most, probably 5-1, followed by Super Jump then Teleport.  I have zero Super Speed though I have one character with that super speed from the Experimentation pool which is super faster than super speed (feels that way).

Yes they are. You get enough of them all kitted out, all running on the same team, it's just a snoozefest. BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! (my turn again?) BOOM! (Hey--someone wanna snipe that runner the...thanks...)

And sometimes, never use your alpha, anyone.

  8. My technique with my DP/MC Blapper is target the Boss, use Burst of Speed which is slotted with Procs, then unload Hail of Bullets with the defense buff.  Then snap off Burst of Speed two more times to get extra bump damage, then execute Eagles Claw while flipping backwards out of the mob then unloading Empty Clips then Bullet Rain.  Very little remains standing is at all.  With Ninja, I don't have BoS but its generally the same, swapping Eagles Claw with Golden Dragonfly.  Very defensible especially with Set IOs and leveraging the +DEF from Hail.  Di Di Guns and Two Gun Trixie have very few problems.
