Finally gonna remake my main from live. What’s the best attack chain? And where to put the crit proc chance? Money no issue. It’s /sr if that matters. Prefer no snipe.

If I didn’t have a spines/bio scrap I’d do that. I just made bio/claws and it’s fun so far.

Yes, I don’t solo at all and usually play with full teams. I like the MMO aspect.

If you right click it it doesn’t say it does, but if you click on info and scroll it does do it, my bad.

Think storm cell doesn’t do -to hit. It’s minus movement and recharge I believe. Guess cat5 isn’t as bad as I made it out to be. If it wasn’t for the snipe animation I’d probably have already dropped the set honestly.

Yes, the playstyle I’m looking for in a blaster primary is to blast them to death quickly. Not use 3-5 powers together to juggle them around while they maybe die and don’t shoot back at me too much, while the rest of the team is two groups ahead.

I’ve had a few other blasters and sentinels. Buildup nuke dead. Not let’s place storm cell, the cat5, they shooting back now btw, then intensify, then some more attacks, all the while they still shooting at you. Secondaries obviously matter. Mine is /earth on blaster. Coupe melee for when they get close and aura that adds slow.

Yes. By the time you do that stuff and it builds up, mobs are dead unless it’s an av. Im using as right as I can, it just straight sucks.

First blaster, or any toon with a ranged attack set as primary or secondary, that I’ve ever gotten the t9 attack and wanted to respec out of it. Just an absolute shit power. Just let that sink in. You get a t9 power, slot it up, and even then want to get rid of it. And Jet Stream sucks too. I get the point of jet stream, but it just doesn’t work. If mobs are just a bit outside of the storm cell they are launched way out. Cat5 just sucks though.

The best part of this game is that yes, you can do whatever you’d like. Toon might not be top tier. Toon might not even be what the class is designed to do (looking at you shitty tanks/brutes without taunt). No choices you make will hinder your ability to do 95% of this game’s content. Can still do the other 5% too but will he hurting your team instead of helping it. Run psy without the swords. It will still be fine. I think the other attacks look cooler anyway.

Iirc, hurricane is only good if you stay away from the group at all times and it just replies stuff that gets close to you. Or stay on top of an AV for the -to hit debuff as they resist the repel anyway.

My blaster is ar/ta and sent is ar/fire. Latter is a "theme" toon. Other is too I guess, but I love oil slick arrow then flame thrower and full auto.

Also, what keeps me interested in a character isn’t if it’s the best, or highest damage, or most survivable. It’s the theme around the toon, the concept, the combination of power sets. This is somehow true even though half my toons have the same outfit on. Play what is fun. If sucks at at first it will get better later as you get more IOs in more powers and start getting the great procs as mentioned. Unless it is /regen they it will likely still suck but I’ve heard can still be fun but I don’t see how.

Dark/sr is the answer. Maybe dark/inv. Dark something for sure just cause of the -to hit and the heal.

Yes and yes. Can’t use purples or superiors if it was a lvl build. Low level content easy anyway but I always have a lowbie to play that.

Just an update for anyone looking later. Took it for a spin on 54 ITF. Did great. Lotta fun. I like the whip powers more than anything else really. Switched one of the melee snows for the proc, and the defense pvp IOS were for some reason 20 million so I just did more reactive defense. Anyway, thanks again for the help.

sweet. Working on it now. Will loosen up other rechafge bonuses too. A lot of this I have no idea what I was thinking either. Probably a budget build at the time. I don’t care about budget anymore. I got plenty laying around now. I’ll post again once I finish up.

I guess my initial point was that now that you can slot the pets with resistance, I was trying to do that to up survivability but not lose the pet procs and set bonuses to keep hasten and then the time buffs perma. There are for sure somethings I plan on changing on the build, but very unfamiliar with best ways to do MMs.
