I’ve always been a fan but of Elec Affinity, but haven’t run it yet. Was looking at a Defender, but I hear some people swear by it on MM’s. Is that because of how busy it is?

This has me curious, because I feel like Elec/DM could be a fairly meta combo. I’ve seen some wreck shop in HM/Aeon stuff. For META, would you say it’s pretty much Rad/, Bio/ or bust? I also hear Fire Armor is pretty friggin good because you can ramp damage and you just have a team behind you buffing the defenses/resists. @Spaghetti Betty has a Fire/SS build I believe that is monstrous.

My Gambit is Staff/Energy Aura stalker with Weapon Mastery. The shuriken/exploding shuriken fit in just fine as his cards =P

First off, that animation made my day 😂 Secondly, that is pretty much the EXACT reason I ran Elec/DM. Honestly it just keeps going and going and going with the endurance refills and heal. Just tough as nails with good damage as well. My thought for Dark Armor/Elec Melee would be more just going all in on AOE/aggro control. The idea of stacking disorients with OG and Lightning Clap is nice. Not sure how it’d work in function though.

The inverse of what I’ve run. I’ve always wondered what would have a bigger upside: Elec Armor/Dark Melee or Dark Armor/Elec Melee. Both fulfill the same concept. @Infinitum @Onlyasandwich @Hyperstrike @Spaghetti Betty I summon thee! 😂

So I’ve been digging Electric powersets. I guess I just like the theme/aesthetics. I usually like pairing it with something else, typically a Dark set. For example, my current leveling hero is an Elec Control/Dark Assault Dominator that @Onlyasandwichthrew together. Love the feeling of power it gives and being surrounded by cracking energy. My other recent project was an Elec Armor/Dark Melee Tanker and I’ll tell you what…. The thing seems unkillable 😂 What other electric power sets in the game do you love that truly make you feel like a lightning/thunder God? Obviously I have to throw some love out there for Electric Melee 😂

This was a cool run Ston! What other sets do you feel pair well with Kinetic Melee other than Shield? I've ran quite a few Shield heroes myself haha. On a Tanker, it seems quite procable. Maybe something that can hit resists fairly easily, like Elec Armor or Dark Armor.

Wow, just.... wow. This seems like a beast of a combo lol. Such dmg for a Tanker. Dark Mastery seems sweet on it.

You’d just have to do the idle stance with the pool cue 😂

This is a really cool call out as well! Honestly it’d be one of my favorite ways to go about the toon if you could do SOMETHING with a Staff. Still absolutely works without the staff though.

I mean, yeah, but good thing you can build psi resists, right? And yeah, that’s one thing but everything else seems to fit just right. There is no specific “Gambit” secondary, so you have to go with what OP feels is most thematic. To each their own.

While I agree that SR definitely works, I would disagree that Energy Aura doesn’t make sense. Part of Gambit’s powers is static interference and vibration emission, both of which are basically protective energy auras his body exudes. Also, I think Stalker is the best fit. Gambit was originally part of the “Thieve’s Guild” which adds to his rogue like nature. Stalker fits that. Gambit can also still scrap it out, which Stalker’s can do as well.

Awesome build, as always Sov. Bio/Fiery might be one of the most min/max builds in the game. I actually think it’s cool conceptually as well.

I’m interested in this combo as well. My only worry is it seems like it’d be REALLY busy.

Calling @InvaderStych to discuss Kat/Rad with Sov 😂 I know it’s one of your main combos, right up there with Psi/Shield.

True, it just ended up working out that way as I finished the set. Maybe I’ll drop a piece and fit in a proc instead!

Thanks for all the advice. I took out the FF proc from Shield Charge and was able to pick up a bit more AOE defense for the build, bumping it up to 51.6%. I moved one slot from True Grit over to Active Defense so I could drop another recharge IO in it.

@Psiphon @EnjoyTheJourney Thank you both! I was kicking around the idea of moving another slot over there so I could fit in another recharge IO. I'm going to mess around with the build and see what slot makes most sense!

Hi all! Since I (finally) have mids, I've been playing around with my builds rather than just flying by the seat of my pants 😂 I love DM/Shield and the synergy it brings, and this is what I'm currently running. Some notes: I wanted to have soft capped positions, capped S/L resist and decent damage. I definitely gave up some proc opportunities. I also went with the new Psi Epic pool to grab Harmonic Mind to help with endurance a bit and further justify the Musculature Radial Alpha choice. I felt that I had enough AOE with Shield Charge, Shadow Maul and a proc'd out ToF (thanks @SomeGuy!) Anyways, would love suggestions or any ideas/easy fixes where I can improve. I went Dual Blades/Energy Aura for my Jedi Master: Ricad Muoak. Just make sure you give them a Star Wars name 😉
