  1. @FUBARczar Now that Krimson said this, I also remember testing Dark/Sonic Defender vs Sonic/Dark Corruptor. The Defender kills faster. This is now before the next issue is released. Now only are you more tanky but your resists debuffs are stronger thus the dmg greater. Amazingly, this is a stronger case for Nature/Sonic Defenders. Here the gap in favor of Defenders is greater, as of right now. Nature's dmg buff is stronger, then you have resistance debuff in Nature Add that to a Defender's resistance debuff in Sonic (stronger) The gap in dmg is again in the Defender's favor. As you know, I have a Nature / Sonic defender. Defensively and offensively it is stronger than a Corruptor Another case is Poison/Sonic Defender - I don't think I need to type here why that is. So, proven already 1) cold / sonic defender as of now beats a Corr 2) Dark /Sonic defender as of now beats a Corr 3) Storm is likely to be stronger than a Corr but I have not done any testing here We will see when the new release is out. Defenders in next issue, without the nuke can have 44% resistance debuff just from Sonic blast , still higher than the rest, but smaller that what it is now.
  2. None of my Defenders are AoE dmg focused. My dark/rad is the only one that has decent AoEs. But, I don't have a corruptors with Dark Miasma with T4s ready to take the test. The Dark Corruptor I have is Dark/Elec and Elec is a far superior blast set than Radiation is. So, sadly I cannot compare well. Now , a storm defender and a storm corruptor would be a strong comparison because Defender Storm primary is better than a Corruptor's , especially the pets. Before the next issue is released, as of right now, a Cold/Sonic Defender is doing more damage than a sonic/cold corruptor. The debuff numbers are just too much of an advantage there, SIGNIFICANTLY so.
  3. I also want to add that I don't see enough earth assault dominators , I had 3 in live. That's a very SMASHy assault set, fun.
  4. An upper mid size team of 6 3 Plant/Storm controllers 2 Storm defenders 1 Storm Master Mind The Chaos was relentless The carnage was unstoppable The fun was timeless
  5. Both are good. Water and Ice , both go very well with storm. Either one will seriously be just as fun and strong.
  6. Player @CyberBishop2 (or) @Cyberbishop had an idea that he's been doing for some time. His idea to farm experience and money while doing something different was to do Lady Gray's Task Force, and do only part 1. The mob density was good, the challenge was definitely felt. The Rikti alliens do present a good challenge for any range character without armor.
  7. Doing easy content, dmg is king above all else. You can even say that even the corruptor is replaceable by just another blaster, unless it is a kin. As you climb up the difficulty ladder, those defenders start making their powers felt or their strengths felt more and more.
  8. This was done in conjunction with a very balanced team which had excellent support. The previous video was this same Defender with no incarnates. This time he has all Tier 4 incarnates and so we did two levels higher of 801, before we did a 6 and now we did an 8. Also, we finished this 801 with only 6 members and we started with 7. Well, actually we finished with 5. One went afk for a LOOOOONG time.
  9. I like the attacks except the loooong animations ones. The heal I have to take, so... I have not had an issue with the heal hitting, usually I aim for a target that has been debuffed.
  10. But this post is about this build at 50 for these and other similar challenges. On your road to 50, you are free to use inspirations vs mez. Nature has your own heals covered
  11. You don't have to apologize so much, friend. To clear up, this is indeed about the Trapdoor test. The Trapdoor test was taken with a build I use for general gaming. So I did take the test with just a build that was not made specifically or solely to take the test. If I took the test with a build solely for the Trapdoor then perhaps some changes were to be done.
  12. Not the same procs if not the same powers. Also, exactly what IOs are in build , well, that changes according to the builds and what numbers I am trying to reach. I can only fit procs if, and only if, I meet my defensive standards for the task ahead. I never use Living Shadows in any of my builds I will use the ST immob depending on build. Some builds for easy content, if not all builds for easy content, they can afford to assign slots for heavy use of procs. As the content gets more and more difficult, the room for procs, the slots for procs, well, they diminish. Makes sense now ?
  13. You see, I don't do builds for testing. There are many players who make builds specifically to take these tests. I don't do that. So, to answer the question... with another question, "Effective for what, to do what?" To do what I do in game, not viable since not enough power slots for me.
  14. The build used for Hard mode LR SF and the build used for Hard Mode ITF are different. Different enemies different dangers different dmg types, among other things. Also, another thing to keep in mind. Everyone who ask me for builds is asking without the intent to solo these task forces in hard mode. They are players wanting to do the easy stuff in the game, which is radios, or regular contacts, story arcs, and doing full teams of of lvl 50 task forces and so on. That's the easy stuff in the game. TO do the easy stuff of the game which is what the vast majority of players do, the build requirements or considerations are different. You can do more proc have builds for the easy stuff. heavy proc builds is asking for constant face planting as you approach higher and higher difficulty levels or tasks. The more difficult things you seek to do in the game, the more defensive you need to be, as you get more defensive , then the less offense you may have in your build as a dominator. IN other words, proc builds will nerf themselves as you do harder stuff. None of my builds that I use to do the most difficult of things for my doms, none of them are proc heavy.
  15. To take Burnout, you need additional picks from the Speed pool. There are not enough power picks for me to do that. Also, invest 2 more additional speed pool powers for just a test?? I am using a build I use all the time for a lot of other content, hard mode content. There are builds to just take a test and there are builds to do everything else. Feel me ?
  16. At lvl 49 you have no incarnates. So incarnates are not going to do anything for you. Once you are 50 you can unlock incarnates. So what are you getting at ?
  17. But since Nature should never have any endurance issues at all , so no need for Ageless, then go for Clarion, or even better, go for Clarion Radial. Should have no mez issues with either option.
  18. The upcoming changes will not affect Nature defenders. At least, I don't see how. Also, in the 801 mission above, without me having any incarnates, my role was support, buff/heals, and so on. Rarely ever was my duty to blast anything and risk getting aggro on me since we had no tank in team. Did you read the developers statements and the testing done ? The net outcome is a dmg buff, and even more because now the DPA has been adjusted and increased.
  19. Totally useless for 801 runs and Relentless ITF and Relentless Aeon. Also, the build is EXTREMELY tight already. This toon, is for support, and I have more videos now that he has all T4s. He did 801 lvl 8. Also, the Heldenjaeger for me is easy stuff if done at -1x8, done that with almost all my toons. I imagine you mean MoEden in a team. If so, that's way way easier than 801s Vast majority of players who do Mo Eden will not run them at +4 x8 When designing this for team support on extremely challenging stuff , you do not want any stuff like entangling aura. It is a waste of power slot when something more useful TO DO your specific role. You leave the holds for the specialists. Nature defender should not be in the business of making holds in extreme challenges. Leave that for dominators and in some cases controllers.

  21. I can certainly appreciate this, but I want to let other players know, anytime they want me to help them out playing, or practicing, the characters, just hit me up. Send me a message. I can team with you, observe you, give you feedback or tips. All for the love of the game.
  22. On the second day after reaching lvl 50, I decided to experiment and check how strong, how sturdy, my Nature Defender would be in a team support role. Not much better to test that than in the extremely difficult 801 challenges of City of Heroes. We do a lvl 6 extreme 801. I have zero incarnates at this time. So no level shifts, no destinies, nada.
  23. I will make a post and consolidate everything about that dom in one single place, along with all the videos.
