Trick Arrow and Storm will be the top two as always, with Storm being still the top spot because STORM is ALL about dmg, and those 5 (2 tornadoes , 3 Lightning Storms) pets out will pwn in the damage category.

Dark Mind Plant Even Earth ( Cleared Part 2 of the ITF solo no insps no deaths and that is extremely difficult to do for any dominator) Are super great not because of what you read on text or theories. They are super great by what they have been able to achieve, do, and the degree of extremely difficult content they have been able to do solo. This new control set has proven nothing yet.

Yeah, that combo has to be the funnest in the game if we include in it the sound FX and the visuals

Last test I only had 3 incarnates and the three were only at T3. Changed enhancements on Roots as well, and the hold. If my SEARCH FU is strong, the two top controllers are the Fire/Storm and my Plant/Storm, basically the same time, just one second difference. 5:51

Just to correct slightly here. I never said the resist can be enhanced for FF. Cold has resists that can. I never said anything to contradict this

issue 27 Focused Feedback: Symphony Control
Voltak replied to The Curator's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
There are sound waves that are unheard or not capable to be heard by some living beings. Thematically there is no need to justify the aggro, that's not an obligation. There are sounds that place enemies to sleep too and do not require any aggro to be caused either. So, thematically we can get rid of the aggro. -

I agree with you there 100% -- Experience, lots of it, says it's better if you remove the dmg or remove the notify, remove the aggro. If you don't remove the dmg, then remove the aggro completely. The ability to control first in a safe manner should be priority and this becomes even more important when trying to do so without the set bonuses to get your defenses high. Everytime an opener draws aggro, our options on how to open a group safely are diminished. We do not want those options to diminish. The more options the better we can perform and adjust our tactics. -

Here, another player who sees that the set is NOT fine as it is. Thanks for the observation. I would prefer the pet does not repeat the confuse especially if it has a dmg component to it. Something has to change. I want the confuse to remain. No, remove the dmg from sleep. I don't want it to draw aggro at all. Or, keep the dmg but remove the aggro. But bottom line, remove the aggro from it. -
We decided to try some sort of combination for a trio which we have not done before. We came up with the following combination 1. Illusion/Kinetics controller 2. Plant/Storm controller 3. Dark/Dark Dominator It worked and performed well. We liked it very much. We will use it for other challenging stuff later on.

This here is also without making any sense given the facts. Your statement has no basis on facts. I say this with all due respect. Here are the facts Dark Control has optimal control and optimal damage. Plant has optimal control and optimal damage. A well built Fire Dominator also has solid control and very good damage ( again @EnjoyTheJourney's fire/psi dominator is a super example of this). Mind has good controls and good dmg. So no set, again, no set needs to give up good control to have good damage. I don't know where you draw that standard or that condition from, it simply does not exist as a rule. You can have good control and good damage in a control set and that is evident by the facts by how the game is now. -

The set is NOT fine as it is. This is from players who have a long history of playing dominators and control sets. We request the damage be removed, it is not needed and traditionally it's never been in a single confuse power, no dmg has been included in those before. We want an ST confuse with no dmg in it so we have options on how to open groups without drawing aggro. Same thing with sleep, and would love the sleep to work like Electric or other Sleeps that do not draw aggro, like Mind. We do not have to adapt to it being this way as it is. That's not true. It could be changed, it does not have to stay the way it is. So we don't have to adapt to anything yet since it's still in testing and this is exactly what this forum is for, for feedback, suggestions, ideas on what's being tested. It will feel better with no dmg in those powers. Why should we acquiesce to how THEY want Symphony control to play ?? We are the players. We play the game. Players of games do not play to acquiesce developers. What are you talking about? Traditionally it is the devs who develop and make changes to acquiesce to the players, the customers, or the supporters. We are in this together. We have the right to express what we want. I welcome the interaction here and I applaud the Devs for giving all of us a chance to express and share. This is done optimally without the burden to "acquiesce" being placed on the players. It's the other way around. -

Please, Devs, do this change. This will NOT make Symphonic Control OP. This will not break the game. Implementing this change will allow greater options on how to open a group. Hardly anyone is going to miss or feel the need for the ST confuse to do dmg. -
I will respectfully disagree here in light of experience I have had, what I have seen first-hand. @EnjoyTheJourney has a super Fire/Psionic Dominator that absolutely shreds AoE. Hot Feet + 3 Bonfire + Cages + Psychic Shock Wave (the biggest AoE out of Doms assault sets) and you have a sure way to be cleaning out Areas. Next, you have Plant Control Doms. They can also clear out areas with speed. Now, @EnjoyTheJourney and I have done the ITF @54x8 difficulty settings, no inspirations, no deaths, no temps, and we absolutely demolish the towers of the ITF in no time. We clear part 3 of the iTF quickly.

Negative. Powerboost will boost NONE of the Cold shields. Why? They have a resists element to them. For sheer Defense, nothing beats a Force Field Defender for team wide defense, individual defense that is, with powerboost and Clarion radial.
-
Thank you, Ninja. I am using a build made to be very tanky, as many resists numbers as I can cram, range defenses, long control duration and as much recharge as I can squeeze in there to try to reach permanent domination and such. This one is not a proc bomb build. I have the proc bomb posted in the other threads.

I had done another video of my Dark dominator vs huge map of Carnies, and I did vs the Carnies AV +3 levels and Carnies AV +4 levels above, solo. I decided to do one vs Malta who is among the more dangerous enemies of the game. I did have to switch Destiny because I had endurance issues fighting Malta and not because of zappers but because of the high resistances that some of their members have so it takes more time to kill them.

In my AE challenges I have made provisions against lone or single dominators who will be inclined or will desire to walk through mobs with mass confusion or seeds. I have used "engineers" with traps or some sort of dispersion bubbles. So, for example, Cimerorans have a shout that acts similar to Clear Mind. Now imagine that in conjunction with a dispersion bubble. The Engineers in the Cimeroran enemy groups, they could be given that thematic power. Initial reaction to contact, they engage the bubble and engage the shout. If your confuse power misses they will trigger the event. If the mobs are dmg'd at all, in any degree, they give the shout. Right now Cimerorans give the shout when low in health. Do not grant any of them an innate Mag 10 protection. Have them engage the shout and dispersion as soon as any dmg is received. Or, as soon as enemy proximity is detected. This would be an ideal scenarios for Stalkers to become valuable in the ITF, taking these engineers out, and make it so Stalker could really kill them easily more easy than anyone else. Make them weak or vulnerable vs Stalker dmg. I have buffers in my AE that grant protection vs confuse so no one has done them via using confusion alone since I made the changes. Yet, not a single one of my mobs have Mag 10 protection. This is similar to some Arachnos bosses like Fortunatas who have an additional layer of protection, now imagine that layer with a friendly nearby who grants protection vs confuse. Along those lines is what I am getting at.

I see some players have tagged me in this thread and in a subject which deals with confusion and the ITF. I appreciate that. I had not read this thread being that I was busy. I don't know of any other player who has solo'd the ITF with a dominator at max difficulty settings +4x8), no inspirations, no deaths, nor the LR SF at same difficulty settings. So I understand why I am being tagged in this thread. I know that I used "possession" extensively to do this, but it was not the only tactics and to solo the ITF with a dominator at such difficulty level is still extremely difficult and it takes skill and patience and will power to even keep the desire to finish the whole thing. GM Impervium, my hat off to you for taking time to respond. I appreciate and have empathy or sympathy for the load of work all of you do. I do, if I may, feel like I have to express something that concerns me: Many players, and I don't know about Devs, but many people look at Dominators "Cheesing" game content or task forces with "Possession" or "Confuse". So that's "Cheesing". When a tank steamrolls through the ITF like it's a walk in the park, that's not cheesy, right? Walking around like God Mode all over, is not cheese. In our Master ITF chnl, tankers who want to go through the test, they must do the ITF at the same settings I did but they must do it with enemies buffed or else it won't go on the boards on record, because tanks is just too easy of a game mode to play. They are the kings of cheese, they walk , run with cheese all over. So let's look at it with equality here, please. We are using our tools to deal with matters. I mean, I solo'd the ITF , same settings, with an Empathy Defender and I have that on video. What's my cheese there? This could have been handled another way. Please look at my AEs which are even harder than @Linea's 801. There is no way a dominator will cheese the whole thing because there are mobs who grant support to the enemies, similar to CImerorans, and it's not a shout mechanic like Cimerorans use. Yet, control is very much welcome. What many teams would fail at doing, Linea and I did with his Plant/Time Controller and my empathy defender. But it took keen tactics and strategies. It was still very difficult and it took controlling the right mobs at the right time. Even then we still had 4 deaths before we finished. Again, it was something super tankers and teams of 8 were just getting wrecked. Talk to me if you want to know more. At least I find solace that if a tanker cannot solo relentless ITF then Dominators cannot either. But Mag 10 is a bit of a bitter one for me to swallow because it was directed specifically at Dominators. I am free to discuss and thanks for the players who tagged me. The key to making harder challenges vs players is bring debuffs and buffs to the enemies' arsenal. There are some great power sets you could grant to enemies that will really challenge players. You don't need the ridiculous amounts of dmg like it was given to enemies in Relentless AEON. You don't need exaggerated mag protections of any kind like the ones implemented here. There are other ways. The same great sets that players use to debuff or buff players , those sets can be a beautiful thing vs those same players. Please, I am not trying to be negative here. I think this is the best of times because we are actually able to discuss this with the devs and I am sure they love the game as much as we do. I am rooting for the Dev team because I know they are on a volunteer basis.

Short video on some fun edgy parts of the APEX trial. I do the TIN/PEX combo trials with very small teams a lot, since they much harder to do that way than in big teams. I generally steer away from easy game content and this is our way to make it more challenging. A team of 8 is by far easier and faster to do than just two people doing this. This way is also more fun to us.

Interesting take indeed. For grinding 1 - 50 plant can be a challenge indeed and paired with Electric , that's another level of challenge as well. Kudos to you for grinding that out, much respect. You are going to love, if you ever grind a Dom again, a Dark Dominator or a Mind Dom or an Electric Dom. Those are super fun to grind and powerful even defensively.

As with other Single Target Confuse, strategically, I would like for the dmg component of the ST confuse in the new control Symphonic to go away. The strategic use of confuse is hampered by the ST confuse now doing dmg. Since it now does dmg, the group around the target will become aggro'd.There is no need and no one is asking for the ST confuse to dmg anything.Traditionally confuse is not done with the hopes to aggro the group Seeds of COnfusion is different because it is AoE and it is short recharge. But single target confuse...Still time to change this.We don't need the dmg to remain, right? Would love to keep all ST confuse to work the same, no aggro. Much better than for it to do dmg and aggro the group. Leaves less options on how to open a group.
