Thank you for sharing their stories! Though you have a LOT of "favorites" Love seeing and hearing about all the cool original or otherwise stories folks come up with. I have no creative bones in my body lol, but I can appreciate the works of others.

Only have experience on Excelsior and Everlasting. Ever is ofc the "RP Shard". Thought its a pretty mixed bag of RPers and general folks just playing around. I'll say my best general interactions have been on Everlasting. Ewe/ The Goat gave me a phenomenal tour of all the updates my first week back after broadcasting for a while in Atlas they were doing tours. Got me a few badges, sent me home with a few million inf and a SG invite. Excelsior has a noticeably different tone. Where Everlasting feels like a hometown vibe with the occasional squabble, it's generally just chill. Excel ranges from normal non-rp interactions to more "serious" tones on occasion. I would wager theres a higher propensity of min-max type players (though they're likely a low % overall) and more "hardcore" types that like function over form. Both have a place for my weekly play sessions. I think people continue to gravitate towards Excel because of the population density. Finding a team in LFG takes just a few minutes almost any day of the week. However, with more people comes a higher chance of odd interactions. I'm so happy to be back on CoX so I do everything in my power to deescalate when there's riffing either in team, broadcast or even LFG. I've had notably more poor interactions in Excel where someone is acting a fool, trolling/griefing, or just being rude. But again, that makes up maybe less than 2% of my interactions. I haven't played others but hear Torchbearer has extra XP and a rather calm community.

There are days/weeks where you're leaning towards one lol. But thank you for sharing your stable of interesting character concepts and their stories! I love how their stories are linked through the same vein of human weapons testing programs, each having its own name or spun off from the other. I never even thought to do something like this past "They're the sister of X". Great stuff @Heatstroke @legendaryjman That is a great idea! I had to do something similar with my main from Live. I had several floating around 20 and never loved any until I made a Crabbermind by the name of "Golden Soldier". Of course, coming back late, that name was gon,e and now a vigilante disciple found his crabpack, and it integrated perfectly with his neural network, allowing him to use its power as he sees fit! @Go0gleplex Major Holocaust looks tough! IMHO FM/Rad Armor fits the look better. Love both of their stories and costumes! @VPrime I have seen your group of toons on the Costume thread! I love the simplicity of Project Vitality's look. Echoing my response to Heatsroke, I LOVE the idea that multiple alts share a lineage or common ground for backstory! Looks like I need to think about a cast of Magi or something hailing from some fantasy dimension and tie them together. I wanted to make this thread in hopes of people sharing the awesome stuff they come up with in one place, and you all have surpassed my expectations! Thank you!

I have two! Xa'rula DB/SB Stalker (Excelsior) My first 50 after coming back from Live! As of a week ago. I had never tried stalkers on live and roller her blind after making 20 or so alts in my first week back. My loose RP is she's an enforcer for Lillith that's enjoyed her time too much since leaving the Hells. Punishing sinners brings her absolute joy. It took me a while and a lot of build experimenting to get DB feeling good on a stalker. I learned later that it's a but sub-optimal but I loved the look and feel so made it work anyway. Speaking of looks, I'm proud to say this is an original costume. I love it. Like all my other toons she has a casual - mid level - battle armor/robo (for MSRs) - and final form. Usually I look at the costume thread for inspiration but after 1000+ hours of Baldurs Gate 3, I had no shortage of fantasy inspiration. Annnndd Phaedros Shield/Elec Tanker (Excel) With Phaedros I wanted to build a transdimensional warrior. Many of those alts in made and created coming back shared his base costume that I assembled and shared his name so I tied that together into a concept where he was a warrior caught in a dimensional wormhole shifting from one to another. His primary goal to maintain the peace and protect everyone wherever he landed. He has several costumes ranging from modern tactical, techno, classic roman and his shown "modern warrior" I enjoy. He's still on the climb to 50 (42 at time of posting) but love running teams with him, especially when leading the few ITFs I'm familiar with. As far as gameplay, he's still a bit end hungry but double teleport AOE blasts are SO FUN. Every. Time. Thanks for reading and can't wait to see what people post! I will read ALL of them

Hello all! 👋 I love going through the forums and seeing awesome costumes, creative RP bios, and mathematical feats achieved by build crafters. I spend a lot of time casually browsing the forums and haven't seen a thread like this so I wanted to start one. Tell me about your favorite character or characters! Why are they your favorite? Nostalgia? They make all the enemies fall down in 5 seconds? You spent weeks coming up with an RP and get to share your story with friends online? I want to know! Feel free to include pics of costumes or builds as relevant. If you're proud of it, share it! 😄

I've desperately been trying to love Kheldians and specifically Warshades since live. But I cannot stand the changeling meta playstyle. I know - just don't do it. But I hate that I feel incredibly held back by a mono or even dual form playstyle. Plus it just looks so ridiculous swapping forms and exploding into whatever color of alien mist. Yeah its fun watching everything fall down, super fast (especially for PBs). But it feels and looks clunky/wrong. I wish the forms worked as toggles that retained all powers relevant to the theme of that form and melee/range specific attack buffs since they're still limited IE: Nova would retain any and all armor toggles (at a reduced effect) and all ranged attacks across the entire power spread. Dwarf form would grey out any ranged attacks and a small damage or ToHit buff to melee. Give it access to all melee attacks in the set and the PBAoE auras. And maybe human form should get some inherent passive since the other two come with their own buffs. I can see the outline of a vision where instead of one primary build (since HEATs are the most powerset restricted in the game) where you have 3 totally viable playstyles in Human, Nova, or Dwarf and theres still room for hybrids. H/VEATs are some of the lowest created and while they can all be viable, whether for meta or general purpose, they pigeon hole themselves. Some worse than others. Until then I'll continue to try and make a Human/Dwarf WS semi-viable. Thanks for reading

I have been trying and failing desperately at finding anything close enough to capture the essence of Kaiju No.8. Been dying to make a SS/BIO brute out of this concept but can't get anywhere close to the look. Any help?

Phaedros Shield/Elec Tank - He has quite a few costumes, but I'll show off his simple modern hero design. "Phaedros" and variations of the name have been used across Heroes on different servers, so I have given him a time/dimension traveling warrior story to explain away any recurring or slightly different iterations of his character. Xaul'ra DB/SR Stalker - My proudest original design thus far. I was going for the Demon Queen's personal assassin energy. P.S. If anyone has tips on how to take better in-game pics I am ALL EARS

Completely agree. As an MM main from Live they are so fun but to the above point, animating all of the motions would be rather intensive then programming those to work with the already convoluted MM systems would likely be tough. I was a bit disappointed getting on Homecoming and they added a couple of dogs as a the only new options. Maybe they could recycle some assets from enemies in the game. Like "Aliens" with re-skinned Rikkti would be pretty awesome honestly.

Hello! I have long dreamed of living out my perfect Grim Reaper Vigilante fantasy amongst video games. Darksiders 2 comes to mind. I would be over the moon to see a power pool around Scythes. I imagine it somewhere between Titan Weapons and Staff fighting with either bleed procs or some sort of "sow" or "execute" combo system baked in. A predominance of cone AOEs most likely since it is, in the real world, an extremely unpractial weapon. I can think of several ideas of attacks for the weapon set ranging from simple slashes to raking to spin2win AOEs. Thrown in a build up/taunt for relevant ATs ofc. But if that is far, far to much to ask, then maybe just a couple of Scythe-skin options for staff fighting ranging from common farm scythe to legendary grim-reaper-lich levels (a-la Myrkul from BG3) Thanks for reading! -Sye
