Careful. If you're too moderate and reasonable, they'll take away your forum posting license. @baster this thread is a bit like someone drowning in the kiddie pool and arguing with the people telling him to stand up. Replacing the endurance bar with some kind of super meter mechanic.just sort of moves around your problem. The people who can't figure out endurance won't figure out Other Endurance. The players who did figure it out will just figure out perma-Basterbuff. The game does not do a great job of teaching you how it works. Also, the playerbase here is generally so far removed from the new player's perspective that they sometimes struggle with understanding it. But tere is a lot of good advice in this thread if you can filter out the "go play somewhere else" and "git gud n00b" replies. You wanted endurance to not be an issue? Poof. It's not.

Don't forget to pack a spare Essence of Earth... just in case.

Holy crap. You're a monster!

People are unimaginative and tend to overvalue their own personal experiences. When they dismiss another perspective out of hand, it usually means they have a very limited understanding of the subject being discussed.

Letting go of Def and giving in to the concept
Forager replied to hoodedKitsune's topic in General Discussion
Well in the spirit of the thread, they can fit a concept very well AND you have to take one to get into the Fighting pool anyway. You don't use it as part of any rotation. You use it when an enemy has a sliver of health left and you want to save an attack and look like a badass. On blasters it has allowed me to use a melee set that I wouldn't otherwise have AND skip my T1, which I would only use for those aforementioned slivers anyway. -
Somebody lied to you.
-
Yeah that seems like a significant oversight. Unless the logic was that a Help Me player should be treated like a teammate? This is a new change, right?

Letting go of Def and giving in to the concept
Forager replied to hoodedKitsune's topic in General Discussion
Yes, OP... I've done this too. I recently butchered my favorite character trying to "optimize" the build... and haven't played him since. I gave up decent defense and resist to everything in exchange for soft-capped ranged defense because that works well for me on another character... Thanks for this thread... I'm gonna go change him back and maybe even slot for knockback. -
Wait until OP finds out about hit points...
-
Right. That's exactly what lack of empathy feels like Edit: I realized it's probably a terminology issue. You are talking about approval, not empathy. Empathy is not conditional, for obvious reasons.
-
It is extremely difficult to empathize when it's conditional... maybe even impossible.

Why is there no Armour set in the game?
Forager replied to Scarlet Shocker's topic in General Discussion
Easy fix! They could use existing pieces from the costume creator as power customization options... -
Kallisti Wharf is not in Paragon City for the purpose of alignment tips
Forager replied to mechahamham's topic in Bug Reports
But anyway... the message is definitely a funny little bug. That's pretty good. Maybe break up that run-on. -
Kallisti Wharf is not in Paragon City for the purpose of alignment tips
Forager replied to mechahamham's topic in Bug Reports
Uh oh! Another whoopsie! Nobody is discussing that. It is a little confusing, because it seems related. This thread is not about whether you can accept alignment tips in co-op zones, but again it is very cool that you know this thing about the game. -
Kallisti Wharf is not in Paragon City for the purpose of alignment tips
Forager replied to mechahamham's topic in Bug Reports
Right! Very good! That's more like it. This message is kind of inaccurate then maybe, right? What do you think about the message saying you're not in Paragon City when you are? -
Kallisti Wharf is not in Paragon City for the purpose of alignment tips
Forager replied to mechahamham's topic in Bug Reports
Oh you poor thing. This thread is about the humorous wording of the message. OP is commenting on the message used to indicate the mechanic that you are describing. It's interesting because it says you're not in Paragon City, but maybe you are... or maybe Kallisti Wharf is actually NOT in Paragon City... there's all kinds of interesting ways the conversation could go. Maybe the message should be changed! Maybe there should be different messages depending on where you are! Edit: But it is very cool that you know this thing about the game! -
I found a miniature city for giant monster/kaiju play...
Forager posted a topic in Base Construction
Rampage City! RAMPAGE-27317 on Everlasting Built by Hobo Town This is a really cool miniature city. It's consistent in theme and a really interesting use of the editor. If you wanted to be a giant monster or kaiju and stomp around a city, this is a great place to do it. A kaiju themed PvP event here would rock. I just found this while looking for something else in the base directory and thought someone else might get a kick out of it. -
Yeah totally. Agreed. It's unfortunate that it seems that way to you.
-
Whoopsie! You seem to have lost your place a little bit. I asked if you had any thoughts. You replied to me, but forgot to include your thoughts! I am asking the question. I am asking a question related to the topic. Should changes be included in the patch notes? It's not a trick. No need to be cagey. It's the topic we are discussing. Discourse can be tough. If you don't have any thoughts, that's always ok. I can help you. Maybe you think changes should be included in the patch notes. Maybe you think some changes are ok to exclude... maybe you even have criteria you could share. Maybe you don't care at all or have not put any thought into it. All those positions are OK.

Yeah but the question was "should changes be listed in the patch notes?"
-
Hmm. I interpreted the body of OPs post to mean that changes should be listed in the patch notes... because that's what it says. Most of the confusion lies in people reacting to the word choice of the title and arguing that his example is not a significant change. Only a couple of people have addressed whether or not changes should be listed in the patch notes. But... changes should be listed in the patch notes. I don't think anyone has argued against that.
