CoH was my first MMO. Nothing beats that first day I logged in on Live ... People floating and flying around. Characters zooming by with Super Speed. That music ..Atlas Park ... Happiness

Early on, when I first joined, I heard someone in chat talk about street sweeping and how the xp was higher. There I was on my first character, an Emp/Elec defender, charging into huge mobs. The Debt accrued was glorious

I am going through my entire roster, spending a month on each character. Getting as far as I can with each one. Setting a good build Incarnates Badges I will log into others to move them for day job badges

He ignored all research protocols, no IRB, and I don't think he contacted anyone of the CoH staff about what he was doing. His "experiment" was one-sided and as has been stated done without consent. I teach at the university level* (meh) You would be surprised by the lengths that you have to go through to get a research project approved. Especially when it involves people. Every university has an Institutional Review Board, or IRBs. They review research studies to ensure that they comply with applicable regulations, meet commonly accepted ethical standards, follow institutional policies, and adequately protect research participants. Color me very surprised if he had one. ** He screwed with people because there is no rule against it. You don't need an "experiment" to find out that people would be upset. @barrier brings up valid points. Twixt played the game one way and because of that invalidates any "results" he felt were achieved. But look where games are now. I played Tarkov ... and had my a$$ handed to me. I played the game as intended, others did not... now what? Kheldians have three forms. You choose not to use two and now want something to fill in the gap. Hard no. You made a choice. I am an ardent TriForm believer. I have three builds: TriForm , Human/Nova, and Human/Dwarf All Human Forms complain about lack of Mez protection - Dwarf form is an instant breakfree, plus an extra self-heal. Get mezzed in Human and pop into Dwarf...done Nova also helps speed end recovery. And as a form itself is a free travel power... In Triform six AoE ... six. Once you learn how to cycle through them pretty awesome on a team. I have stepped in a Tank role when it was needed on a team lacking a Tank/Brute Nova can quickly pick off runners or take out those attacking squishies at range. Kheldians are not complicated. I have all my power keys mapped via the options available in the game to three trays. Three. Plus a few rarely used, but nice have ones, on a fourth. Kheldians are only challenging because of the number of choices available to us. AND the limited slots. Like all ATs face.

... I appreciate your obvious knowledge, despite its killjoy effect. Having played CoH during on what I could afford .. this meant everything was turned way way way down. Most characters looked pretty terrible. The city looked terrible. But I could play. I simply stated what the game told me when I first logged back in. Yes, I Maxed (no matter how wrong that may be according to you) my settings, except the ones that I knew would be the most troublesome out the gate. How beautiful the city is. The water. The friggin trees! How the sunlight and shadows move I never saw these things on my other PC. I still go to spots in Paragon just for a view and the music.

I bought current laptop about 6 years. Lenovo on sale for about 1,000 The first time I logged into CoH ... game said I could run at Max settings. So any thing current should run it

I do and it varies. Super Speed helps with speed runs I love the Tp in Mystic Flight. Combat Teleport is lovely on my Blappers and some Tanks

This became an issue for me for thethe first time last night. I was running the "Stop the Circle of Thorns from contacting an alternate world" The Mage powers nearly blinded me. Turned particle stuff way down.

Farming existed way way WAY before AE. *shrug

I trust in and believe in my Fire/Kin. Got to 50 mostly on live pre-containment. Re-Rolled it here and still feel the same.
